Not eating a snack in preparation for the visit to his dear friends house was most certainly not at the top of his list of bright ideas. The extra energy would have been most useful as he forced himself to continue paddling his bike towards the large houses nearby. This place, this area was far more fancy than where he lived, and farm safer looking as well! Not that where he lived was that bad of a place; his home and parent's shop was placed awkwardly between the fancy shops and the run down areas in the the city. Ulane couldn't believe that Lily lived in such a neighborhood.

Either way! There was no use in comparing himself with his friend! He never really was the jealous type, and hey, free food was coming soon! How exciting was that! He just hoped that the girl had a fire-extinguisher on hand! After a few more minutes of pedalling, he finally came across the huge home that belonged to her family, not feeling overly surprised, but still amazed. He had remembered that she was from a wealthy family, with the truck she brought him around in before. Who needed this much space anyway?

Placing his bike against the garage door (he certainly hoped it was an okay place to put it!), he put walked up to the door, ringing the door bell that was there.. DANG was he hungry..

Lily stood in her kitchen wearing a frilly white apron over her clothing. She had given the cook the day off, declaring she was going to cook and receiving wary looks before heading home for the night. She intended to make enough of whatever she decided to make to last for dinner too. Her brother wouldn't be back until late, since he had the graveyard shift that the hospital which didn't happen often. She hummed as she looked in the fridge checking to see what they had to cook with. Plenty of vegetables and fruits among other things. She looked up with the doorbell wrang, "Coming she called out, though she was very close to the door at the moment.

Making her way around the island in the kitchen and heading out into the hall passing the dining room, the music room, and a very large living room, which appeared mostly unused. Stepping into the entryway opened the door to greet her friend with the happy smile she was famous for. "Hey, did you get here okay? I know it's a bit far," she said softly opening the door and gesturing for him to come inside. "I wasn't really sure what you would want to eat so I've not started yet and I'm sure you want to see me cook it."

She gave a small giggle and turned to the steps that sat back in front of the door and connected with the hallway. "Would you like a tour before I get started on lunch? Or would you rather me get started right away?"

"Oh, yeah, of course! I made it here just fine! I don't think I'll have to work out for the rest of the week!" With every ounce of faith he had, he hoped that he didn't reek of sweat. That would really, really be embarrassing, especially since the way things were to work out, he would be here for a good amount of time. "Should I take my shoes off or something? I know in my house we take our shoes off before going all the way inside, but that's mainly because my mother hates sweeping, and that saves her time. You should have seen her when those Swiffer things came out. I don't think I've ever seen her happier!"

"I say.. Eat first, then Tour! I'm rather famished, but I do appreciate the decor of your house that I can see from here. I hope that doesn't make me a greedy-sounding guest! I'd like to help too, but I don't think I should touch anything, I feel like it would get dirty instantly! Well.. That and I wouldn't want to burn the place down. I can pour juice. That sounds good an helpful!" Ulane craned his neck in all directions, trying to soak in every bit of the house he could see from here. "But you know, it kinda figures such a pretty angel as yourself lives in a house like this! It suits you."

Lily smiled glad he had made it to her house fine, but shook he head at the question about removing his shoes. They didn't often do that, "it's okay. That's what the maid comes for, as long as you aren't tracking mud, she won't have a fit." She giggled a bit more at the comment about his mother and a swiffer, they did indeed have one, very good for cleaning, as the maid did only come once a week, twice if they needed her. "The swiffer is very nice invention if I do say so myself. Very handy."

She nodded when he said eat first, but didn't mind at all. Her house certainly wasn't going anywhere and it could wait, but stomach were impatient things, very impatient. "Alright lunch first then," she said leading the way down the hall, past the living room, dining room and into the large open kitchen. She went straight to the island in the middle, her face flaming, at the compliment from Ulane though it was nice to hear. It wasn't very often she was complimented and so much. "Are you in the mood for anything in particular?"

