Marriage is a luxury item

His parents are wealthy and paying for his college, in which he attends in the fall through the spring and returns home during the summer. Will he break off the marriage and lose the financial support of his family or marry the girl? ((OOC wink )

We aren't meant to be... ☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯ Squinting an eye Lorie collects her phone and answers," hello?" She groaned as the person on the other line cheered. Immediately she knew it was her mother. "Yes mom?" She turned to the other side wiping her eyes. Listening to her speak she sat up hastily. "Arrange marriage?!" Apparently tomorrow she's suppose to meet up with her suitor's parents and himself and discuss details about the arrangement. "Mom are you serious right now? I'm too young to get married." Whining she threw herself back onto the bed. An arrange marriage...with a person I don't even know. Saying her goodbyes she puffed her lips placing her cell back on the night stand. Tossing and turning she couldn't go back to sleep, there's no way. Not with this information swarming her head. "Ugh." Groaning and slapping the mattress she tired herself out. Dreaming about the mysterious "suitor" and what he had to offer. If he was toned and had the chiseled abs she saw in the magazines. Smiling in her sleep she was disturbed by the beam of light shinning on her face."Mmm..." She groaned. Her mother tapped her gently. " Loralie come on get up. We have a busy day today."Her mother pulled her sheets off her and Lorie sighed fighting to get up. Opening her eyes her mom smiled and placed a particular outfit out in front of her leaving her room. Stepping into the bathroom she prepared a shower. At least she should clean herself up since she hasn't bathed in a few days. Raising her arm she took a whiff gagging. Yeah I should probably fix that... She walked in the shower cleaning the 3 day old grime and filth of her. Spritzing the bottle she applied it to hair scrubbing and gripping her toothbrush. Moments later she arose from the shower towel in hand shutting off the nozzle. " Are you ready?!" Her mother shouted. "No mom give me a minute!" She retorted. Drying off her hair she placed the towel around her figure. Rushing into her room she dressed in the attire that was lied out for her. Is this really necessary? She wondered. Her mother picked out a nice yellow sundress and some white flats. She normally doesn't wear a dress, she's the type of girl you would see in jeans and a t-shirt. Dashing back into the bathroom she tied up her hair in a nice updo and applied make-up. Stumbling downstairs her mother looked her up and down giving a soft smile. Ok she's pleased. Her father smiled surprisingly. He doubted her ability to be able to pull of something like this. He was so used to her old attire. " Okay let's go!" Her father cheered getting into the car. Lorie sighed again, her stomach cringed, and her heart throbbed. Reminiscing that dream, swallowing hard when they drove off. Clenching her fist the family and herself walked into the coffee shop. Taking a seat she let out a sigh of relief, they were here yet. " Good news, they just arrived. They'll be in here soon! Her mom grinned patting Lorie's back. Why are you so ecstatic? She thought. She didn't want to be here, get married, or even have this dress on right now. Hearing her mother's greetings she looked up, there he was. ((OOC: Sorry it took so long...and I hope this isn't too much. I didn't want to go overboard sweatdrop .)) ☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯ one big unhappy family...

Marriage is a luxury item
Josiah sat with his parents in the airport, heading to America to meet his bride to be and return to England with her. He wore a nice English styled suit with no tie, similar to his normal style. They rose in silence to board the plane, his mother checking her make up and looking to the man nearly twice her age, "Do I look alright, love?" She asked, tucking away her compact into her purse. "You always look lovely." His father responded as they headed towards the boarding to get on after first class was called. A giggle left his mothers lips, "Come, Josiah, dear!" She called to him without turning around. Josiah nodded and followed the woman onto the plane, passing his ticket to be cut to the man waiting there. He was not all that upset about the marriage, after all he'd continue going to the university he was attending and then start on his career, following his fathers footsteps. However, he was not particularly happy about it, because it meant he was stuck with this woman until he died and couldn't explore his options. The three of them sat on the plane, his mother beside his father and himself in the seat facing them, a pink purse placed beside him. "Oh, Josiah dear, you are going to love this family. You're father went to the same university that her father had attended and they were good friends." She smiled. His mother was a young thing, meeting her husband at 16 and quickly getting pregnant by him. He was already in his mid thirties at the time. She was now about 34 and his parents had married when he was two, staying together and faithful since. "And her mother is a lovely woman as well." A smile formed on perfect red lips as she turned to fix his fathers tie. "I'm sure she will be lovely." "Even if she weren't, you'd be married." His father told him. He wasn't a mean person, but he was fairly serious and committed and made it very clear that if he hasn't gone through with the marriage, he would be cut off for a number of years. Josiah sighed and opened his suit case, pulling out a book and opening it. It would be a long flight. ~ They arrived in America and his mother was instantly ready to explore, despite the long flight. "We need to get our hotel first, Lilith." His father told her and she pouted but agreed. As soon as they had checked in and freshened up, she was begging him to go out and so his father obliged. Josiah requested time to himself, going to his own room. In two days he'd meet his fiancé. ~ Josiah dressed down, wearing a vest with his pressed slacks and shirt and a purple bow tie. He checked himself in the mirror and trimmed his facial hair, applying three quick squirts of his cologne and turning. He left his room and waited in the lobby for his parents, hands in his pockets. "Oh, Josiah you look as dapper as ever." His mother told him, placing a red kiss to his cheek. She quickly removed the mark with a wetnap. "Ready to go?" She asked and he nodded. ~ Upon arriving at the coffee shoppe, Josiah found that the family was waiting inside and this was where they would be meeting them. He made a face, preferring tea to coffee. As they entered, he was lead to the seated family, his father meeting the man with a strong shake. "It's been ages, Phillip." He heard the man tell his father who agreed. Josiah's eyes fell on the girl who looked up at him. He sent her a small smile and allowed his parents to converse and introduce him before making any direct movements. ((OOC; it's all good. I was at the hospital and then classes all day and hadn't gotten any sleep, so I'm sorry mine was delayed. Hope it isn't too long.))

