From one place in the universe to another, the darkness that ate away at Hypnos' heart might not have disappeared from simply leaving Earth but it lightened the load that was sinking her heart into the abyss considerably. Eyes shut tight, her eyes remained weighted from what troubled her. Fear kept her eyelids shut tightly, fearing that the moment they opened all of the pain she felt would continue to slip through the cracks of her eyelids and exist in this world again. She wanted to be strong, she wanted be able to protect the things she cared about but she hadn't even been able to do that. What she might find when she opened her eyes? It was a world with one less friend in it.
She'd run away but did she plan to live in darkness? She hesitated in the darkness of her own body, listening to the sounds around her. It was void of sounds outside of nature and in the distance she could hear the waves rolling to the shoreline. In and out, the sound soothed her until finally her eyes cracked open to discover the world of light. Visually shaken by the difference she arrived in, Hypnos took a step back away from the light as her arm raised up to shield her eyes.
It was bright.
The world was bright.
Tears peeked out of the corners of her eyes as her body wobbled forward down the hill to the ocean. Her steps were slow and uncertain but eventually she found herself knee deep in the ocean, staring all around her. Unsure of her actions, Hypnos stared at her hands. She had tried so hard but in the end she could not save him with these hands. All they did was pass right through the light. Just like the light all around her, it passed through without being able to grab hold of it. The water was similiar. Her hands cupped the liquid with curiosity and wonder, watching as the water slipped through her hands. Why was this world so bright when Earth seemed so dark? She didn't have the answers. She never had the answers.
The senshi sighed, cupping another handful of water and splashing it onto her face. It felt cool and refreshing but sadly it didn't wash away her sorrows or experiences. She just wanted to forget what happened but here she was on her asteroid, hiding from the world and what had happened on it. It was one friend too many, one too many hopes crushed on top of her normal life. How could she just continue on like nothing happened? How could she forget all the things people did?
What was she fighting for?
Did she make a difference?
Did it even matter if she was there? Perhaps it was best she was not on Earth anymore.
Would anyone even notice she was gone? It felt like all she did was get in the way.
Hypnos didn't know and the questions only made her feel worse.
Why didn't she have answers?
Why didn't she know?
She felt lost and confused.
Sad and alone. She couldn't understand why no one else felt the same way she did.
It might have been a bright world here on Hypnos but this senshi couldn't see her way in it.
With the sun lowering on the horizon, Hypnos eventually withdrew from the ocean's hold. Immediately after, Hypnos began to shiver a bit from the temperature difference. Thankfully the sun was still in the sky but with it falling over the horizon, the temperature fell too. It made her first priority getting warm and dry, followed closely by finding a place to sleep. She could do both of them at once! It would be an adjustment but living here would definitely be better than what she was dealing with on Earth.
It had to be.

She had cried her heart out to her asteroid, seeking guidance from it for her troubles. Eventually her soul settled down, if only because her body had run empty and the situation shifted. She might have liked to remain in the warm and somewhat loving embrace of the ocean here on Hypnos but with the sun setting and her affairs no longer in order, Hypnos was left with little options.
This might have been her asteroid but she wasn't super familiar with the geography of the place. With her suitcase and makeshift bag in hand, Hypnos had spent the last thirty minutes looking around. She had managed to climb up the mountain, following the path she was familar with but her knowledge was otherwise lacking. She hoped there was some place up here that would provide her with shelter but the only thing she found was what she didn't want to.
Legs tired from the night's activities, Hypnos had no choice but to sit down and take a break. How late was it really? The sun might have been just setting here in reality it had already been dark for awhile on Earth. What was it? 10? 11? 12? 1? 2? 3? Was it already time for school? Hypnos didn't know and she feared looking at her phone to find out. It was best if she didn't look at it, best if she didn't look at what connected her to things she was running away from. However, what she feared was staring her right in the face. Sort of.
The tower she'd seen before from these very cliffs haunted her, watched her, called out to her. She wanted to avoid it because of the vision she'd had last time she time she was here with Sailor Columba but at the same time she couldn't take her eyes off it. There was something about it, something that seemed on the tip of her memory. She didn't understand it and she didn't understand what the vision she'd had of a previous life but it made her uncomfortable. Someone had definitely killed someone else in that vision and she couldn't forget the image she seen even though it was but a blur of motion.
