Slumber parties were something that awkward Scott Erlea was seldom invited to and usually when he did go, he was merely acting as a chaperon or bodyguard for his younger siblings at his parents' request. Not many kids thought to invite Scott and in turn, Scott never really invited others to his house. Why have those when he had all of his siblings to keep him company?
But against all odds, he was invited to a sleep over at Isha's place not too long ago, and tonight, it was his turn to return the favor. At first he thought his parents would refuse and lecture him about his school work and responsibilities, and the timing wasn't all that great considering they were heading out for a business trip, leaving Big Boy Scott to watch over the horde of little Erleas, he was fully expecting them to tell him no and to deal with it until the next weekend. And yet, it was the siblings that came to his rescue, as they were the ones that asked first, and as luck would have it, his parent had just as much luck telling them no as he did.
So now, with the rents gone, Scott rushed around the small house, yelling orders to his siblings as they worked their little butts off cleaning the living room and dining room area, acting as the mice did in Cinderella and with little complaints along the way. How lucky was Scott that they were just as excited about Isha visiting as he was?
"Paul, that broom is too big for you! Let Mikey handle the sweeping- you can hold the dust pan! George, don't fill the bucket up so high next time, or you'll spill water everywhere. No I'm not mad, just letting you know! Where are you putting the dishes, John? That's... that's not where they go at all!" Scott fled to the kitchen, knowing that Isha could arrive at any moment but unable to stop himself from correcting John's mistake. They needed those dishes for dinner! He couldn't ask Isha to eat off of paper plates!Cooro Cooro ARE YOU READY FOR HORDE OF ERLEAS?

What was he to do, what was he to do what was he to DO?! After receiving the invite to stay over at Scott's house, Isha immediately began freaking out! What was he to do!? After their last sleep over ending so peculiarly, what was he to expect now? And, if he could recall correctly, the other's house was supposed to be a wee one. Far smaller than his massive monstrosity of a home. As nervous as he was, he wanted to see it, to figure out how so many people could live in a house that was so diminutive.
Still! What was he to bring? What did Scott bring last time? There was the normal toiletries.. Toothbrush, tooth paste, pajamas, maybe some.. Isha just couldn't think of what to bring! There was no doubt in his mind that Scott would have exactly what he needed.. But what about luxuries..? The red haired boy froze in place, taking a deep breath from pacing his room.
Just only what you need.. He thought to himself, gazing about his room, then back to his open dufflebag on his bed. Toiletries.. Check. Extra clothing and Pajamas, check.. Emergency glasses.. Check. A bunch of candy for Scott's siblings... Check. Medicine in case of whatever.. Check. And his Camera. Check. That's all that he needed.. His cellphone was in his pocket, and his wallet was in the other one. This was fine, this was perfect.
Yet still, the car ride there was just full of tension within Isha's own head. Would Scott's siblings even like him? Would there be enough activities for them to do? Would he get sick like the other had at his own get together? Before he even realized it, he was up at the door of the Erlea residence, his hand poised to knock. From out here, he could hear the rummaging around on the other side of the door, multiple feet shuffling around in a nearly frantic manner. What were they preparing for..? Well.. There was no way to find out standing on this side of the door.
With a final, deep breath, relaxing his body, and smiling as naturally as he could, he knocked, calling through the door.
"It's Isha!!"

