Nevada threw one last look at the basement party, opting to ignore candy and booze for something just a little more filling. Just a little more whole. Her buzz had been ruined by the distaste of Finn, by the sudden attack of bugs again...
She was tired of it being nothing more then a fight everyday and wished more dearly for something normal. Something she could make a happy memory.
Which is why, as she held Chelsea's hand, she knew she made a good choice. A better choice.
"Do you mind if we go to my room? I haven't used it in awhile since rooming with Stormy but..." She shrugged, she had gone back for space from her best friend. "I think I might have a half charged runic radio left...." Her head tilted up to Chel, smiling.

Chelsea leaned over to nuzzle the side of Nevada's cheek with a kiss. "'Course Brownie." She knew the sour feeling of a party gone bad. All she wanted to know was why the party had gone bad. She wouldn't ask just yet though. No need to bring it up right after getting away from whatever it was.
Instead, Chelsea opted to change the subject. "A radio wow. Haven't heard any music here for a while. 'Cept the stuff Jerry plays- he's pretty good, y'know?"
She sorely wished she played an instrument. Maybe she'd take something up. "You'll have to lead the way. I forgot where your room was."
Chel didn't even know where her own room was most of the time. Don't trust her to remember anyone else's.

"It's been awhile too..." She smiled, "I use it when I need to dance some of the stress away, Use to go to a dancing school before here and it's a great way to stay in shape."
A turn down the corridor, leading Chel to Room 155, not the room she shared with Stormy, but the room that she had been originally assigned.
The key was inserted, unlocking and revealing a very plain room. A couple of clothes laid on chairs, a old boombox sat on a desk. Otherwise, most of her stuff was at Stormy's. Even her bed looked plain with its simple bedding.
"Sorry it's not much to show..." She went over to the boom box, switching it on and searching for the music selection she though appropriate...Once the music started, Nevada reached over for Chel, drawing her close.
"There, a private dance just for you Chel." Nevada teased, twirling around the pink haired huntress.

Chel laughed with the twirl, giving her own shimmy in return. Indeed, Nevada's room was a bit of a let down. She was hoping to see some personality or deep dark secrets, but all she got was a plain jane room. That was okay too though- not everyone needed a vibrant room.
"Still got the energy to dance huh? Y'mind if we just lay down? I'm kind of tired and the pillows look comfy." She detached from the mist, moving to the bed and sitting on the edge. "Truth be told ... I was kind of scared back there."

Nevada shook her head again, joining Chelsea on the bed.
The confession startled her for a second, but her hand reached over to Chel's, taking it and rubbing it gently under hers.
"I'm always okay for cuddling Chelsea." Nevada moved closer to the inside of the bed, pulling Chel down with her and brushing a piece of her pink hair away.
"What scared you? The bug?" Nevada bit her lip, "Or was it me?"

Chel casually laid along side Nevada, closing her eyes and wrapping an arm around the smaller girl. This wasn't unusual for Chel, unfortunately, to jst fall into such a close position. With Nevada it was a bit more comfortable though. Homey.
"Nah, not you gorgeous." She faintly wondered if they'd remembered to close the door. It was pushed away with thoughts of Nevada. "Not the bug either. Just ... how casually everyone reacts to killing here. I get it, I get it, we're the hunters they're the hunted." She sighed. "Just feels kinda sad."
She blinked lazily, "They ever try to make friends with 'em?"

"That's good, Sometimes I forget that I can be offsetting as much as welcoming...." She murmured, her hand gently playing in Chel's hair. Ever so slowly, it would drop down to Chel's neck, to her shoulder where it rest there.
Her thoughts were quiet at Chel's question, thinking if she ever had a moment....
"I haven't honestly asked." She bit her lip, "My first experience with students, I ended up getting possessed and it dug out my eye. They are just as bad to us as we are to them but..." She frowned, "There is also a reason why we have weapons. Our weapons are students...halloween creatures that friended hunters enough to agree to be our weapons..." She looked away. "I think we just forget it when we are trying to survive..."
She thought of how easily it was for her to kill the bug mutant, "It's easier for me, because I haven't been treated in kind....and unfortuntely the last mission had some unsavory bugs that possessed us too..." She lifted Chel's face to hers.
"Do you want to make a friend with them?"

Chel instantly regretted bringing up the subject, seeing and hearing the reluctance in Nevada's voice. "Sorry. Should've been more sensitive." She took the moment to tangle her legs with Nevada's, moving closer without fully touching her torso.
"I don't wanna make friends with those kinds," she said darkly. "A'int no kindness in those ones. But maybe ..." she bit her lip. "I dunno. Maybe there's some good ones and we just ai- aren't taking the time to ask." God it was so annoying how her accent came out more fully when she was flustered or thinking hard.
It was a very strange thing for a sun to say, but there it was. "Sorry, I'll shut it up."