It was their face. Their eyes. They were shocked. It was utter surprise, maybe even a hint of betrayal? Hypnos wasn't sure but neither did she want to think about it. She gathered her things back up and continued walking until she found a place she remembered. How come she had forgotten about this place? She had been here with Peter, and it was off a path down to the beach. It was far from perfect but there was definitely a cave-like area there. The roof of the cave seemed almost man-made but it was part of the mountainside so Hypnos was unsure. However, she was quite sure about one thing and that one thing was her a** hitting the ground.
She was exhausted.
This was as far as she could go.
Crawling into the cave with her things, Hypnos tried to go back as far as she could only to discover that the cave was quite small. It was not big at all, and in the end she had to set up her camp with a choice. It might have been like a closet in the past, long enough for her to lay in length wise but not thick enough for there to be any extra space. With her suitcase above her head, against one of the walls, Hypnos set up her blanket and pillow and crawled in.
She watched the sun set from where she laid and she could only think that it was just the end of another day. There was no tomorrow waiting for her at the end of the darkness and as she closed her eyes to meet it, she could see Bazzite's pleading face. It was monstrous and horrifying for all the wrong reasons. She sighed, rubbing her hands to the corner of her eyes to wipe away the newly forming tears before she curled up into a ball where it wasn't long before the senshi of sleep met her sphere on her asteroid.

Sleep had definitely been on the top of the list of things Hypnos needed and when she opened her eyes again it took her a moment before she realized that something wasn't right here. Things looked different, things felt different and she had no control over her body or actions. She was a watching what felt like her own life through the backside of her eyes, unable to so much as speak a word of thought. All she had was feelings that didn't seem to be entirely hers but in the same thought seemed to meld together with her. She seemed to still be on Hypnos but her location had changed, or did it? It hadn't. She had always been here, she had never been able to escape. It was the curse she lived.
Any sign of the cave she was asleep in what might have been only moments ago disappeared and she seen a world completely different. She was viewing the world of Hypnos 1,000 years ago, or at least what she could see from up top of the tower that haunted her. She couldn't be entirely sure of her whereabouts but inside of her heart that beat with the heart of her previous life she knew that below was a world she'd never reach. It didn't matter how hard she tried, or how hard she worked because she would always be trapped inside of a cage she'd never be able to truly escape.
It didn't matter how she felt because no one felt the same.
She was alone in this world.
Feelings crossed over time and space as both existences of Hypnos overlapped on the asteroid. A blessing or a curse, Hypnos found herself watching through eyes that she could no longer differ from her own. Any thoughts of Earth were lost as the thoughts that existed her in mind became overwhelmed by that of a previous life. The situations were different but the emotions they felt were quite similiar and soon they were the same.
Day in, and day out, Hypnos spent many hours simply staring down to the asteroid's surface as if they were the stars in the sky. She wished upon the specs of geography she seen down there like a twinkle in the sky, praying that she would be saved. It was but a small hope to wish that she could be free to fly through the skies like that birds that visited her home in what could have been pity, mockery or simply fate. However, the birds were her only visitors that seemed to appreciate her existence and as her only real friend Hypnos had come to welcome and look forward to their visits.
She could never predict when they would arrive as birds weren't the type to schedule a visit or stick to a plan but when they did a rare smile could be found on that pale face. It was small when she heard a sound pitter-patter against the floor of the tower's platform but in the reflect of the pool's water it could be seen on her face. She never rushed to see the birds, worried they would fly away as quick as they arrived should she startle them so she took a moment to stare at the person in the pool staring back at her. Pale skin with pointed eyes featured a set of icy blue eyes which were highlighted by an iridescent set of soft scales over the cheekbones of her face. The most notable appearance from behind was her hair which was extremely long and untended to.
It was the next sound that told Hypnos that her visitor was no bird. There was a thump and when Hypnos got up and spun around she seen a man. He had dark skin, dark eyes and dark hair. He was the opposite of anything Hypnos had ever seen and for a moment she couldn't even determine whether or not he was actually humanoid. Was he from Hypnos? Was he here to kill her too? Hypnos' heart dropped in her chest as her hands raised defensively. It countered the more innocent look that the man in the distance had which seemed to be more surprise than anything else.
She couldn't know what he was thinking and automatically she assumed it wouldn't bode well for her. He was new. He was a threat. He had to be disarmed before he could disarm her. It might have been the opposite of what this seemingly starstruck man was thinking but that wasn't a thought she could spare to have. Emotions ran high and she approached him as he approached her. She knew that no one came here for simply sightseeing and she readied her defenses. He wasn't prepared for what hit him and he was knocked out cold.
