I am pleased to inform you that your application to Itsuka Gakuen has been accepted. Congratulations and welcome. We look forward to having you join us at our fine school. If you have any questions or concerns whatsoever, please feel free to ask them and I will do my best to provide a sure and swift answer. It is my hope that you will enjoy your time here and grow in every area. These years of your life are a great opportunity for you to live up to your full potential, and that is our goal for you. A bus will be sent by your home early the morning of your first day to pick up you and your belongings (along with other students as well). However, should you decided not to rise that early, transportation will be your own responsibility. In case this occurs, a map and directions to the school has been enclosed with this acceptance letter. Waiting for you in your dorm room will be a school uniform and gym uniform. Once you arrive, please review the posted rules, room assignments, and class schedules. Also feel free to sign up for any clubs that may interest you. This is a school like no other and we hope that you will work with us as we continue looking to the future!

Somewhere in the middle of the busy city there is a school unlike any other. Not only is it attended and employed by ordinary humans. But also by any extraordinary race you can imagine. Here, co-existence is the general goal—hence the school’s location in the city. But more than that, it is a place that prepares students for the future. Children of all high school grades will learn how to use and cope with their abilities (if they have any). They will understand the importance of co-existing with the rest of the world, and they will be taught how to be subtle in their differences in order to accomplish this. But Itsuka Gakuen (fondly known as Itsugaku) sees past the present, to the potential of each and every student. Believe that someday…maybe someday, the world will direly need the help of this extraordinary generation. And in that time of desperate need, they should be ready to stand up and hold out a helping hand…and save the world.

Rules
Yes, I know, this is not the more enjoyable part of RPing, but it is mandatory, and it’s all the usual stuff anyway, so, here it goes.
1. No godmodding. Obviously whatever I say goes. But I will follow my own rules
2. Follow Gaia’s rules as well. Duh, no-brainer.
3. No cybering or spamming or bullying, PLEASE.
4. Remain active (at least one post a week unless you provide an excuse ahead of time or I will remove your profile from this RP. Sorry to be like that, but I HATE dying RPs).
5. Try to be semi-literate or literate. Quotations: “ ” for speaking. Italics for thoughts. Brackets or parenthesis: [[ ]] or (( )) for OCC (talking out of character). Write out actions. Try to have good grammar. Try to post a paragraph per post. And at least include yuor character's name and picture with every post.
6. Keep it to PG-13 (once the clothes come off, time skip or take it to PM, go it?).
7. You PM your profile skeleton to me if you want to be a part of this RP, and you may NOT post until I’ve told you you’re accepted!
8. The killing of other characters is not allowed unless you have permission from that person and have informed me of this first.
9. Only 4 people per dorm and no co-ed dorms. Those applying to be teachers will have small private apartments. The headmaster (and if he or she has any family) will live in a separate house.
10. Up to 3 characters, no more than that.
11. If you have any questions for me specifically, please PM them to me and don’t post them in the RP
12. Romance, violence, and drama IS encouraged!!! Let’s keep this interesting and alive for as long as possible!
13. Title your message to me when you send your profile as, “Application to Itsugaku” and put seven stars in a row (*******) in it somewhere to prove that you have through all of the rules (by doing so, you are agreeing to follow them as well).

Personality: laid back, down to earth, mellow, mostly quiet, can be sarcastic, tough-spirited, lost and struggling inside himself, trying to figure out who he is, sometimes acts like he’s all that to cover up his insecurities
Background: Yuki used to live in a small, homely, close-knit village with a big school. He did well in school and made lots of friends. He was talented and a fast learner—although he didn’t quite realize it. He was raised by his grandparents in a cottage—a country boy. But his life was anything but ordinary, because it wasn't an ordinary boy. He was born with a great and powerful gift. The special ability to create or control fire and lightning.
Then, one day, there was an accident. While play fighting near a stream, Yuki’s friend, Alex, carelessly slashed Yuki’s eye with a knife. Yuki let go of his pretend sword and reflexively pushed Alex back and as he fell, he twisted around to catch himself. Yuki’s sharp branch went through him before his hands and knees reached the ground. Yuki ran for help, ignoring his bloody eye, adrenaline causing numbness. But it was too late. Alex died and everyone said it was Yuki’s fault. Some blamed it on his giftedness. His grandparents told him not listen to them, but he could see that same fear in their eyes too.
So, to get away from the rumors and accusing glances and the memories of his good friend’s death, Yuki left his grandparents and his old friends to start a new life in the city. He started middle school at a boarding school and adapted well to city life—even enjoyed it. Getting away helped him get over Alex’s death, but the regret and guilt was still there, deep rooted and haunting. It was during this period of his life that he discovered his knack for music. Finding that he liked it a lot, he decided to pursue it. He won small competitions and an audition with a record company. Before he knew what was happening, he found himself making commercialized CDs and performing flashy concerts. He became more confident somehow, successful and well-known. But he didn’t care about the people or the attention or spotlights or fame—it wasn’t fun and he was no longer a people person. He loved the music. It expressed him and it distracted him from painful memories and regrets.
Yuki graduated middle school and found a boarding high school to live at. He decided to back off a bit from the entertainment scene when his grandparents decided to move to the city to be closer to him. Although five years did a lot to change him, moving on with life and becoming an artist hasn’t helped the memories or the nightmares get any better. Thinking another change of scenery will help, Yuki is now transferring to another school… Maybe this time it’ll make a difference…

This was part of the reason for her going to the academy. The other was out of interest for what type of place it was and if it could really work, balancing supernatural creatures with humans.
