Kilian’s heart tugged at him as his cousin pulled away from him. He closed his sockets as he heard his father utter the last words he’d probably ever hear from the man. His words were true. Kilan had made his choice. Hadn’t even gave it a second thought as he’d put his blade to his father’s neck. Seeing Erionda in danger had broken something inside of him. He would kill to protect her. Even if it meant his own flesh and blood.
Kilian buried his face in Erionda’s hair as his family turned to leave. He wouldn’t watch them go. He couldn’t. When Erionda pulled back, he opened his sockets to gaze down at her. The tears streaming down her face made him ache. So much heartache today. So unnecessary. He tensed as she moved for the fabric at his neck. He had completely forgotten about the cut in his haste to get to Erionda. He searched her face as she spoke. “Please don’t apologize.” He said as he watched her bring out a vial with something in it he’d rather not be put on his skin.
Kilian wrinkled his nose at the goo but complied. He reached back with one hand and untied the mask, removing it from around his mouth and neck. He winced as her fingers gently ran over the wound. It stung but he’d felt worse. He let out a sigh as the stinging slowly went away. As his mind played through the events that had just taken place he kept getting stuck on one thing; Erionda’s confession. Did she even realize she had said it? His fingers brushed over her cheek, wiping away the tears that had fallen down them. “Rio, did you mean what you said?” Kilian asked of her. Silently pleading for her to say it again.

Erionda’s fingers were soft and careful as they moved to disinfect the wound on Kilians neck. Her eyes taking in every detail of his chin, his lips, his neck. He was wonderful without the cloth covering his face. Her features softened as she moved to recap the goop and slip the vial back into her small bag. She was the only one she knew that could see him like this. Be this close to him and she loved it. Her eyes flicked towards where his family had disappeared. He may not blame her outright, but she blamed herself. If it hadn’t been because of her his family wouldn’t have rejected him like that. Attacked him, cut his flesh.
The feel of his fingers on her skin moved her eyes back to his face. He was brushing away tears she hadn’t even realized had fallen. Closing her eyes briefly before he spoke. Her mind whirling and dizzy with the sensation as she focused on his touch. Startled as he asked her a question, erionda’s eyebrows stitched together in thought. What did he mean by what she had said. Her mind stumbled over every event. “That you’re father is crazy to treat you in such a way? Yes! Why would a parent attack their child. I don’t understand it! To me family means everything, I just don’t understand how someone could throw such a gift away.”
Something about the look on Kilians face told her that wasn’t what he meant. Looking away towards the forest in thought Erionda’s eyes flicked from one branch to the next. She couldn’t understand what he was asking. Clipping the bag closed Erionda looked towards the direction they had come from. The day was growing darker, would they end up staying the night in Soudul? They would have to move quickly in case Itzal had sent word that a Hybrid was in the forest seducing his son. She winced at that thought. “W-we should get moving soon. Incase there is more trouble in the area.”

Kilian frowned as she talked. “Rio...it’s how Oblivionites are.” He shook his head. “Granted, I didn’t expect it out of my father but I’m not entirely surprised.” He shrugged as his gaze wandered over to the grouping of brush that his family had disappeared into. “If you wish to blame yourself, then you must also blame me.” He said as he turned his head back towards her.
That response hadn’t been the one he had wanted from her, though. Kilian was disappointed that she couldn’t say it again. Then again, he couldn’t say anything. The words were stuck in his throat as well. It would be a huge leap in their relationship. It would make things more real than anything else could. It had to be obvious to her how he felt though. He had given up his family for her. Would do it over and over again if he had to.
Kilian sighed deeply as he let the subject drop. He would not push her or himself. He nodded at her suggestion. “We can move a bit deeper into the forest, get away from the city.” He entwined his fingers with hers. “But we should stay here for the night. it’s getting late and we’re both worn out.” He leaned down and kissed her cheek before raising back up and looking deep into the forest.

Erionda nodded her agreement. Something about the conversation nagged at her. As if she were forgetting something very important. Squeezing her fingers Erionda shifted to move back the way they had come. They didn’t walk much farther into the forest before Rio was sure she had found a perfect place to camp. Letting go of Kilians hand erionda set off in search of stones to line a fire pit. Gathering up plenty of stick and logs to create a fire. Her hands set to work as she struggled to build a fire that would offer Kilian comfort for the night. She herself was more comfortable in the cold air.
Once the fire was rolling before them. Creating as little smoke as Rio could manage her eyes turned to seek out Kilian. Her breath hitched as she caught sight of him. He had changed so much since they had first met. Height alone was not the only thing that had changed. “I must not have answered your question properly.” Erionda managed, her voice husky with bemusement. Stepping towards him Erionda leaned against the nearby tree. Her eyes watching him. Every moment she spent with him he seemed to grow more appealing to her in every way. Glancing away as a soft blush kissed her cheeks, she found herself staring at the fire.
So that was how Oblivionites were. Why was Kilian so different from all the other Oblivionites she had met? He was even better than the Orderites who had caused her harm. Crossing her ankles resting her head against the tree Erionda looked up towards the canopy of leaves. Small patches of stars were visible leading to a clear sky above. She just couldn’t figure out what it had been that she had said that had prompted Kilian to ask if she had meant it.