A look of innocent was all Hypnos had for him. She knew no other look even though she had just committed an act of violence. It was okay. Everything would be okay. She couldn't help but lean over the body that laid across the floor to study the look of this creature. He looked happy. Of course, how happy someone could be after being knocked out was relative, wasn't it? Kneeling down, Hypnos' hand poked and prodded at the man's face. It was then she realized the true difference in skin ccolour. The skin over her hand stood out so much against his and that lead to further investigation. She ran her hands through his hair with amusement. It felt different than her hair. She laid some of her long locks over his face in an attempt to compare the two before it slid over to his shoulder and settled there as her hand ran over his face.
It felt so different! Her face was soft while his was more a little rough to the touch. Upon closer inspection, Hypnos withdrew away from him with the discovery that there was actually a little bit of hair growing there! What sort of beast was he?! She poked him a few more times in the face before she used her hand to lift his lips up to make sure if he suddenly woke up and bit her that it wouldn't be the teeth of fangs suddenly digging into her arm. It was definitely relief when she discovered that while he may be growing fur that he was not about to bite her hand off like a sand dog might.
The man moved and worried he might suddenly get up and overpower her, Hypnos threw her body over him. However, the man didn't move anymore afterward. He remained still for so long that eventually his breathing, a foreign notion so soothing to her, caused Hypnos to fell asleep too. There she dreamed of a world of freedom, a world where she could spread her wings and fly away. It was the most pleasant of dreams and when Hypnos awoke from her slumber she discovered that she was no longer laying over the body of her invader. Back in the cave where the dream before the dream started, Hypnos seemed confused. She couldn't remember her dream in full and with it only one thing seemed to be certain. It might not have meant much to her at the time but that man... that man was definitely Ixion.

Staring at her senshi phone, Hypnos finally accepted the fate that came with knowing what time it was back on Earth. It was quarter to noon in Destiny City, making Hypnos approximately four hours behind Destiny City in terms of the sun's location. Knowing this, she knew that Bazzite had been dead for over half a day now. Did he have friends who would mourn him like she did? She tried not to think about it because she had a reason for this madness. She wanted to talk to Ixion and even if it was still morning it was late enough that he should be awake by now, right? It would be a little odd if he was still asleep even if it was a Sunday, right?
She couldn't wait.
She couldn't barely remember what she'd seen as a dream. Was it a vision? Was it a memory? Was it just a dream? Hypnos didn't know but maybe Ixion would? She could still remember their last meeting though and how neither of them had seen or made contact with the other sense. Was she just suppose to text him like that? There wasn't any other way around it, right? So he kissed her, that didn't mean she couldn't text him anymore, did it? She hoped the response she could back wasn't telling her not to text him anymore or anything like that because just how many friends was she going to lose before the world was done with her?
Eventually she got the courage to write something and as her thumbs typed the words she resisted the urge to delete and rewrite it thirty times. She settled with fifteen. Would this be good? She wanted him to like it. She didn't want him to not like it. Okay, so she deleted what she wore for a sixteenth and final time before she held her breath and pressed the send button.

She waited for a response but when no response came Hypnos found herself moving uneasily in her spot. Was he avoiding her? Was it because of the kiss? Hypnos' face became a soft red as she blushed a little recalling it. What was she going to do? Let her friend just up and abandon her? No, she couldn't give up after she'd lost so many already.
She sent another text but it was short.
She didn't know what to say and it was almost as if she was buying time when she didn't need to as she sent another text.
She knew what she wanted to say. She had wanted to text him for the a very specific reason but finding the words to phrase it in caused the preteen grief. Did she say it as fancy as she could or did she keep it simple? Ixion was a pretty simple senshi from what Hypnos remembered of him so she went with the latter. t wasn't long after that she found the words to say. It did take several more attempts afterward the fact to word in a manner she was satisfied with but eventually she got to the point and sent a final text.

With the fresh memory of her dream and the text out of the way, Hypnos slumped her back against the cave wall as she looked at her phone. She was a little more calm than she was when she ran away, and looking at the text on her phone she knew that she couldn't avoid Bell forever. In fact, her phone proved it. Bell might not have been the most strict of sisters or caregivers but when you wake up in the morning and your little sister is still missing, you typically don't just shrug it off and go about your day's business. She might have tried texting her iPhone first but since she didn't have cellular reception in space there was no way for her to tell. There was more than enough texts on her senshi phone to make up for it though.