"Good! I'm glad I didn't walk here then! I left the muddy thing outside, if that's alright." The entire time he tagged behind Lily, his eyes wandered around, trying to take in every wee bit of the scenery as he could. The place was like a palace! And from what he could see, there was even more going on outside. He could go on and on and on about the beauty of this place, but is attention quickly returned to Lily. There was a wee bit of difficulty trying not to stair at her lower back, not because he was trying to get a gaze of her derriere, no! But because the image of her wings from the other night was burned into his retinas. Those his eyes kept drifting there, he quickly returned them to Lily's curly lock.

"Hrm... I'm thinking.. I dunno. What do you like to cook best and make alot of at the same time?"

"Walk," Lily exclaimed, "oh my goodness no. I would have insisted on picking you up." As it was she would have anyway, but she needed a nap desperately after her morning class. The one class that just had to be in the morning, for a girl had been forcibly turned night owl was torture, but she was a determined little thing and her education was important. "It's fine you left it outside. It's not going to go anywhere. The neighbors tend to keep to themselves mostly."

She scrunched her nose up slightly thinking on what she liked to make most and could make the most off. Truthfully, chicken salad wraps were specialty because she loved them, but that only required her to cook the chicken and she wondered if he would want more. "Well I'm really good at making chicken salad wraps. They taste really great, or at least I think so and we can have them with smoothies. Plus once the chicken is cooked you can help because there nothing you can set on fire after the chicken is done."

She grinned and gave him a questioning glance, "so how about it? Chicken salad wraps and smoothies sound good to you?"

"It's not a full dinner, but it delicious!""

"Don't worry about it! I think more exercise is a good thing with me! You know, as big as a nosy butt as I am. I'm going to have to get stronger to keep up what I'm doing now." If one day, someone could knock some sense in to him and tell him to STOP actively putting himself in danger for people he didn't even know, he might get out of having to exercise all the time. "I'm not too worried about someone taking my bike. It's more of.. I hope my ugly ol' bike doesn't bother your family with how ugly it is."

Apparently, his stomach could agree much faster than his mouth could, letting out a large gargling of a growl! His own cheeks flushed a bit more red than before, and he allowed himself a small, nervous laugh. "That sounds fantastic!"

Kaori_luv
Lily gave him a look that said she clearly didn't approve. "I don't want you to get hurt Ulane." She put a hand on his shoulder frowning slightly, "this, the night life is dangerous." She turned and pulled some chicken out of the fridge before putting it on the island and moving to grab a knife, seasonings and a frying pan. "As for you bike, how do you know my house won't pretty it up. It's got to work the other way right."

She smiled and laughed at his growling stomach although her thoughts were still partially on his early statement. She was really worried about her friend as he hadn't heeded her warning and now it seemed he would be in the thick of this war and that was the last thing she wanted.

"I completely understand that, but I'm not about to just live my life in fear, you know? It's ridiculous for someone to do so. Nightlife has always been dangerous, Lily. Humans are a scary, independent entity, after all. Wars have been fought for countless ages, and who knows, maybe they were magical as well, just never documented. I'm not about to let that threat deter me from doing what I need to do. Granted, I might alter my decision by staying somewhere a wee bit safer, But there's no way I'm just going to hide out." Instead of following her around the kitchen like a puppy, which at times was entertaining to do, he opted to go opposite of her, sitting down on the other side of the island. The lovely girl certainly did look worried about him, but he just wasn't one to hide. What reason did he have to? Because he was human? Because he was technically weaker than those who fought about the world? No, he wouldn't have that.

"If my bike can be made prettier the longer it stays around your home, maybe I should come visit a bit more often. Then again.. I really wouldn't want to bother you too often, that would get annoying real fast, I bet. For now, it is not time to worry about such things! Lunch is calling my name! IF there's anything that I can do to help that does not require me messing with electronics, let me know!"

