Kugel -- Another favorite beast of burden, a Kugel has a much greater carrying capacity than a Hastar, though they tend to be much slower. They are omnivores and will eat anything so keep them away from your garden! They are too large once they grow to get inside a house. Which is good cause then they'd eat your clothes.... Don't let them get too cold! Cold slows them down and they catch sickness easier when they're cold.
»»» For Step 1: -15 to catch. They are large and heavy so it is quite dangerous trying to catch them.
»»» For Step 2: +10 to tame. They have very gentle dispositions and are not difficult to tame.
»»» For Step 3: -20 to train. They don't take orders well and tend to ignore them.
this taming attempt happens at the same time as something big
Needed to pass: 80-100 Got: 36 - 5 for drakein - 15 for kugel = no
Thren loved nothing more than to battle dragons, so it was with a spasm of regret and a twinge of mild frustration that he declined Eanah's invitation to do just that. He hadn't had a sudden change of heart on the matter, he wasn't injured or tired, he simply could not stand his bonded's sister.
Instead, the Kiandri ventured into town, attracting quite a number of stares, but not as many as one might have expected. It was almost a if people were forcing their gaze away from the young khehora wandering their streets, as if they thought he might lose control and attack everyone in sight if they so much as glanced his way.
Unwilling to speak when confronted with such hostility, Thren eventually wandered past all of the townspeople and their disapproving stares. He cleared the edge of town before he noticed he was alone, trundling up to a fence that marked the border of a neat little farm. A handful of domesticated creatures milled about the area, but as he approached, they huffed nervously and backed away.
"Whoa there, scaredy kugels!" An older Orderite shuffled over to the fence, giving Thren a wide grin as the animals continued to flee. "Nothing to be afraid of here, right my friend?"
Friend? After the way he'd been treated around here thus far, Thren could hardly believe what he was hearing, but the old man's smile remained as he looked the khehora over.
"What's your name?"
Thren found himself smiling back despite his wariness. The Orderite might have technically been an enemy, but unless he had an army hidden away in his cane, he wasn't a threat. "Thren. I am Thren."
"Well, Thren. I can't say I've ever met anyone quite like you before. What brings you to my corner of the continent?"
"Bored." He hadn't meant to drag the word out in a petulant whine, but from the way the man chuckled, he surely must have.
"Well. Hm. There's not much to do around here except tend the kugels, but since you've scared them away..."
"I can get them back," Thren interrupted, flaring his wings and launching himself over the fence. Without asking if he was welcome on the man's property, the khehora took off toward the scattered animals at a jog.