They made Hypnos feel bad. However, it didn't change how she felt.
She looked at them before she tried to think about what to tell Bell. She couldn't ignore them. She didn't want to cause her sister any sort of pain that she had experienced thinking Bazzite was dead. What if Bell thought she was dead? She didn't want that. She didn't want to hurt Bell, she just couldn't stay on Earth anymore. She might have been alone and scared on Hypnos but that was just a fraction of the emotions and fear she felt on Earth. She might as well been just as alone there as she often felt quite ostracized by her classmates and other senshi any way.
She would simply clear up any misunderstandings about that her disappearance so Bell didn't worry. Bell wouldn't worry that much anyways...
The text was brief and not as thoroughly thought through as her texts to Ixion had been. She didn't feel the same emotions of embarrassment and a need to please her sister through her text as she had felt with Ixion and her sole purpose for texting her sister was informative. Still... Hypnos wasn't sure what she wanted to say. After three years of living together, there was definitely a strong attachment there. She loved her sister but it didn't change anything.

The word run away burned into her eyes after she sent it, the realization here became apparent. She had really run away. She had left everything behind her and taken shelter on her asteroid. What about school? What about her family? None of these things crossed her mind yet. She was happy for now as she felt the ocean breeze below up over the mountain hills through her hair.
For now.
For now things were okay.

It was after lunch and the hunger was finally setting in. As a child never depraved of anything in her life, she had definitely been accustomed to a standard of living which consisted of three meals at day and snacks. Given this notion, of course Hypnos had remembered to bring food and water but she had forgot something that might have been just as important as the canned foods she threw into a bag and that was a can opener to open them with. It was such an obvious thing to pack but Hypnos' state of mind had exactly been in her favour when she ran home in tears as she decided she could not longer exist on the planet Earth. It wasn't exactly a thought many people had, or could have logically since escaping to another place in space just wasn't viable. Maybe if Hypnos had been one for camping she might have thought of it but now she stood with a can in her hand, pacing back and forth around the mountain plateau.
What was she going to do?
Walking back to her belongings in a panic, Hypnos began to vigorously dig though her belongings. She definitely didn't just bring canned food! She couldn't have! Could she? She didn't know what she was going to do if she didn't have food to eat. Would she have to abandon all hope and go back to Earth? No. There was still hope here and the plastic of the wrapped containing it shined under the high noon sun. She had thrown some baby carrots in her bag! As a perishable, Hypnos was suddenly quite glad she suddenly forgot the can opener even if she would regret it later because now she could eat the carrots now instead of them going to waste.
Hands tightly gripping the bag for dear life, Hypnos had to take a moment to bring herself back together. It was just the first day and she already felt like this! She shook a little, the back of her hand wiping the corner of her eye as she tried to compose herself for an audience that didn't exist here on Hypnos. Why did she fight? She could spend her whole day here crying and no one would be able to think any less of her for it. No one could call her a cry baby and no one could make fun of her. The only opinion here was hers but she still kept up the mannerisms of Earth.
Wasn't this exactly what she trying to escape? She had never imagined she had these things so heavily ingrained into her. She wanted to change. She wanted to be stronger. She wanted to be the person inside of her heart, someone who was able to protect those she cared for. It was a desire she had had for three years now and it had shaped how she was but how much did it really? She thought she was trying but when she looked back it felt like she had barely even scratched the surface.
It was a desire that many other senshi had, wasn't it? They all had different methods though, and some were insane. Were they really protecting others or just themselves? They said they fought in the name of love and justice but their actions spoke more of hatred and revenge. Where was the line between black and white? Did someone really deserve to die because of the colour of their blouse? Hypnos sighed, munching on some of the carrots in a starved rabbit sort of fashion. It didn't take longer before the child had finished the bag and tucked her garbage into her suitcase.
Litter.
She definitely wouldn't litter on her asteroid.
Hypnos wouldn't be like Earth.
It would be completely different.
There would be no war here.
There would be no hate here.
There would be no litter here.
It was just a small care but once you lost sight of those then everything eventually went downhill, right?
Downhill was a good idea though. Brushing off her dress, Hypnos went down the mountainside path and headed toward the banks of sand and the ocean below.