Despite Scott's frantic flailing about and shouting, things were going a lot better than expected. Everyone was pitching in and not a single one was complaining or drifting away to play a game or watch TV. Even John was behaving, for the most part, but before Scott could give a sigh of relief, the middle child of the crew suddenly dropped the dishes he was helping put up and ran towards the window at break neck speed, forcing the oldest Erlea child to dance around and balance the dishes he was already holding to catch the one he dropped. He was about to scream but his reasoning became clear when he heard John's shouts. "Hey, I think he's here! Woah, he has a nice car..."
One by one the others flocked towards the window to get a look, clamoring on top of one another and giving each other a push to get a better look at the one that was standing right outside the door. Scott didn't blame them for their excitement, even when that meant abandoning him to the last minute details, but he managed to get the dishes in proper order and zoomed towards the door, putting John's recent 30 foot dash to shame thanks to his superior, longer strides. "Alright, spread out, spread out! Gotta make room for him to come inside, right? Get in a line, youngest to oldest, on the double!"
He may have sounded bossy, but everyone there knew he was a pushover. But for the sake of allowing their guest in and appeasing their older brother's wishes, they obeyed without question, scrambling into place, with Mikey at the front, followed by John, then George, and lastly Paul, who wore the biggest, most goofiest grin the little child could muster, and only when they were all in order, Scott gave a nervous chuckle before turning about face and opening the door. He hoped and prayed that his siblings wouldn't tackle his friend and scare him away, though that could have just been his worriwort imagination getting the better of him. The door swung open, and before Scott could say anything, his siblings chimed in all at once, each one introducing each other and shouting over the other to be heard.
"HI! I'M JOHN!" "MY NAME'S GEORGE, THAT'S MIKEY OVER THERE!" "SO YOU'RE THE GUY SCOTT'S BEEN TALKING ABOUT! I'M PAUL!"
Scott gave a sigh, tugging at his mustache nervously as he turned away to hide his embarrassment. "They're not siblings, they're a pack of pugs! What am I gonna do with them..."

It seemed like all of the pitter patter of foot steps suddenly came charging at the door, and four sets of eyes started gazing at him in wonder! Was it all that exciting to see the quiet, red-haired boy standing outside? They really must not have guests over too often. But no matter! Isha was more than happy to entertain the brothers of his beloved friend! Waving at them through the window until he heard Scott shout out at them and they disappeared from view. Suddenly, the door came open, and before he could even manage to say hello, the introductions were forced upon him!
So many different words and expressions and grins and excitement just flooded Isha, but what else could he do but embrace it? Just from the greetings, Isha's spirits were lifted from the low they had been at for the past few days, and he went up to each one with a smile, giving them each a hug.
"Hello John!" Squeeze! "Hello George!" Squeeze! "Hello Mikey!" Squeeze! "And hello Paul!" The youngest one got a slightly longer squeeze! Little ones were always a big weakness for the boy.
"And hello to you too, Scott! I'm so excited to be here!" The oldest Erlea received the longest squeeze, and a beaming grin that he just could not hold back!

Scott was grateful that Isha seemed to be handling the situation well as he didn't appear too overwhelmed by the horde of children that flocked towards him. Perhaps it came with the territory of having other siblings of his own to deal with, or maybe Isha didn't have the same anxieties that Scott had when it came to meeting new people. Either way, it was something to be grateful for, as he watched his friend give each of his siblings a warm welcome.
"Alright, alright! Spread out, before you suffocate my only friend!" Scott shouted, not at all angry and merely raising his voice to be heard. The first to listen were Paul and George, backing away and giving Isha the room he needed so that he could embrace their older brother. Scott had seen him give each of them a hug and yet he was taken completely by surprise by the act, and he failed to hide it, even though he never once tried to break out of the embrace or struggle. "Ah, yes, the manly, best-friends-forever hug... right? See? Nothing wrong with hugging each other!"
Mikey gave a snort, elbowing John playfully in the chest before the two broke into snide laughter. "Gotta get them whenever you can, right? It's not like you get any from the ladies, Scotty!"
Now that made Scott huff, and he cast the two a cold look as he grumbled, "Keep that up and you're getting a bad report when the rents get home."
Paul tugged on Isha's duffle bag, trying to take it for him as he asked his brother's friend a question. "Are you the one that watches B-movies with Scotty? Do you like Godzilla movies?"Cooro Cooro Michael/Mikey= 13, John=11, George= 7, and Paul = 4/5 (I CAN'T REMEMBER, I'LL LOOK IT UP).

