Oh hey, hi. So, it's been decided that Rob, Soi, Caroline, AND Thorne need to all meet. And be extremely awkward and confused together. Because who doesn't love giant buckets of drama? emotion_dowant

So, as I said in the main thread, I (personally) have thus far been keeping Rob and Thorne on different planes of existence.
Given the way things played out, it just made sense to do so, and since I (wrongly) doubted they would ever meet, I didn't worry about all that.
Weeeeell, now we're here, so now...some back plotting (just to figure out where the hell we are).
The meta is going to be the hardest; Caroline attended it with Thorne and Rob/Soi in separate roleplays.
The only thing I can think to do would be (since Cap and I completed our meta rp) to say that Rob left after the awkwardness of Soibhan and Caroline meeting, and Caroline met up with Thorne for the rest of the ball.
Which would require ignoring a lot of small details...
Dunno if it works; that's just...the only thing I can come up with haha.
Any one else have any ideas?
Roughly, that's about all the back plotting I need.
It can still easily be said that Caroline met Rob and Thorne around the same time, and that everything Cap and I have rped out can remain, and everything Moon and Ash have rped can remain.

I was gonna suggest something similar! Soi has this talent for botching social encounters? So I could totally see her causing so much awkward tension that someone just up and leaves XD gg Soi. You're a real gal.

It made sense enough to me!
Just wasn't sure how down Moon would be with it; but suggested anyway.
I love Soi xD Cracks me up.
I want to like...vomit plot ideas everywhere, but I'll wait for Cap and Moon to realize this exists first xD

To add even more fun/awkwardness, I've bandied about the idea of Desmond kind of....falling for Soibhan? And Soi being completely oblivious about it. I've got a fair amount of solo rps on my comp at home between the two of them and it's sort of taken that direction. Desmond may not even realize it yet, because he has a hair trigger set of reactions when it comes to Soibhan, most of them following the lines of "what the hell kind of woman did I get stuck with??" "Why is she doing this I don't even omg" and "she would look real pretty in a dress but if I tell her that I will lose teeth"

Also at work, but yes Soi/Des drama!
I imagine Car and Rob haven't seen one another since the meta, so she never got an explanation for that "need to protect her" comment - which really confused, upset, and irked her. She liked him, but assumed he was only with her out of done sense of obligation, and that he much rather preferred Soi's company. So, she distances herself, attached herself to Thorne, and while she never forgot Rob, she tried to, assuming their paths would never again cross. So when they do... I can only imagine how Caroline's going to feel. emotion_dowant
Bird walking a little, I'm still in love with the idea of Car joining the SC; Thorne would then join as well (I believe cap said so). It'd be an awesome chance for more drama and character development. But she needs some motivation... So I was thinking - if you're down, Ash - that maybe Soi says something to Thorne or Car that ultimately convinces Car to join? Mainly out of spite, but also to prove she's not some helpless, worthless girl - an issue she struggles with a lot.

yeah if Caroline joined Thorne would be right behind her, especially if someone plants the idea in his head that perhaps fighting against spirits with the aid of other spirits is not the direction they should be looking in? once it's in his head he's not going to be likely to let it go.
Also expect Thorne's grumpier side for a bit until he warms up to other people, I feel like everyone mentioned in here is like a porcupine when it comes to meeting new people xD

also Ash I'm 100% for maybe a short RP with Thorne and Soi where she sort of grills him over Caroline? like kind of testing to see their dynamic so she maybe can figure out where she stands with Rob?
or something like that i don't really know i'm just spitting ideas out hahaha

Oh god, I am so loving every bit of this... Uhm. Yea, everything sounds awesome to me.
I was saying this to Ash the other day, I'm getting the feeling that Rob is currently quite confused as to whether it's attraction to Caroline he's feeling, or some odd sense that he ought to protect her. And he legit has no idea, maybe doesn't even really realize there should be a distinction?
And it's a shame, because while he doesn't necessarily prefer one over the other, he feels more at ease around Soi just because he's always hyper aware that Car is way out of his league while he and Soi are cut from the same cloth.
ANYWAY if Car starts to distance herself because of this meeting, Rob, in his confusion, might have put some misplaced blame on Soi, but he can't really be that angry at her because it's Soi and... it's them.
And then if he meets Thorne...
Yea, Rob is just full of angst right now.