On the bank of the ocean's reach, her asteroid sung out a song through the waves and lulled her into its warm embrace. Her woes back on Earth seemed to be but a far away dream, and a rare smile seemed to find itself back on Hypnos' face. What was a smile? It felt like it had been so long since she actually truly smiled. When was the last time she laughed? When was the last time sang like the asteroid called out to her? She used to sing all the time but over the past few years she had done less and less of it. Carefree songs of childhood had been replaced by the sorrows of the unseen war of Destiny City.
Unable to find the words to a lost song, Hypnos' smile seemed to fade as she stood up. The tides of change were hard to face and with that the chibi senshi of sleep turned her back to the ocean and began to walk away. Would she ever find the voice she needed to move on? Footsteps in the sand shuffled silently as the senshi walked without looking back away from the ocean.
She would find it.
She would grab hold of it.
Somehow.
She didn't know where it was.
She didn't know how she could reach it.
Whether in the ocean or in the sky, would her hopes and dreams reach it? Would they be able to recover from this pain? Her path was covered in sand and she walked into territory unknown of vision and heart. One footstep after another, Hypnos walked and pushed her heart away from the pain in the world. She could close herself away, protect herself from what the world had to offer. Wouldn't it be better to save herself from the sorrows that followed her endlessly? Friends and foes alike fell at her feet and her heart could no longer differ. No matter their position or title, it hurt.
The empathy in her heart did get good and great evil. She couldn't just walk away from it all like the footsteps in the sand and with the stars between her and the nearest person, the emotions still found her. Head down and feet moving forward, her hands squeezed the cape of her fuku as they dug into her chest. Why wouldn't it stop? She had run away and it still hurt? Why couldn't she escape this pain? Why couldn't she find what was missing? She just wanted to grab hold and not let go of it. She feared that in doing so that she would lose it.
Lost in her thoughts and misery, Hypnos bounced back between reality and hope. She didn't know where she was going but she hoped that she would find the answer when she got there. Somewhere. She hoped her feet would lead her there while her mind was otherwise preoccupied with woe. Of course, feet aren't particularly helpful with directions and they have no heart to guide the lost so instead of finding what she needed to find she simply found a field of poppies.
Stopping in her tracks, Hypnos lifted her foot out of the sand to discover one of the poppies under her foot. They were growing everywhere. What seem to begin out of her view in a field over the mountain was now climbing down over the rocky cliff side, over the sand and right into the ocean. They seemed to be content where they were even if they weren't locations that poppies were typically found at on Earth.
It was obvious.
There was no question here.
This was Hypnos, not Earth.
The rules of Earth need not apply, nor should they be compared as such.
It was interesting that the poppies were actually growing out like a path into the ocean though, and Hypnos couldn't help but investigate, walking across the sand toward the ocean again. She followed the line of poppies until she reached the shoreline where they left the sand and began to grow like lillies in the water.
"You're not giving up, huh? Your goals seem so great that you've overcome the adversity of your life and made this your own," she said softly as her hand moved over the flower's petals. An upturned smile, Hypnos envied a flower of all things. It had such a simple life and yet it had seemingly overcome what evolution had otherwise planned for it to make it all the way from the poppy fields, over a clip and sand dunes to make it to the ocean.
Huh.
It might not have been what she sought but it might have been what she needed.

Unlike the first night on Hypnos, the second night had been restless. Any answers she thought she might have found throughout her journey so far had done nothing to calm her mind or aid her. What little sleep she had found had left her with no dreams. Instead of dreams, a world of white was all Hypnos seen. Nothing to do, nothing to remember, Hypnos woke up feeling a mixture of emotions from confused, empty and lonely.
It really drove in the fact that there was no one here when even her dreams were empty. Was this her life? It was what she chose too do and she didn't want to go back to the world where pain was her story. Was loneliness better? Would it go away if she got used to it? She had wanted to be alone. She had refused to go to school so she wouldn't have to be bullied anymore and when her life as Hypnos failed to produce anything better, she ran away from that too. The only different was that nstead of cooping herself up inside of her home as Ainsley McMahon she ran away to the home of Hypnos.
The pain of Ainsley McMahon, and the pain of Hypnos. They were one in the same and yet separate. She wanted to avoid the pain that came with friendships as Hypnos but in the end she missed everyone as Ainsley McMahon.
She was conflicted and she didn't know what to make of things. She thought that leaving Earth would make things better, easier, but instead things seemed to be becoming more difficult. Unable to bring herself to face the world that seemed to be siding with Earth, Hypnos simply crawled back under her blanket and tried to bury herself in it. She would just stay here until things got better, use it as an excuse to conserve her energy like there was someone around for her to have to explain her actions to.