Manly, best-friends-forever hug, huh? Even though Isha had though he had gotten over his feelings for his best friend, hearing that couldn't help but dampen his heart, just a little bit. Nothing visible of course! No reason to make his dear Scott uncomfortable, right? After just a few moments he pulled away, laughing behind his hand at the comment about getting a lady hug.
"Well, my dear boys, the way to get a hug from a lady is to be sweet and nice and do things that make them see positive things about you." Then again, there was no reason to believe him, for when it came to hugs, Isha was normally the one who delt them out first. No girl ever seemed to take him seriously; he just seemed like that cute little brother that everyone wanted to take care of. And in all honesty, Isha was perfectly okay with that.
As the little one attempted to haul his bag away, he couldn't help but let him do so, laughing again at his efforts and questions. If only his own siblings were so kind!
"I am! I do like Godzilla movies, though I'm pretty good at watching all sorts of movies. I also think alot of it is watching them with people you enjoy being with, like how it is with Scott and I. But may I ask.. Where are you taking my bag off to? Do you need any help?"

Isha got a mixed reaction from the boys in regards to the girls talk, and though Mikey and John cracked a joke in their brother's expense, they both seemed very much against the idea of finding their own lady friend. Scott shook his head with a weary but well-meaning sigh, allowing the two to have their fun for now even if he felt that they were getting awfully close to mocking him. "We don't need a girl's hug!" Mikey said giving an indignant but not angry huff, as if trying to prove his manliness, even when there was no one there to impress.
John bobbed his head up and down, quick to agree with his older brother though he was more polite about it than him. "Nah, we're not ready for that. Not now, maybe not ever. But Scotty can't even look at a girl without blushing!"
"Come on, you guys promised you'd be really nice today," Scott said with a whine, sending them a pleading look and it only earned him more playful giggles before they eventually settled down. At least Paul seemed to be getting along with Isha, and he moved to help his little brother as Paul continued to try and do the polite thing for their guest. "Taking it to Scotty's room. That's where you'll be staying, Mr. Isha..."
Scott reached down and picked it up, rushing before Isha could grab it. In this house, as small and crowded as it may be, Isha was the guest of honor, and Scott was determined to keep it that way. And guests didn't bring their own things to their sleeping quarters! "We got a lot of movies to watch and games to play, but after 10 pm, everyone that isn't named Scott or Isha is to be in bed! You all have places to be tomorrow, remember?"
They groaned, but none of them really argued, and this gave Scott a chance to lean close to his friend and add with a whisper, "And any of the R-Rated stuff we might have brought can be pulled out then, and only then. Got it?"

All Isha could do was laugh at their comments and their little teasing of their big brother. Too bad that the hint that he was nervous around girls didn't mean he had a chance with him. But it was all good. All was swell.
"Oh, thank you, Paul, but it's alright, I can carry it --- Oh." Well, if that's the case, then they can go ahead and take it. It was nice to see people so happy to have him around, for once.
"I uh.. Okay! I'm up for anything, and If I don't know much about a game, I hope you guys willing to teach me how to play!" The whisper was unexpected, and it immediately caused his cheeks to flare up.
"W-what?! I uh... I just.. Uh.." Wait, wait, what did he mean?! R-rated?! He wasn't technically old enough to watch those! And what in the world was he thinking?! Did he really think that that's what he wanted to watch with him.
"I don't.. I don' think I understand, Did you.. Uh.. Did you have something in mind..?"

"Don't worry about that- George there knows any and everything about games and will be more than happy to teach you," Scott said, throwing the strap to Isha's duffle bag over his shoulders and balancing it out before daring to make the trek to the bedroom. That seemed to be the queue for the other boys to spread out, as George ran to the dining table and the cackling teasers went to the china cabinet to pull out the cards and board games. Paul was the only one that remained next to them, green eyes wide and staring at Isha with an awed expression. "We got Yahtzee, Bingo, Old Maid, chess, checkers though there are pieces missing on both of those... we also got Cards Against Humanity which is Mikey's favorite but we can't play that with George or Paul just yet."
There were also the plethora of board games, as John slammed them down on top of the table to demonstrate this, as Scott moved towards the bedroom, with Paul in toe and motioning for Isha to follow him. At Isha's blush and stutter, Scott feared he had said or done something wrong, but he was quick to realize just how bad that came out. He gave a nervous laugh, before whispering again to explain, "I mean slashers and gory stuff. You know, the stuff that might give Paul here nightmares... that's all."
Did Isha think he meant the naughty videos? He blushed just thinking about it, and he tried to push it to the back of his mind as he spoke in a normal tone again when he noticed Paul was still shadowing them. "But we'll watch those later, if you want. If not, then we can do other things. Less, uh... scary things."
This wasn't necessarily the start he wanted... and he surprised himself with his own awkwardness sometimes.

