The worst part about hunting in Eowyn, other then being alone and kinda bored, was the fact that he was stuck wearing shoes... how he hated them. They were tight, they were uncomfortable, they were restrictive... but they were also required. The sand here was painfully hot and he needed the shoes to keep his feet from being damaged. It didn't mean that he had to like them but at least he would deal with them, at least until he got out of this sand filled hell and made it back to... well, anywhere the didn't require shoes, "I miss Serenia." He muttered to himself as he twirled his dagger around in his hand, "At least I didn't have to wear shoes there." Though there was a lot more about Serenia that he missed then just that but at the moment he was concentrating on the shoes that were choking his feet... or at least that was what he was focusing on until he heard a roar from over head.
Blinking his purple eyes a couple times he slowly lifted his head up, starring up at the big dragon that was circling over head, and a smaller one alongside it. He starred at them for a moment before he lifted his weapon up, pointing it at them, and called out, "Come on, Kiandri! It's so boring down here!" He would much rather tussle with a dragon then continue to focus on his stupid footwear. He watched the dragons continue with their circling, making him sigh a bit. What was going on? Were they just waiting for him to keep over from the heat? Something that had his purple eyes going wide before he did just that, falling over onto his side, laying still, waiting patiently. It didn't take long at all for one of the two dragons to land after Karayan's 'death'. It was likely that they were playing the part of carrion eaters, hoping that they would be able to snatch up a simple meal in the form of the young Dovaa, something that he wasn't about to allow to happen. If anything he was going to trap them through these sneaky means.
"Come on... a little closer." He murmured, his hand tightening on his weapon. The dragon did as he desired too, shuffling closer, tail lashing behind it, and it was just leaning it, mouth opening up, about to try to swallow Karayan up... when the boy lunged forward, hand thrusting into the dragon's mouth, his weapon stabbing deep into the back of it's throat. The dragon gave a gurgling sound, jerking back, it's teeth dragging aross his arm a bit, before it set to shaking its head from side to side, sending blood flying in all directions, gagging as it did so. He starred up at it, eyes wide, as it flailed about... then he lunged forward again, tossing his dagger from his wounded arm to his good arm, stabbing the creature a couple more times with the bone dagger, trying to finish it off. He didn't want to make it suffer after all. A few stabs and a lot of bleeding later on both their parts the creature was collapsing before him, crumbling away, leaving behind a bit of a mess and an orb, "Huh... well that worked, sorta." He said, scooping up the orb, tossing it into his pack before fishing out some medical supplies.
Soon enough his arm was wrapped up tightly, the bleeding having stopped since the wounds weren't too terribly bad, and he was looking around, "Mmm... well, one more battle and I think it will be time to head back to where Grannie is." He decided, feeling that two orbs should be good enough proof for the woman but three might be better. He wanted to make her happy after all.