"Why? It's not like you knew." She shrugged, her smile coming back. "it's been long enough that I am okay with what it is. It just is." She felt the legs tangling, her breath catching just a bit before releasing.
She was quiet again.
"Maybe when portals are back up again, you should do that." She looked up, "You don't get anywhere with those thoughts stuck in your head. It's all assumptions." She half smiled now.
"It's the same for hunters...some of them have reasons, like me, to shoot first and ask questions later. Not all of us are like that..." She reached down to flick Chel's nose. "Obviously, since you are curious."
She laughed again and shook her head.
"Why Chelsea? Why would you ever want to shut up?" She reached down and laid a gentle kiss on Chel's lips, "You're a person, not a machine. thoughts, feelings....you can talk about them, don't keep them bottled up." It must've helped for Nevada to say these things, because she was use to saying them to Stormy...but not for herself.
"I'm a good listener Chel.." Her lips move to kiss Chel's cheek next before settling down to smile at her.

"Mmm. Portal trips. I have a battery, y'know. We were supposed to use it for ice cream- we still are. You're comin' too." She kissed Nevada back, right on the nose.
The movement left her pressed firmly against Nevada's front. "Alright, I'll be sure to let you know my thoughts. What few there are," she laughed, looking in to Nevada's eyes, searching for some kind of base. It was so nice to have someone to cuddle at the end of the day. "Only you and that pretty smile."

"Ice cream." Nevada smiled, closing her eye with a dreamy sigh. "I'd love an ice cream trip soon. It is much needed." She had a slight blush rising to her cheeks, not sure why since she was so comfortable.
It wasn't like being with Chelsea was...Okay no it was different, it was much different. She didn't feel like she put the girl in sister category. She was attracted, just as much as she would be with a boy...it was odd and strange but easy to go with the flow on. Plus...maybe she'd have better luck opening up to a girl...rather then her luck with boys.
Her heart sped a little more, not sure if was the alcohol that had her tingling, or that of anticipation for...well anything.
She bit her lip, wondering what she should do. Play the first move? Let it ride into cuddles? At Chelsea's comment, another smile bloomed.
"Yours isn't all that bad either Pinkie..." She brushed Chel's hair behind her ear, "You got honest eyes, and I like that." She teased. the biting of the lip returned only for a moment. She dipped her head again this time, pressing her lips against Chel's in a silent question, if the other girl wanted to deepen it, she could. If she didn't, Nevada would pull back and they would cuddle regardless.
It was your move Chel.

Chel fell into Nevada's kiss easily. She'd never been very tight with her lips or her legs, and now was no exception. Hell, she'd kissed Evan the first day she'd shown up here. Friends with benefits were always welcome in Chel's house.
But somehow ... there was a pull to Nevada, a magnetism she hadn't been expecting. Was this just mutual sex-friends or did Nevada want more- did she want more? Chel was fine with more sex in her life, but a girlfriend in her life? And why did she care so much about what Nevada wanted?
She blocked out the question of commitment by returning the kiss, hands slinking lower on Nevada's back. She answered Nevada's question without meaning to, on accident. One hand stayed securely on Nevada's back, but the other moved to her neck, weaving in her long hair. It was too late to take it back.

It was easy to fall into a kiss, it was simple enough not to think too much of it.
That's what she wanted to think? Before her time with Otto, before her time with Tuck, she had been easy with her kisses and her cuddles. Not had much had changed, but it had enough that the subtle shift in the kiss from Chelsea had her wondering.
it wasn't simple, or easy. It had become...well...it became something that required thought for consequences. To her, it couldn't be simple flirtations anymore.
She pulled back with a soft sigh, smiling again as she opened her eye.
"I hope you don't mind that I'm a little rusty." She teased, "I haven't...been with someone like this in awhile..." meaning romantically...unless of course that wasn't what Chelsea was looking for. Even with friends with benefits hadn't lasted long for Nevada....

Chel felt the absence on her lips with confusion, meeting Nevada's eyes with reluctance. That was a lot more than she'd been expecting out of a kiss. The complacent look on Nevada's face scared her. Chelsea knew that look. That was the look of someone in love.
But was she in love?
"No, no Nevada," Chel murmured, using the mist hunter's actual name. No nicknames. She couldn't contain herself, kissing the hunter once more, even pulling the girl back in. "You're um. s**t I'm not good with words. ********>" Couldn't actions be enough? Words slurred into another kiss, mixing her thoughts all over again. Sexualized actions were what Chel knew. That was how she communicated. "Sorry. ********. You're just really pretty and- s**t."
This was going splendidly.

The complacent look was just as it was. Complicated. There was a lot of feelings. Lust, curiousity. And a simple aching for having someone to be with. Someone to finally see Nevada for what she was.
She didn't think she was in love, but she was serious, in the matter that if she got involved with Chelsea, it would be serious...and real. She wouldn't be second place to another girl.
"No?" She said quietly, just a bit confused. No to being together? her eyebrow raised at the admission as Chel lived up to her word speech impediment. It was actually pretty cute.
Nevada's hand reached to take Chel's in hers, smiling again. "it's okay Chelsea. Take your time..." She squeezed, "Take your time, you can tell me...You can tell me in the way that suits you best okay?" She closed her eye. "I'm listening..."