"Oh... Oh, okay, that 's what you meant.. I'm sorry, my mind is kinda out there today! Just too many different things fluttering about. And I understand! I can't think of any movies like that though.. Anything truly scary I probably can't handle. Movies like Paranormal Activity, or anything with demons, nope I can't handle that!" Isha's eyes when to the little one who was following behind them, and he could not help but turn around, kneeling down to his height.
"Following us around, huh? Are you curious about me, or are you really attached to Scotty here?" His hand came out to ruffle the little one's hair, wondering if the kiddo had any questions for him. Or was he just an adorable little baby duckling. Could he just pick him up and carry him around? Instead of asking, he stood back up, following Scott to the bedroom fully.
"I think During dinner we'll have a sort of Q and A session, so that any questions they are dying to ask can be asked then." As they entered Scott's bedroom, he looked around a bit, curious as to where he would be sleeping.

Scott arched a blonde brow at Isha's statement, and it was no mystery why the two were such friends as he, too, seemed perplexed by the notion of those kind of rated R movies. Not to say that Scott didn't come across those before, remembering the boob shot in movies such as Hellraiser and Candyman and immediately fast forwarding through the scene before his siblings or parents could see it. "Nah, give me the cheezy stuff any day of the week. Where's the fun if it's REALLY scary, anyway?"
Maybe once he wasn't constantly babysitting little ones all the time he'd get into the more adult horror flicks, but for now, the over the top gore without women breasts and unnecessary sex scenes would suffice for the two of them. He opened the door to the bedroom but noticed that Isha had stopped to talk to Paul, and Paul, as brutally honest as ever, bounced up and down as he said, "Both? I can do both, right? Scotty's my hero and Scotty likes you, so I like you too. Is that okay?"
"'Course it is, Paul. You'll know everything you'll ever want to know about Isha here during dinner... why don't you go see if Mikey or John will help with that while I get Isha situated?"
Paul bobbed his head up and down rapidly, like a bobble-wobble head, before darting back towards the kitchen, yelling at his siblings for help. With just the two of them in the bedroom now, Scott gave a sigh of relief, thankful for Isha's patience and his suggestion for the question and answers idea. Scott's room wasn't all that big and there was another bed on the other side, and Scott set Isha's bag down next to it as he explained. "I share the room with Mikey, but he'd going to be staying in the living room tonight. John, George and Paul share the next room over... it's going to be a pain in the butt when I go to college, because Mikey wants this room to himself and the rents won't have any of that! Not looking forward to that war! I'll be in the dorms by then... I hope."
He looked to Isha, hoping that he didn't think of how pathetic his barebones room was compared to his own... it didn't seem like something Isha would think, but Scott was feeling an awful lot of self doubt at the moment. Accursed anxieties!

"Maybe people really like that rush of adrenaline?" Even if that were the case, Isha so wasn't one of those people. If something even remotely scary flashed for a split second on a screen, he wouldn't be able to sleep for a week atleast!
"I see.. Well then, I like you too!" He called after the little one after Scott managed to dismiss him. Gaaah, he just wanted to squeeze the little one and carry him around like a teddy bear! Too cute! Far too cute!
"Rents... I keep thinking you're talking about renters. Not your actual mother and father." Smiling, he did find it a bit peculiar that Scott would call them such things, but maybe that's what it meant to actually know your parents. To be able to speak of them so casually.
Once inside of the room, looked around in wonder and amazement, astonished at how cozy and warm it seemed.
"I love your room! It's.. It's so nice and warm.. I mean, it doesn't actively feel warm, it's more like it feels like home. A place of comfort, a place to feel safe. And I'm sure Paul will miss you dearly when you leave, all of your siblings will. And I know I'll miss you too."