Lily frowned, but nodded, "I can't make you stay away," she said before pausing, "well I can, but that would be time consuming and effectively pointless." She sighed grabbing lettuce, tomato, and shredded cheese, before sitting them on the counter. She stopped looking at Ulane for a few moments but not really saying anything. She opened the chicken, heating the pan and applying a little olive oil before slicing the chicken up and starting to season it.

She gave a smile handed him the lettuce, "you can shred these. You don't even need a knife if you would prefer not to use it." She turned back to her chicken looking down, "and I wouldn't mind at all, if you came around more often. I could always escape you, the house is certainly big enough."

Once she finished seasoning the chicken and put it into the pan before turning her dual colored eyes on Ulane once more. "Train with me," she said, "Twice a week. Once in the park at knight while I'm Maia, once here her while I'm just me. We can train in the back yard, or I can clear out a room."

Cooro Cooro
"Lily.. Please do not misunderstand me, I'm not entirely foolish, or reckless.. I just let something like that have control over me. I would never do anything that would purposely make you upset, but if something happens, then let it. Most of the time, things just can't be prevented anyway, not if there's someone actively working against you." Atleast she was smiling at him, right? Even if it was just handing over the lettuce. Ulane wasn't entirely paying attention to the shredding of the thing, since all it really consisted of was pulling the peaces apart. This was one of those times where he wish he had simply kept his mouth shut.

"Wa? Train with you? Train doing what? I can't exactly shoot off power beams or summon a magical sword to use. I can fight, Lily, but what would training do?"

Kaori_luv
Lily went about cooking the chicken, humming lightly, as she did when cooking, or cleaning, or really any repetitive task. "Trust me. I understand," she said with a laugh, "I just would like to keep people from my own fate. I was a very lost person for a really long time. I lost a lot of friends, in my confusion, with my decision and to chaos. One of my friend would currently see me dead before anything else."

She removed the chicken from the stove placing it on a cutting board so that she could properly shred it. She looked at him, "the friend that taught me to cook," she started but didn't say anything else. That's what Alex told her, he'd lost his life in the craziness that was Destiny City. Currently she wasn't sure she was making a lot of sense, but she was trying desperately to get her point across.

She did laugh when he asked about training. Same for everyone though minus the magic for you. Practicing hand to hand combat, fighting against magic, working in pairs, building stamina. Senshi are really strong and so are negaversers, maybe you can best a new comer strenght wise, but how do you think you'll hair if they try to throw magic at you or shot you with an arrow or stab you with a spear."

Cooro Cooro
"Is becoming a powered person all that terrible? I wouldn't say I'd actively seek out trying to become one, but I do like the idea that I could potentially save people, and make the world a wee bit safer for those I love. And everyone else, of course, I'm not that selfish!" With the lettuce shredded, he pushed it to the side, brushing his hands absently on his pants.

"Well.. IF I were shot or stabbed, I'd think that would be the time to run. Or actually get a hidden weapon permit and have my own arms to work with. Even if they are powered, Certainly they couldn't handle a weapon like that, could they?"

Kaori_luv
She put the shredded chicken into a bowl and added 2 tablespoon of sour cream and the same of mayo, before mixing them together and adding a few herbs. She thought on his question for a few more moments. Smiling faces and good moments flashed through her thoughts, victories and moments that tied them all together. She looked at her Ulane, "its being a soldier all that bad, no. Everything has its good moments and it bad. Like finding out you had a past life and have a planet. I can even go to Maia. I will have to take you there some times. It's beautiful, the trees sing."

She started slicing the tomatoes up and frowned slightly. "If you mean a gun, the police have them, but what good has it done them. Not much. I mean I don't think any of us could stand up against a bullet, but Negaversers can teleport and Dark Mirror Senshi, can literally walk through one mirror and come out another."

She pulled out the tortillas, "okay, now all we need to do it put the wraps together and I can put the smoothie ingredients in the blender."

More to come ...