"Jon, let's have the kids get comfortable over there." Her mother eyed the table to the far right. " Alright Sarah. Loralie why don't you and your finance sit over there so we can catch up?" Lorie cringed when her father said "finance" and nodded. She didn't want to embarrass her parents in front of their friends. She took her seat at the secluded table. Watching the man come closer and closer until he was seated. She swallowed hard before speaking. "I'm Lori-," She paused looking him up and down to get a good look at him. Pushing herself she forced a smile. "Loralie, but please call me Lorie." She continued glancing at her parents table. They were laughing and she was far from happy. Her eye looked around the facility. Come on Lorie let's not scare him off. She quickly adjusted herself and stared back at him hoping this wouldn't end up biting her in the a**. ((OOC: Sorry for the delay I took a break in RPing. I should of notified you :/. ))

Marriage is a luxury item Josiah allowed his mother to sit and watched as the girl moved to the table to sit. She didn't look thrilled, but this was business. Marriage for money and support. He went to sit with her, pulling his chair out and sitting in the cushiony chair. "Aye. My name is Josiah. Don't call me Joe. It's Josiah or Siah." He told her with a smile. His British accent was very prominent. Josiah looked to the sign across the way and sighed, "would you like a drink?" He asked her. "Then we will discuss what is happening further." He told her, standing to go to the counter. He didn't care if he had to marry her, after all, it wasn't a big deal. And if they had a problem with it, at least they were doubling their inheritances. Also, the could work out lovers or something, married for the image but have relations outside of it. If she wanted, of course. The two were intended to return to England in two days, by themselves and spend the rest of the time together until their wedding day. ((OOC; that's fine.))

Letting out a cough to clear her throat she nodded in response to his offer watching him walk off. Turning to the side she scribbled through her purse," ah~" Opening her compact she checked her face, she can't ruin it. Sighing she looked at her apparel placing the mirror back in her purse. All of this for him...? Placing a hand behind her back she scratched discreetly," why..." She whined quietly, a itch, it wouldn't go away. She removed her hand and rubbed against the chair hoping to relieve herself. How embarrassing... It subsided... Maybe they could come to an agreement. Something that didn't interfere with their public relationship. Hopefully he would want the same thing. For all she know's they are suppose to converse, stay together, and become husband and wife at the ceremony. Her stomach winced," just relax." She said to herself taking a deep breath. ((OOC smile )

Marriage is a luxury item In long strides, Josiah walked to the counter, looking to the menu and ordering what looked good. "Two peppermint mochas. Medium. Extra caffeine in one." He ordered and paid, watching as the man went to make them. He sighed softly, looking back to Lorie. She looked... Boring. Josiah shook his head. When the coffees were finished he took them and handed her the one with less caffeine. "So." He began, "in two days we are flying to Britain. Our mothers had a house reserved for rent." He told her. "If we don't marry, I lose my inheritance." Josiah said seriously, "and then I can't finish my degree. The agreement is that we are married for three years and must have a child. Then we can divorce. If not, then we are not allowed to divorce until a child is born." He explained. "And I know you aren't so happy about your freedom being taken, but you have all the freedom you want, I promise." Josiah said quickly, not wanting her to interrupt. "We just need to look like a couple and maybe become friends." ((OOC; sorry, family crisis))

We aren't meant to be... ☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯☯ Lorie sat up to attention as he sat down, that caught her off guard. She took a sip of her beverage almost choking on it. I'm going where! Gently placing the cup down she nodded and gave her "mhms" as he spoke, patiently waiting for her turn. When he finished speaking she gave a soft smile." Joe, look..." She said sternly making sure he understood her she emphasized on the word "Joe". " First thing first, I'm not having a child for a while. Get me, a while." Moving her index finger outward she continued." Marriage is fine, I don't mind faking. But you are not touching me with that." Look of disgust roamed her face as her eyes wandered elsewhere." And," she pressed her finger against his lips." At the ceremony, kiss my cheek not my lips. The last thing I want to do is kiss people with bad teeth." She hissed." Lastly, regardless of what you do with your private life I will still do as I please." She wasn't going to have a child, or kiss a man. She was fairly innocent when it came to intimacy with the opposite sex. Lorie was defiantly not going to be forced to lose her innocence to him. ((OOC: That is perfectly fine.))