"Well, we don't have to watch those, if you don't want. That's perfectly fine with me, but we're going to say we did so that we can keep the minors out of the room, because they still need their sleep," Scott said, flashing Isha an understanding smile and truly not disappointed, though he did feel a little embarrassed to have put his friend in such a situation. Scott was a horrible person sometimes to not even have considered asking Isha first, and he tried to salvage the situation, even if it did not need it. Maybe Isha was alright with this slight, but Scott certainly wasn't! "I'm sorry... I should have asked first. But don't worry, none of that! I promise!"
He was happy to see that Isha was getting along with his brothers, at least, and that offered him some amount of hope that tonight wouldn't be a repeat of their last disasterous encounter. Not that it was any fault of Isha's... the mere thought of that made his stomach gurgle, and afraid that Isha had heard it, Scott clapped his hands together loudly to get his attention on him. "Yeah, it's short for parents. Rents. Get it? Eh, anyway, this is my room... where I rest my head and do my homework."
Scott wasn't sure what to expect as far as reactions went with Isha, but his approval, while unexpected, was certainly nice to hear. He wasn't sure why he felt the need to blush and shy away, but he fought the instinct, wearing a beaming smile and unable to hide his own excitement as it seemed to be contagious now. "You like it? I don't really have a lot and what I do have is shared, but it's still a nice place. I won't show it, but I'll miss my family too when I go, but that's what weekends are for, right? They'll always be waiting for me and I'm sure Paul will have a million things to tell us when we visit."
Implying that his home was open to his friend in the future, regardless of what might happen. "You plan on going to college, right? Maybe we'll go to the same one and we can be roommates in a dorm, if you think you can put up with me, anyway. Mikey never tells me if I snore or not, so you'll have to be the judge of that."

Listening to Scott as he moved around, Isha began to unpack his bag, setting his sleeping t-shirt and shorts off to the side. It was going to be so warm and cozy in here, in a bed so much smaller than his own back home. It was something he was going to have to get used to, and the sooner the better.
"Uh.. I think I'd like to. What for, I have no idea, but I have a few years to plan for that, though. Still only Sixteen, you know. I wouldn't mind at all being your roommate, but you'd have to wait a few years for me." Actually, no, Isha personally thought that was a terrible idea, if only because of the aching his heart would have to go through, knowing that he was so very very close, yet there was nothing he could do. Nope, a terrible, terrible idea.
"When you slept in my room, I could not recall any snoring.. But you were a bit sick that time, so maybe that was the reason. Maybe you do snore. We'll find out tonight, huh?"

"I could wait for awhile, so no rush." Scott said, a stupid grin on his face and much more at ease when there were no little children crowding around his feet. He loved his siblings, but they always made him so nervous and uptight. He couldn't show much weakness around them... after all, he was the big brother, the shining example, and that sometimes added so much stress to his life. The only thing that kept his white hairs from showing was the fact that he was blessed to be born a blonde and they hid well within his golden locks at times, but he knew they were there. "Trust me, I'm nervous as hell about college and I'm still waiting to see if I've been accepted at DCU, so... maybe I shouldn't plan ahead like that. Get my hopes up, you know..."
Then there was the fear that he and Isha's friendship wouldn't last, but he forced the thought away. Of course they'd be friends! Isha wasn't the type to just let a friendship die, and Isha already put up with Scott at his worse, so call it being disgusting optimistic, but Scott had a good feeling about their friendship. He was relieved to know that he didn't snore, though, and he was keen on keeping it that way, even if he had to buffer it out with a loud fan or something.
"We will, assuming we ever fall asleep. Don't know about you, but I'm too excited to sleep, and so are the others, I bet." He could hear things being moved around in the living room, which likely meant that they were getting restless and would swarm the bedrooms any second now. He motioned for Isha to follow him, leaping off of his bed and sticking his landing with perfection as he opened the door for his friend. "We'll get a few rounds in, then we'll eat. We don't have many sugary things in the house, so I think my intestines will survive. I hope they'll survive... I'm still sorry about that, by the way..."
