Let There Be Rules!
.) Though obvious, this particular rule can't be enforced enough. Follow Gaia TOS.
.) Although there's sure to be violence and most likely romance, let's try to keep the roleplay at a PG 13 level. This means if things are getting heated (romantically speaking) skip it. Or, if it's okay with both sides, take it to private messages.
.) Keeping with the PG 13 "theme", so to speak, keep the cursing down to a minimum. Yes there can be cursing as long as you don't abuse it. Your vocabulary should be broader than a few choice, colorful terms.
.) Absolutely no God-Modding. Slight puppeting of another person's character will be accepted as long as you have gotten permission from the other person. In cases such as these, put that you have gotten permission in a small out of character blurb at the end of your post where the puppeting is happening.
.) Absolutely, and with all certainty NO TEXT TALK. I cannot stress this enough. Whilst you may think it is "cute" or "fun" it is, in all reality, annoying and will probably get many people angry with you. If you're writing out a post it's assumed that you are sitting at a computer and taking your time to write out a well written, and thoughtful post that will allow those you are interacting with to write a good amount as well without putting in too much unneeded fluff. This means that you can take the extra two seconds to write out the entire word rather than take the lazy road and discourage people from interacting with your character.
.) As an extension to that try and put some meat into your posts. No one liners. At least two paragraphs, each with at least five sentences. Honestly, just write as much as you can without making your post into a novel. Those interacting with you want to be able to create well written, meaty posts as well and if your posts are lacking in content, it may negatively affect their posts as well.
.) Be courteous to the others. We're all here to have fun, respect that and try to make friends. Who knows, a friend made here could mean a roleplay partner for years to come.
.) Tying in with number 7, try to keep out of character drama to a minimum. I know that some people just rub you the wrong way but be professional about it. If you have a problem with someone contact me explaining what you feel they are doing wrong. Do NOT try to take matters into your own hands if it may cause drama. We want you all to have a peaceful and enjoyable experience in this guild, and in order to ensure that situations causing drama need to be dealt with accordingly. I'll try to solve matters causing drama in a diplomatic and fair way, but sometimes people just can't stop causing it. In which case those will have to suffer the repercussions of their actions and/or attitude. We'll cross that bridge when it comes and punishment/consequences will be decided by the captain and the rest of the moderators.
.) Most of all try to have fun. That's what this guild is here for. To bring people together and create an alternate life. One filled with adventure and amazing stories for your character who is, in all reality, an extension of yourself.
