It had been a very long night, and Wolframite was starving. While he could teleport close to home, he had been prepared for a long night, and had made himself lunch and hide the paper bag a a bag that kept things either hot or cold depending. He had placed this on one of the abandoned roofs, knowing no one could up there, and those who could wouldn't be wasting time trying to find some sandwiches.

When he felt hungry enough, he retrieved his lunch and found a nice factory roof overlooking the river. There, he parked himself, and pulling out a thermos of juice, two sandwiches in ziplock bags, and some cookies, he started to eat his meal in silence. In the open air, it felt nice just to zone out a bit and watch the river.

That was until he felt a strange energy signature. Not Nega. Not DMC. Strangely enough, not exactly pure senshi either. Something.....he had only felt a few times.

Swallowing his mouthful, he turned to look at where it was coming and waited.

Camelot was not in an area of town that he usually patrolled in, but he was not too fussed about that. It was his plan to start expanding his patrol routes, rotating around more often, to keep his presence out there and to hopefully make more of a difference when it came to keeping people safe, and stopping youma attacks.

He wanted to be able to help more knights and senshi, as well, and he was trying to figure out a way to be more effective in it. For now, though, he was content in what efforts he could make in the now, and kept planning for the future as well.

Feeling the aura of a Negaverse General nearby, Camelot decided to go and take a look. He bounced up a bit higher, to get a better view, and he saw the General eating his dinner on a nearby roof. He paused, knowing that the General would have undoubtedly have felt him by now, then leaped over to the roof once he was sure his arrival would not be seen as aggressive.

Hopefully, anyway.

"Good evening," he said carefully, recognizing the General only from various group fights, but not knowing him by name. He smiled awkwardly. "I'm sorry if I'm interrupting your dinner."

The general was in mid bite when he was addressed, and he lowered his sandwich (no crust) down to regard the knight - as it was now apparent that was what he was. However, his energy signature was far beyond any knights he had yet met, and the outfit was far more elaborate. Was this what knights worked up to? What was their rankings? Where they receive their power?

Looking him over, he was left with plenty of questions, but no hostility. "It's not a problem. You don't have to say you're sorry." A very polite knight, this one. Most of them seemed to be.

"I haven't met a knight like you yet. Your energy signature is stronger." He wasn't about to beat around the bush on that. He gestured to the space beside him. It was easier to talk when the guy was closer. Then he could give his introductions and see if there was a reason the knight was here other than general encounters.

Camelot nodded his head, having a moment of hesitation now that he was talking to a Negaverse soldier for the first time since powering up. He wasn't sure if it was a good idea, really. He did not know if he was supposed to be revealing his new stage to them so soon, but then, he supposed there was nothing that could be done about it. And anyway, he had powered up in front of Zinkenite, which meant that the General King already knew of the emergence of a Templar.

So he supposed there was no point in worrying about it now.

"Yes, I am a Templar. The only one for now, but I am certain there will be more. Ah. Camelot, is my name. Of Earth." He smiled warmly, his expression genuine in its friendly, calm demeanor. He offered his hand, though he didn't want the other to drop his food.

It was a good idea, really, to get some food while on patrol. Even he had done it a few times. Sometimes, there was just no time to have a proper meal. His stomach grumbled thoughtfully. He ignored it, for now.

"Templar?" He turned around on his seat to really take that title with that energy signature and cement it in his mind. "So this is the end result?" He said, more rhetorically than anything else. There were Princesses and Princesses. This was a Templar, which probably was like a General King in his realm. So.............this guy was above even his own power signature.

That was concerning.

"I'm General Wolframite, of Earth." He said, with a smile. As he saw it, the Negaverse and the Knights were both warriors protecting Earth. They belonged here.

At the growl, he reached over and held up a sandwich bag where a turkey sandwich, no crusts, was visible. "Want it?" He asked, letting the bag swing back and forth as he waited for the offer to be taken.

Camelot nodded his head at the introduction. He knew that the Negas were protective of the planet, and were, some of them at least, fighting for their right to it. It made Camelot feel more connected to them, as well, in that they were fighting for the same planet, though they were going about it in different ways.

"Oh, I'd hate to take your food..." he said sheepishly, though as his stomach grumbled again he looked at the sandwich again and couldn't help but smile. "But if you're offering and you don't want it..."

He would definitely take it. He hadn't gotten to have dinner today yet, and his lunch had been interrupted by troubles at work. Nothing too serious, but it had taken his break hour to sort out, and he hadn't had a chance after that to take another one. So he was stuck without food for a longer period of time than he really liked.

"How is your night going, General Wolframite?"

He had no idea that this was the same General that had nearly killed his son in a fight, or, indeed, that the fight had even happened. He knew Nathan came home beaten up a lot, and now he knew why, but he doubted he would ever hear the details of each fight, because Nathan was just not the kind of person to share that kind of stuff. Still, Nathan was the reason Camelot had powered up in the first place, so his protective instincts probably would have colored the conversation a bit differently if he had known.