She felt tired.
She watched as the day passed by her from inside her cave. Without the life that made Earth the bustling planet it was, there was nothing to distract Hypnos from her thoughts. Many people put endless amount of effort into blocking out the world and now that Hypnos had successfully taken herself away from it all she had to wonder why. Did she miss the sounds of the birds? It was a simple notion but it brought joy to each morning. Unlike back on Earth, it was perpetually quiet here. There was never a worry about an animal rustling around in the bushes or someone sneaking up on her.
She could do anything and no one would be able judge her, and yet there wasn't anything Hypnos wanted more than to just lay here. She felt so tired that she simply didn't get out of from her cave for the entire length of the day and when night fell and her body exhausted itself of resources and was finally able to sleep again. There was no empty world of white to meet her this time. Instead her eyes met with clear blue skies and the unsettling scream as she free fell endlessly.
It was a long night and it was a long fall but after she woke up scared and screaming she settled down, feeling a strange sort of comfort in the familiar nightmare that ensured she didn't forget her fear of falling.

It had always been sunny while Hypnos had been on her asteroid. She had never expected this to happen. She hadn't thought about it. She hadn't prepared for it. Heavy rain and fierce wind had turned Hypnos' afternoon adventure on the beach into chaos. Within seconds the child was soaking wet and behind her growing waves crashed into the shoreline, attempting with all their might to pull their senshi deep into the bottom of the sea where she could sleep forever.
She fled the reach of the sea with haste, her fear of drowning in the depths where no one could ever find her body nearly overwhelming her as she stumbled over her feet and fell into the sand. She tried to grab onto it as if there was something there to hold her to this world before she scrambled back to her feet, falling back onto the cliff side where the water did not yet reach.
Where was the path? Her mind couldn't think straight. All she could do was look at the previously calm seas in horror as the emotions they presented her went from serene to terror. Was her asteroid upset at her? Was it silly to think that maybe she had brought this on herself and that the asteroid was reflecting her own emotions back at her through its own means of communication? She felt like the asteroid was trying to push her away and even worse she felt like it was working.
She didn't want to drown here.
She didn't want to die here.
She didn't know where the path was!
The ride was rising over the sand and waves were growing closer and she couldn't remember where the path up onto the mountain was. She wanted to escape, she wanted to be somewhere the water couldn't touch her.
It wasn't just the water she had to worry about though. The wind was working with it, trying to blow her into its grasp. She struggled against it, holding onto the edges of the rock face as she pulled herself against the force of it to where she thought the path was.
It was hard.
All the muscles in her arms and legs began to ache after a couple minutes of fighting against it but she couldn't give up. She hadn't left Earth to die here! She had left Earth out of her fear of dying in that city like all her friends had, out of her fear of being left behind and abandoned by those she loved and sworn to protect, and the fear that she would never be good enough. She couldn't protect anyone but she couldn't give up here!
The path wasn't where she thought it was though and the reality of the situation brought forth tears that went unnoticed in the pouring rain. If it was this way then it was in the other direction and that meant she had to go twice as far. She was racing against the storm and while it might have been nice to hope that the wind's direction would aid her, it was as unpredictable as the waves. It changed direction more than her heart beat from panic which simply turned it into a pressure holding her body down.
She went back the way she came as fast as she could, and when she felt the water hit her foot she screamed out to the asteroid. She couldn't afford to stop but neither could she manage to stop screaming. Even if there had been someone on the asteroid, who would hear her? There was no one here. It was her screams against the sound of the wind and she was far from winning that battle. She didn't care. She only needed to win against the racing tides.
It didn't matter if she went east or west! She couldn't find the path! It was still there but Hypnos hadn't been going far enough before the fear caught up to her and she turned around in the other direction. Hopelessness settled onto the senshi as large, fear-filled eyes stared at the oncoming ocean. She turned around and looked up to the cliffs behind her with fear.
She had no choice.
It was one fear or the other. She couldn't swim so she had to take her chances with the cliff. Kicking her slippers off, torn tights revealed her toes as they dug into the edge of the cliff to find a foothold. With one foot in and her hands on the cliff, Hypnos looked back to the ocean with a final hint of hesitation before she turned back to the cliff. She didn't have a fear of heights, she had a fear of falling. If she didn't fall then there would be nothing to fear, right? It worked fine in theory but after she got high enough off the ground that falling would actually hurt her emotions shifted back.