Kilian watched as Erionda began building a fire. It had been the last thing he’d expected but was very grateful for it. “Thank you...” He said as he stripped his chest armor off and moved over next to the fire, staring into the depths of the flames. His thoughts were elsewhere as Erionda spoke. Replaying the events that had happened that day and how things had gone terribly wrong. Because I love him.. The words kept repeating in his head over and over. He couldn’t get past them.
His gaze was tore away from the flames as she leaned against a tree. Did she truly not remember saying those words? Had they been true? Ripped from her heart in the heat of the moment? Kilian frowned as moved over to the tree and Erionda. “Rio..I..” The words caught in his throat as he followed her gaze up to the sky. It was such a vast world out there. The two of them meeting had been pure luck.
Kilian’s gaze came back to Erionda’s face and he let out a sigh. He didn’t know how to say it. Had never even thought about how he’d confess. “Damn it.” He mumbled as he banged his fist into the side of the tree. “Why is this so hard?” He growled out as his gaze met Erionda’s.

Erionda flicked a smile from the corner of her mouth as Kilian came closer to her. Showing it was alright to approach. Her eyes flicked from one of his sockets to the next and back again. Was he mad that she couldn’t remember what it was he was trying to get her to recall? Searching the sky letting her hair fall over her shoulders Erionda turned her gaze back to Kilian as his fist thumped against the wood behind her. What was it he was trying to say, perhaps ask? Was it a kiss he wanted.
Erionda smiled softly her lips parted as her shallow breathing echoed in their quiet surroundings. Mesmerized by Kilians dark flesh. Her tongue flicked out against her lips. Her eyes drifted closed as her breath whooshed out of her body. Her hands wrapped around his neck. holding him to her as she placed a gentle kiss on his lips. Her own body calling to something greater. She pulled him against her as she leaned back against the the tree. Her lips left his as she kissed his chin, his jaw his neck. A fierce desire to take whatever he was willing to give fought against the thread of reason that held the last of her sanity. Too easy to lose herself in him. Too simple to let go, his scent made her feel giddy, light headed as a delicious sense of languor combined with a darker emotion that she couldn’t name. She held no hesitation in her kisses, surrendered completely to whatever he wanted from her.
She would gladly give him whatever he asked of her. Letting her fingers brush against Kilians dreads Erionda found his headband slightly annoying. Reaching behind him she moved to loosen the tie. To let his dreads fall loose about his shoulders. Resting her head against the tree she let her eyes travel about his features. He was so fascinating, so compelling. Rio gazed at Kilian with concern. “Is that, what you meant to ask?”

Kilian’s gaze was fixed on Erionda’s lips as her tongue darted out to run along them. he took a deep breath of air, his breathing becoming harsher. As her hands brushed against his skin, and she leaned in to kiss him, his mind went numb. Forgetting the trouble he was having at the moment, he let his arms snake around her waist, to pull her closer to him. He closed his sockets and deepened the kiss, groaning as she left his lips to trail kisses over his jaw and neck.
The sensations were driving him made. He reveled in them. He groaned again as she pulled back from him. A tingling coursed through his lips and his body as he watched her motions. Kilian closed his sockets as she unwound the bandana and wrap he kept his dreads up in. His hair was cool against his body as it fell down, free from it’s confines. It was almost a metaphore of their life together so far. She had released so much inside of him that he had kept hidden. Shown him that he could be and do so much more. He would forever be thankful for letting him be part of her life.
Kilian turned them around so that his back was leaning against the tree and her weight was leaning into his body. He loved feeling all her weight against him as he pulled her closer to kiss her more. He pulled back at her question, frowning slightly. Wanted to ask her? He had wanted to ask her something? His foggy brain played back what had happened b neck efore she had kissed him. “Ah.” He hesitated a second, not sure how to word it. “Rio...” He leaned his head forward and nuzzled her , placing a few light kisses there. “Rio I love you.” The worlds came spilling out before he even had a chance to censor them.