"I wouldn't offer if I didn't want you to have it." He pointed out, and leaned in for Camelot to take the sandwich, if he wanted it now or not. His stomach seemed to say he was all for having something to eat.

Once Camelot took his sandwich, Wolframite went back to addressing his own sandwich, and took a bit as the other man started off with easy conversation. It was odd that, despite meeting most knights for the first time, they eased into easy conversation without too much trouble. It was nice to actually talk to someone at night and not have to tear them into vicious little bits. Well, sometimes. Other times it was fun - but it also became exhausting to chase senshi down and get them to hold still for 5 seconds.

"Slow enough. No senshi aside from distant pings. I've been patrolling the riverside factories for the usual drug dealer using this place as a disclosed location without patrolling security. No wraiths either." Though he was AOK with hunting those down. "You?"

"Thank you," Camelot chuckled jovially, taking the sandwich and nodding his head in appreciation. He had not been as close to death as his grumbling stomach wanted everyone to believe, but he was certainly thankful for the food and he was glad to have met a Negaverse soldier who was not immediately keen on causing problems.

That was always a relief, though he had to wonder if it was actually a problem, considering how often they used their words to recruit just as they did by force or violence.

"I've been looking for others in trouble. Senshi or Knights, but mostly I've just found youma." He had a bad habit of attracting Youma to him, even when he was a civilian. It was what had brought him into this fight, really, because he had been attacked by a youma and a senshi had saved him. He never forgot that moment, and it had really pushed his life in this direction. Not that he could have ever predicted where he would end up, after that.

"I prefer quiet nights, I suppose. Makes me feel like the war isn't as bad as it sometimes seems. I'd rather find peace through peaceful means, over trying to 'beat the sense' into someone. I suppose I never understood that tactic." His son, however, was very much a fan of that idea. Or just beating someone up for the sake of it.

He considered what the other was saying, a sort of repeat idea that many senshi and knights had, and while it was a cute idea, it was not one Wolframite saw as happening. "It's a nice idea, but it's not going to happen until something drastic happens. I only see talks opening up when one side if pressed into a corner with no means to escape, and if that is the Negaverse side, we'll die before we talk - but that won't happen." The Negaverse would not fall to the senshi - ever. He would kill himself a million times over before he let that happen.

Reaching over for his drink, he took a sip before looking out. "Too many people have died for people to just talk. I've seen officers butchered in front of me to get information and to prove a point. The only talking I want to see a senshi doing is surrendering." He took another bite, and waited till he was finished with it before continuing.

"You shouldn't exhaust so much of your time with youma. They only collect energy, and they are only following orders. For each one you kill, another takes their place. They are living, breathing, thinking creatures as much as you and I are, and I'm not talking about how dogs and cats live and breathe. They are much more intelligent than that." Some of them, after all, weren't feral and were rather smart. They had been human after all, and he considered them comrades.

"They are my friends." He took another bite of his sandwich, thinking back to Argawain and how his personal youma was not responding to him anymore.

"I agree with you," he said, shrugging his shoulders, "but I don't believe brainless murder is the answer." He did not think this Negaverse soldier saw the whole picture, and that was common in the higher levels, when Chaos corruption ran deeper. He just had to be patient, and take what small steps he could.

"I've seen knights and senshi murdered in just the same ways. Playing innocent and pretending either side is free of the blood on their hands won't help matters, either. Stubbornness seems to be a very prominent fuel in this war, as blind hatred and stalwart loyalty are."

"Youma are willing to hurt with no control, and I have seen them attack the Negaverse just as often as they do the White Moon. There is very little control there, regardless of what orders they're being issued. They hurt and kill people, and were once humans themselves. Twisted monsters born of Chaos poisoning, so the story goes, and I, for one, can't stomach the cruelty of that. Destroying something until it becomes a monstrous slave, just to further a cause. The Negaverse is capable of some good things, and has some good people in its rank, but that is one thing that I cannot justify. They are not pets, or servants. They are ruined souls."

He looked sad for a moment, then shook his head. He had this argument before, and he was not so sure he wanted to have it again.

"I know that we all view things differently, from how we're exposed to it, and for how long. Something that I can't understand seems common place to you, while likewise some of our practices, at least the ones we can control, seem strange to you. It's difficult, I suppose, for such starkly different sides to try and understand each other, especially considering we start off at odds."

Wolframite set his sandwich down as he stood, eyes narrow as he felt a great lie had been said. The effect might have been a little less intimidating considering they were of similar energy levels, though this guy seemed a bit higher (really?), and was much taller, which mean he had to look up to glare.

"We did not corrupt them into becoming youma. The Queen, the senshi , did that. They were the ones who didn't want an uprising from Earth because the king was stupid enough to abandon them and leave his planet for that moon b--b***h." He never did like swearing, but for that Queen, he would do it now.