It was too late to turn around though. She looked down and she could see her bunny slippers floating on the tide that was rising as the waves slammed against the wall of the cliff, water splashing up onto her.
She shivered and felt her hands becoming numb from being soaking wet for as long as she had. Without the sun out, the temperature had dropped considerably on the asteroid. It made gripping onto the cliff hard and her fears greater as she took step after step. She took her time, despite how much she wanted to rush to get up the cliff faster, because she didn't want to risk slipping and falling down into the ocean that was deep enough that climbing back up would be nearly impossible.
There was no dramatic slip. It took some time but Hypnos eventually made it to the top of the cliff and pulled herself over, heaving heavily as she hugged her hands to her chest. She moved away from the edge of the cliff and then looked down with fear and accomplishment. She might have made it up but it wasn't too late for the wind to blow her right back over so she crawled on all fours away from it when she found herself unable to even stand without being pushed back by the wind.
She made it to her shelter but everything after that was but a blur to Hypnos and her senses fell to the storm.

It had stormed all day and all night and when Hypnos woke up she found herself in a cold sweat, her body heavy and her breath sharp as she found herself coughing. Uncontrollable, Hypnos was unable to stop coughing even after it started to hurt. Wincing in pain, her hands fell over her chest as if that would protect it from the pain that followed motions. She didn't remember much of what had happened the day before but with everything wet and the sun finally coming out from behind the clouds, Hypnos felt inclined to slowly drag her stuff into the sun so it could dry.
Including herself in the list of things that needed to be dried off, Hypnos' body laid over the warming rock of the mountain plateau like a lizard trying to warm up. She didn't remain there very long though. She was just beginning to feel the warmth of the sun through her fuku when she noticed something in the corner of her eye. Rolling over so she could dry evenly, Hypnos was able to tell what had caught her attention before. It wasn't uncommon for a rainbow to grace the sky after a storm but looking at it made Hypnos feel sick.
Drying eveningly? It didn't matter anymore. She rolled back onto her stomach and laid her head onto her arms. She didn't want to be reminded of what had happened. Why did it keep coming back to that? Why could she not escape it even after travelling through the universe from Earth to her asteroid? Was it not the location that was the problem? It was such a dreadful thought that Hypnos' face pressed even deeper into her arms.
With the heat of the sun warming her considerably, Hypnos dozed off for a little from the pleasant feeling that the warmth provided her with. Enjoyment in moderation was the key though and eventually the sun on her became too hot, causing her to wake up and shift from her position. With it, whether the dust from the rocks or the cold she seemed to have caught, Hypnos found herself sneezing. Comfort once had now lost, Hypnos took the opportunity to flip her things over so they would dry before seeking shelter in the cave.
It was still wet from the storm.
Feeling sick and a little dizzy, Hypnos didn't consider what other options there might be. She stumbled into the cave and rolled her body across the damp rock. It didn't feel as cold to her skin as it was, and although she was out of the sun her face felt hotter than before. She thought it was strange but the cool rock felt so nice that she simply closed her eyes. It was nice and soon enough Hypnos fell asleep there.
She woke up shivering from the rock but her body was sweating from its internal temperature. Her previous sharp breath had process into difficulty breathing, and as she rolled to her sit to sit up she found herself having trouble. Something wasn't right here, and as she took a difficult breath she found herself in a coughing fit.
It burned.
It hurt.
Hypnos couldn't help but cry.
It didn't take a genius to figure out what happened and all the fears she fought the night before came rushing back to her in a new form. She felt... she felt... she tried to stand, her body wobbling back and forth. She felt really bad. She couldn't breath very well, her body burned, her chest hurt from coughing and her body ached from fatigue.
She was worried.
She was scared.
She tried to get to her senshi phone.
Should she text Bell? It wasn't like Bell could help her.
Her choices were lacking here.
Shaking, holding the phone in a similiar manner in which she arrived in, Hypnos began to hold the button on the phone down as she tried to concentrate on what she needed to do. She felt her thumbs growing tired, and her thoughts growing weaker as she coughed more and her temperature raised. She didn't know what to do. She wasn't a doctor! She felt so horrible, she felt so bad, she felt so scared.
She wanted to go home.
She felt like she had no control over her body and as her body collapsed over the ground, Hypnos disappeared from her asteroid.
