Arrakis gave a soft snort as she stormed out of her mother’s home. She was in a right fine mood, even as the calls of her distressed mother faded into the distance. The day was dark, over cast with a heavy wind that sent a chill down the spine. Rain threatened to pour over at any moment, even as thunder purred in the distance. This meant little to Arrakis however as she made her way down the path and into the woods.
She had little love for happy things, but her mother’s sudden interest in some random male was enough to set her fur on end. It was nothing right now, but it could become something. That wasn’t what she needed, some strange male poking his nose about. A low snarl tore itself from her as she stalked onward. Not even her poetry could bring peace to her trouble mind at this point.
The femme wanted to hurt something. She needed to sink her teeth into someone just to bring herself some release from this writhing anger. The bundle of dark emotions that had settled itself in her chest was hard for her to breathe around. She was not running, however she was breathing as if she might have been. Her breath coming in short, shallow pants as she pushed pass the barriers of the underbrush and into the comforting embrace of the wood.
It brought her some solace to be hidden behind that dark canopy. Away from prying eyes, and left to her anger. She crushed a flower under paw without a care as she moved forward to hide herself among the dark depths.