He took a breath as he never did like yelling at a knight. "I'm surprised you even know about the senshi. How can you hate them when they were once knights like you fighting for the protection of Earth?" Shouldn't he feel something for them. Damn, he wished Argawain was around for him to show him that youma were alright.

"I never thought the knights started at odds with us. You are here to protect the Earth just as we are. If anything, we're comrades." It was why he didn't attack the knights and instead spoke with them.

"Blaming current battles on old wars isn't really something I try and do. We are making the decisions to keep this battle going, and the new youma are coming from somewhere. And I know that, I've seen it. The Negaverse can still take starseeds and corrupt them so far they become youma. Chaos does it."

He had seen Tanzanite, and her threat to him still lingered though she was no longer a presence. He shook his head, keeping his calm and relaxed demeanor, and still feeling much better after having something to eat.

"A lot of soldiers in this war don't know why they fight, or what is fueling their power. On either side, or any of the factions. Perhaps the Dark senshi and the Knights have it a little easier, our battles newer in the scheme of things, but even so. It's hard to believe that everyone is still fighting for ancient ideals, when half the time, they haven't even heard their histories. Yes, I am here to defend the Earth, and it is my home. It happens to be the planet I represent, as well, but even so... continuing the war the way it is, and always has been, will only destroy this planet, in the end. There will be nothing left for either side to 'have'. I just don't see the glory at the end of the road, when there's nothing left to fight, regardless of which side destroys or removes the other. Not as it stands."

"I'm not fighting for things in the past. When I was recruited, I didn't eve know the history. I fought just to protect those I care for, and I got to see the past where the knights who rose up against the Queen were destroyed. I get to see that ruined kingdom every day. Walk in it. See those who still live there. This is both about here and before. Both bigger than us and personal. I didn't see people get torn apart in front of me or get set on fire while starved just to shake hands easily. If there was a easy solution, then we'd already be there."

He sat back down, crossed his harms, and then his legs, upset. "If I could end the war, I would, but there are bigger forces powering the Negaverse." Metallica was ancient, and he feared that power. "I don't hear any information from the senshi. Are there offers to talk? Demands? No. Instead, they worked together to kidnap us and bleed us for information. Do you expect us to forget about that?" He looked up at Camelot, with the unspoken addition of Do you expect me to forget about that? Wolframite did not loose his eye, nearly loose his family, get set on fire, and see Tanzanite turn to a husk just to let the senshi have what they want. Why should they be rewarded for their dark deeds?

"If you are so concerned about peace talks, then are you working to organize it? You talk big with high hopes, but what are you doing about it?"

"That's the kind of attitude I hear a lot of," he said, thoughtfully, "and it's understandable. There's nothing easy in any of this, not the war, not the road to peace. Whatever path we walk, it will not be easy. There will always be odds, things that we don't expect, that we can't prepare for. And of course, there is more in our pasts than we can fully understand or see. Yes, some misguided Senshi did some terrible things, and many of them have turned to Chaos. I don't particularly enjoy the constant threat of carnivals and gatherings being turned into slaughters and energy draining traps, either, and won't readily forgive the Negaverse for all the death they have caused. Neither side, as I said, is free of blood on their hands. But using these desperate measures as justification to keep perpetuating the same heinous actions is just an excuse."

He did not think playing martyr would win the Negaverse any more points with the White Moon than they already had. Those that did those terrible things were not the masse, they were not the standard. They were horrible, misguided individuals who, like those tainted by chaos, let their anger and hatred blind them. Camelot did not particularly like them, either.

But, as he did with the Negaverse, he would forgive those that saw the evil in their actions, and he would help them, if they asked him for it, because he was a servant of the Planet Earth, and all those that simply wanted to live there, and be safe. Happy. Maybe even normal, if that still existed.

"I'm doing what I can, but there is only so much one can do all at once. I've only just come into these new powers, and the ability to really bring my ideas and hopes to fruition. But I'm working on it." And he was making small steps of progress, as well, even in the short period since becoming a Templar. He was learning, about himself and his new duties, about where he now stood.

Wolframite did not want to argue, especially on a first meeting. He tended to like the Knights and wanted to be on speaking terms with them. Though the officers above him did not see them as a priority, at least not at the moment, Wolframite felt good terms with the knights was a asset to this warm - even if Chamelot was against the idea.

"Not new to being a knight, I'm guessing. I haven't seen you around, but your energy signature isn't one I met before. I didn't even knights could get that high up in power since none of you mention a leader to provide you with any power. I'm still not sure how you all come into power. You don't have a dog with a diamond on their head following you around, do you?" He said with a smile, making a guardian cat joke in hopes of lightening the mood.

He was also curious about these powers Camelot was dealing with.

"What ideas do you even have - for peace?" He sorta mumbled. It was treasonous to be thinking of going against Metallica, as he had been in the Hall of Traitors as a threat to keep in line, but hearing couldn't hurt.
