T a l e n t s:: I can speak several languages, even read and write in them. I have also been told that I am a very good story-teller... I don't know how true this is, but I do enjoy telling stories. I am a decent singer, as well as a dancer, and can play several different kinds of instruments. I also cook fairly well, though please don't ask me to prepare anything with meat in it... I can't stand the smell of blood for even a second without feeling sick
Q u i r k s:: The sight or smell of blood can greatly weaken me, and in severe cases, it can make me sick and render me pretty much useless... Which is not a position any kirin wants to find themselves in, I'll have you know. That is part of the reason we obtain protectors.
S k i l l s:: I can change between my human and animal forms at will. In times of weakness, I revert back to my animal form, for that is my natural form. The source of my power is the single horn located in the center of my forehead while in animal form; there is a sort of freckle located in that area on my human form. With it, I possess a healing ability that is able to cure almost anything short of death, and can even heal the mind somewhat. I am also an empath, meaning I can feel others' emotions and project them, even control them to a degree; I only use this ability for good, though, and never to cause harm. I also have some telepathic abilities, but only to my creature protectors and to those who are open to it, and I can summon my creature protectors to me in times of danger. Last, but not least, I can grow things in places where it would otherwise be impossible to do so, regardless of season or weather. I'm not considered a guardian of nature for nothing.

P e r s o n a l i t y:: I can be a bit standoffish when I first meet someone, but once I get to know them, I can open up quite a bit. Anyone who can earn my loyalty will earn a friend for life, that's for sure. I try to be polite and courteous to all, unless they do something that truly offends me, which can draw out my sharp tongue. I can remain calm in almost any circumstance; it takes a lot to have me break my cool exterior. I also have a lot more patience than most people do, and I am always willing to offer advice to any who ask it of me... Maybe even to those who don't ask it of me but look to be in need of some advice or help of some sort. I have also been described as somewhat stubborn; I blame it on my kind's predisposition to bow to no one, no matter their rank. It is sort of impossible for us to bow to anyone, in fact, even to save our lives.
H i s t o r y:: Well, first I feel I must explain a little bit about my kind. We are all born from a special tree located in the heart of the elf forest; there are no exceptions. From the time we are "born", we are protected and raised by female creatures known as nyokai, one of which becomes our permanent caretaker and will stay with us our entire life... Provided they don't get killed, of course. Over the years, we attract more creature protectors that we refer to as shinsei, regardless of what species they were originally. The older and more powerful a kirin, the more protectors they attract. We are far from being immortal, after all, even though we can often have very long lives... So, we need the protection.
I am what is known as a kokki, or a black kirin. We are extremely rare, being "born" only once every thousand years or so, and are believed to bring good fortune to those around us, which makes us highly coveted by outsiders. Because of this, I sort of attracted two nyokai, Sanshi and Yokuhi. Sanshi was my first, though, and we share a special bond... Sort of like a mother/son relationship, if I were to describe it in terms that others might understand. I guess Yokuhi is more like a big sister to me than a mother...
Over the years, I have attracted two more shinsei, Kyuuki and Kogou.They are great, but I feel that I am ready for another protector, possibly a companion... Somebody suggested the Hotel to me. Now, usually, our creature protectors come to us... but I thought it wouldn't hurt to check the place out... It is entirely possible that my next creature protector could be there, somewhere. If not, then I might settle on helping someone out.