The hybrid shivered as Kilian placed light kisses against her neck. Her pulse throbbed under his lips. Kilian was quickly rewarded with her soft cry, with the shivers that raced through her body and into him. “Goddess it... hurts.” Erionda muttered. Her eyes opened half way as he spoke. Her face engulfed in flames. He loved her? It wasn’t just a simple feeling as like, when it came to the bounds of their emotions it was love. Had she said so during her interaction with his family. The Aiskala’s face lit up into several more shades of red. Yes, she had. She had even screamed it at his father. Erionda tried to force down a lump in her throat. Had those words confused him so much that he had chosen her? Now he was stuck with her?
Shaking her head Rio could feel the tug of her earrings as she pressed up against Kilian. That knowledge was heady, frightening and somehow thrilling at the same time. It goaded her, taunted her and she passed that onto Kilian in light touches, gentle caresses. Stroking his body through the thin fabric of his shirt. She loved him too. Would give up anything for him. This man, her strong Oblivionite who could bend her at his will. Leaning forward Rio placed a firm kiss on his lips. Moving towards his ear with softer presses of her own lips. “I love you too, Kilian.” She whispered. Her arms tightened around his neck. Too much desire, too much want, too much need; a need that ached.

Kilian’s heart thudded violently in his chest. The silence between them seemed to stretch on forever. Did she not love him back? Had he mistakenly heard her back in the clearing? He squeezed his sockets shut, his fears coursing through him as they so often did when he thought of her rejecting him. He groaned at the contact of her fingers and unable to hold back he ran his own fingers over her arms, her shoulders and finally up into her hair.
She was his everything. His breath, he heartbeat, his very life. She was his soul. That vital part that was missing from every Oblivionite. He had finally found it in the form of a small but strong Hybrid. He reveled in the realization that this woman was his other half. His sockets widened as she moved to his ear. “Ah..” He growled low in his throat at the feeling of her breath blowing over his ear. When her words hit home his heart skipped a beat. Those words coming out of her mouth was like a thousand treasures.
He pulled back slightly to look into her eyes. His gaze searched for anything that said otherwise but he was met with nothing but love. He groaned again, unable to hold himself back. “Oh Rio..” He mumbled as he pulled her in for another long kiss. The ache in his chest from his fears was replaced by another ache. One that he felt throughout his entire body. He would never get enough of this woman.

"ye-" Rio began but didn't have the ability to finish before their lips met with an even deeper kiss. pushing her hips flush against him as she returned the kiss. her eyes drifting closed in the moment. her sense were being assaulted. Rio whimpered, her soul seemed tospeak to him when her own words failed. Broken words breathy whispers as she tried to ask him tp calm her ache. she pressed up tightly against him and tried to pull away at the same time.
she fed off his emotions every sensation based on him. Every tremor in his body became hers. Rio marveled at his beauty and his strength. her hands moved. sliding down to his waist pulling away from him. breaking the spell she had been under. stumbling back Rio landed on the ground. her mind a fuzzy haze she was still unable to break away from as she started up at kilian moving some strands from her face with a giddy smile.

Kilian’s body shook with his need. He had to control himself or they’d both be in trouble. He grit his teeth as her fingers gripped his hips and she pulled away from him. His body was lethargic. Slow to react. He didn’t have time to reach out and catch her before Erionda ended up on the ground. He was about to curse when his gaze caught sight of her smile. It stopped him in his tracks and sent a scorching need through his body. He couldn’t help but smile back at her
Kilian pushed away form the tree, unable to hold himself back. He joined Erionda on the ground and pulled her to him. He fell back against the tree as he wrapped his arms around her waist, pulling her even closer to him, kissing her lips heatedly as he did so. He broke the kiss long enough to lean forward and remove his shirt. His body was hot from the fire and he needed the freedom from his clothes. At least that’s the excuse he told himself. He leaned his forehead against her’s, his dreads falling to frame his face.
“Rio...Rio..” Kilian mumbled as his fingers trailed up her back and over her shoulders. The lingered at the chain of the necklace that he had bought her so long ago. He traced her collar bone lightly as he searched her face for any hints to tell him to stop. His fingers traveled up into her hair and tangled there, anchoring him to her. He pulled her head in for another deep kiss as he closed his sockets.

