The new club was...amazing. It was the only word Jayme had for it. It was bright, and in great repair, there was no air of fear or the look of decay like the Stardust Club had.
No...Carwyn's clubs were amazing! He was more than a little thankful to Zevian for getting him out of there, and he was now slowly getting used to the new environment he found himself in.
Today, found him actually exploring the side of town they were now on, amazed by how nice everything was, not at all derelict like the other side!

Tristan had found himself needing to get away from Dea's house. For a while, at least. He had promised Jayme he would stay there until further notice, but he couldn't stand the place. He felt as if they expected him to fall apart or burst into tears at any time. If they weren't discussing how he caused scenes when they thought he couldn't hear them. He still hadn't forgiven Fluff for that comment.
So he found himself in a cheerful part of town. Maybe he would stop for some icecream! That thought left him when he spotted someone familar. He almost didn't recognize him, with his lack of a body guard. "Uncle Jayme!" The minun cried, raing towards the teddiursa. "Uncle Jayme!" He said again, throwing his arms around the teen's middle. "I missed you!"

Jayme had been lost in thought, musing over the good changes that had come into his life lately when he heard someone calling his name.
His mind returned to reality about the time small arms wrapped around his waist and he looked down smiling warmly, returning the hug as he spoke. "Tristan! I didn't expect to see you here." he looked around but the boy looked alone. "What are you doing here?"

"I couldn't take that place anymore today," Tristan explained, looking up at the teen. "So I came for icecream. Want to come with me? There's a really nice icecream parlor down the street! I think you'll like it!" The minun boy still hadn't released the teenager. "Maybe over icecream, you can tell me how Papa is? Has he contacted you? Does he miss me?" The boy's eyes were wide and hopeful. Had Urban asked about him?
"Let's go get icecream!" He decided serious talk was best done over something sweet. Maybe a soda too! Maybe he could convince Jayme to take him to Urban.

"We can go for icecream, but it's my treat. I have a little money from my new job." he smiled softly and reached down to carefully unwind Tristan's arms from his waist and kept hold of his hand instead.
"I haven't heard from him Tristan, my friend went to his apartment and there's been no one there. I don't know whats going on honestly. I'm guessing something really bad."

Tristan was more than willing to allow Jayme to pay for the icecream. He had very little money himself, and he beamed brightly at the teenager in graditude. That smile slid from his face, and he looked to the ground. Urban had fled their home? That didn't sound right. Papa didn't get scared. He was never scared. He was the bravest man Tristan had ever met. Something must have happened. Something horrible.
"And he hasn't been to work? No ones heard from him? Not Uncle Cam? What about Momma? What happened to Momma?" His hold on the teen's hand tightened. "I don't want to go back. I can help look! I can!"

"No one's answering there. I have no idea what's going on and Cameron has enough troubles of his own...I don't know how to contact him either. But Urban says his memory is so bad right now, he doesn't remember a lot of people, or things. So he probably wouldn't remember me all things considered. Seems he only remembers Urban because of how long they've been friends."
He led the way to the ice cream shop and opened the door. "You can pick whatever you want...but Tristan you'll have to go back. You can't stay with me, I don't have a place for you to stay, and I'm not about to go looking for Urban. The city is dangerous, I know this first hand. It's safer to just wait as hard as that is."

"I don't care about Uncle Cam, I want to know where my papa is!" He cried. His grip on the teen tightened, but not out of anger. Tristan was reaching for the only familar thing in this city."I don't care if Uncle Cam's forgotten me or Timmy or anyone! The only thing that matters is my knowing where my parents are! You won't look and you won't let me look, so who's gonna look? Who's gonna care that no one can find em? Who's going to do something about it if you won't?" The minun boy was almost in tears. "Someone has to find them!"
He sniffled, looking to the ice cream flavors. "Pumpkin," he said. "Now you pick."

"You asked about Cameron seeing him, thats why I mentioned he probably wouldn't tell me anything. That and again I don't know how to contact him."
Jayme sighed at the outburst and pointed to a flavor not paying much attention. "A cone for him, and in a small container for me is fine." words murmured softly.
"I'm not giving up Tristan, my friend is still looking for him okay?" he handed the minun his cone then. "Here, lets sit."

Tristan took his icecream cone. He took a lick: the cold sensation on his tobgue seemed to calm him. "I'm sorry Uncle Jayme. I shouldn't have said that. I know you're worried too." He sniffled. He took the teen's hand and led him to a table. He knew better than to make Jayme feel bad. His father had risked his life regularly to make sure Jayme was safe and happy.
"Do you like your icecream?" He asked. He sighed, glancing around the iceream parlor. "Do you think he'll ever come back, Uncle Jayme?"

"I understand you're upset Tristan and I don't mind. I just know Urban wouldn't want me wandering all over looking for him and his apartment wasn't in a great area of town. I'm sure he'll turn up eventually."
He squeezed the childs hand and took a bite of his ice cream trying to make sense of the flavor. "It's alright. Never had cherry ice cream before. Do you like yours?"
Jayme happened to look up about the time a familiar sight passed the shop window and he saw the recognition on the other teens face causing him to step inside.
"There you are. You didn't leave a note, and you had Ghede worrying." "Oh...I thought I did. I'm sorry Zevian." The Mawile ignored the fact his face was a variety of multicolored bruises as he ordered a vanilla cone and sat down with the pair then.

"Yeah, it reminds me of Momma. She took us out to frozen yogurt, the new place not far from home. I got pumpkin and Tania got blue raspberry, I think. That was a good day. I really miss Momma and Papa, Jayme. Dea asked about adopting me and I told her I was waiting for you. I hope I can keep saying no until papa comes and gets me." The minun boy was still holding onto that hope. He wanted to see his father, to tell him everything would be okay.
He took another taste of his icecream, before spotting Zev. He studied his face for a long moment, before scooting closer to the mawile and wrapping his arms around him. "You're hurt. Who hurt you?"

Jayme gave a little smile at Tristan. At least the boy had a good, loving family that wanted him in the end, and that was good! He wouldn't end up like he had!
"Well just keep staying there. Take it from me, living out there alone is scary." very scary.
Zev for his part, blinked at the hug and gave an awkward one back before semi pushing Tristan away. "A jerk, but don't worry it was for a good cause and he's been dealt with as well."

Tristan fretted still, studying Zev's bruises. "I don't like you getting hurt," he muttered. "Do you think Momma and Papa are dealing with jerks too, and that's why no one can find them? Maybe if I ask Uncle Cam... maybe if I tell him who I am, and ask him if he knows where my papa is... Maybe he'll remember me. Maybe he'll know!" The minun boy licked around the ice cream to keep it from melting on all sides.
"You haven't seen Papa, have you, Zev? Jayme won't let me go look for him."

"Trust me kid, I don't like me getting hurt either." Zev muttered around his cone as he ate. Ghede had been pretty pissed too, more so at Reese than him but still!
He blinked at the optimism from the minun and while Jayme's mouth was full of his ice cream began to shoot the kids hopes full of holes.
"My understanding is he can't even remember the guy he was supposed to marry so good luck getting him to remember you. No, I've not seen Urban since the day hit me and pushed me on his way out the door. No clue where he is kid sorry. My boyfriend and I keep looking for him though."