Erionda moved with Kilian. Her legs shifting to straddle him with her knees on either side of his hips. Their lips connected letting loose a moan from the hybrid. She had meant to pull away and break the spell, to stop them before they moved too far forward. His fingers against her skin unwove every string of sanity she had left. Every particle she clung to for reason was being shredded. When the kiss was broken Erionda’s eyes searched his face. Did he know where they were going? Did he really want to go there? With her? She watched as his hands moved down to the hem of his shirt. Flushed Erionda’s fingers moved to help him. For a warrior his skin was near flawless.
She shivered as he spoke her name. Unable to resist the call she was sure echoed in his voice. She kissed her way down his neck. Her lips brushing against his collarbone. Her hands feaverish against his already hot skin. Wondering if he felt the same ache she did, and if he did, if she could somehow sooth it. Her breathing was quicker with each passing moment. “Kilian.” She whispered at the trail of blazing heat his fingers left in their wake. Another kiss, another moan as her body relaxed against him. Her hands braced against his bare chest, rubbing the flesh and muscles as they moved their way down towards his stomach.
She could hear a faint crackle of breaking twigs and leaves in the distance. Her mind refused to comprehend what it was. Insisting that it was only the flicker of flames in the distance. Or her Drakein wandering around. Her hands tugged at the edge of his pants briefly before letting go and moving up to meet his hands. Pulling back from the kiss she smiled as she moved Kilians hands down to her hips. Closing her eyes and leaning back in to return the kiss. I love him. Her mind screamed. Letting her lips trail to place a fleeting kiss on his chest.

Erionda’s hands on his skin sent flames shooting through his body. Ones that were not easily extinguished. He groaned at the sound of his name on her lips. It was exquisite the way she said it. The way she sounded so desperate. His muscles rippled under her touch. He kissed her back roughly, unable to hold much of himself back anymore. His body was needy.
His mind instantly flashed back to the dreams he had recently experienced. They were nothing compared to the searing heat of her touch, of the feel of her lips against his. Twigs crunching in the distance only managed to distract him a nano of a second before he was back to kissing her, getting lost in the pleasure that was Erionda. His stomach muscles jerked under her touch.
Kilian’s sockets widened as Erionda tugged at his pants. Would she really want to go that far? Kissing was one thing but that was a whole different subject. He willingly let her lead his hands to her hips. Kilian’s hands wandered down to the hem of her shirt and up under it to run lightly over her stomach and sides. He sucked in a breath at the feeling of her skin against his. His mind was going numb with each kiss she placed on his chest.
In the back of his mind he heard more twigs crunching and this time they were closer in sound. He pulled back away from her mouth and the kiss they’d been sharing. It pained him to do so but he could no longer ignore the sounds. They were to close for comfort. His foggy mind struggled to clear itself. “Rio...Erionda...” He whispered lightly. “Someone’s coming.” He managed to slip his hands out from under her shirt just as his cousin Nekane broke her way out of the thick brush on the other side of the camp.

Erionda’s muscles tensed and relaxed under Kilians fingers. Removing her hands from his hips to remove the first layer of her armor. Letting the blue protection slip from her shoulder before she leaned in again. Her green tunic had risen up with Kilians searching hands. Her bare stomach pressed against his. Another kiss was placed on his chest.
Erionda groaned at the intrusions of his voice. Trying to blink back the foggy haze Kilian was leaving on her mind. She didn’t completely hear his words, wanted to lean forward and kiss him again to silence his voice. His hands disengaging from her sent another groan as she leaned her forehead against Kilians chest. What could possibly be important enough to stop them? The sound of rustling leaves and Erionda’s mental state returned in a flash. Her mismatched eyes darting towards Nekane as she stood there her eyes on them. Erionda groaned inwardly, her body instinctively sizzled with magic. She would be prepared in case it turned out she had come to kill Kilian.

Kilian’s mind and body reeled with wanting when Erionda groaned. He knew, however, that he couldn’t kiss her again or he wouldn’t care much about the intruder coming onto their camp. His gaze searched her face as he held himself back. His lips ached to kiss her but he couldn’t. His head turned at the same time as Erionda’s. Sockets widening, he was surprised to see his cousin standing on the other side of the camp fire.
He should be embarrassed at being caught as they had been but at the moment he was just irritated. Kilian felt the sizzle of magic flow through Erionda as she tensed. His hands moved to run over one of her arms. “Rio, please don’t.” His voice was pleading with her. He slipped his hand into her’s, entangling their fingers together and giving a light squeeze. Kilian looked back over at his cousin and frowned. “What do you want Nekane?” His voice was roughened and hoarse from his previous engagements with Erionda.
Nekane’s gaze was on the ground and an obvious blush was making it’s way up her cheeks. “I...uhm...” Her voice cracked as she turned her back on the duo. “I didn’t mean to interrupt.” The heat of her cheeks burned as she fumbled with the bandages and new facemask in her hands. “I shouldn’t have come...” Her voice trailed off as she clenched the items in her fists.
