In one day so much changed, a titan known as colossus broke down our gate in the city of Nishi, he stood 60 meters tall while the wall was 50 meters. Titans of all sizes came pouring in killing and eating every human their hands could grab. Everyone was evacuating running towards the inner walls, that's when the armored titan came. He smashed through the second gate into the first wall Maria. Over 10,000 people were lost that day.
It's now 8 years later many things have been done to try to save humanity. A new wall is being built off of the East side of wall Maria. Water shortages have caused the need for this. The survey corps goes out as much as they can to kill as many titans as they can so that the workers can build a new wall. The work is done at night, when the titans can't move.
Many of the kids from the city of Nishi and from the villages and towns scattered through the wall Maria, many of them have finished their training to be military to help humanity. They joined at 16 and at the age of 18 could choose where they wanted to go. Whether it was the military police or the survey corps. We will be playing the survey corps people.
My theory and what we are going to go by, is that titans were once humans but an experiment gone wrong (or right depends on how you look at it) started the titan outbreak. After wall Maria was breached the military tried to warn villages, weird things were found. Destroyed villages but with no blood, no sign of death. The horses were still tied up like they just disappeared. The theory is, is that they were turned into titans by the giant monkey titan. No one knows this of course, they just think the people ran before getting eaten.

Little is known about the Titans; giant creatures ranging from 3-15 meters tall, which instinctively attack and devour ordinary humans on sight. However, they apparently do not require meat as sustenance, as they do not prey on other animals, even with the long absence of humans, and apparently gain their energy directly from sunlight. They have hard skin and regenerative abilities, and can only be killed by a deep incision at the base of the neck. This weakness led to the development of the Vertical Maneuvering Equipment, allowing humans to navigate quickly in a three-dimensional space.
Aberrant titans they are out of the ordinary. They can be faster then normal titans, some crawl on the ground freakishly fast. They seem smarter then the normal titans as well. Not to much smarter but they wont follow the crowd.

Your weapons are two blades, the handle also serves to control the line from your 3D maneuver gear. You have a total of 6 blades to fight with. Your 3D gear has two lines that shoot out that let's you fly through the air, you also have air canisters that do run out after a bit. They help propel you around.

Here he stood again staring at the young faces who had just joined the survey corps. Many of them wouldn't last a year, but those who made it past that would become some of the best titan killers. They had less then usaul joining them, or maybe the scare of the titans breaking past the next wall seemed less likely. Whatever it was more trainees had opted to join the military police. "Welcome everyone you are already better then some of your fellow trainees, you have chosen the path of fighting the titans head on. Many of you will die, most under a year. But those who last will be some of the greatest fighters, and the most damaged fighters. I'm the last one alive from my trainee squad, squad 96. Most died being torn apart by titans, others forced to retire after to many injuries some physical some mental. You will never be the same after this. But know this your lifes will not be in vain! Every life lost is more modivation to keep going, keep killing these monsters! One day we will be free from these beasts, we will be able to go where ever we please in the world! Tonight I want you all to get to know each other have a good time, this may be your last time to enjoy your life. In two days is your first trip outside the walls, have fun tonight, get rest tomorrow. Be ready to die the day after."
Will that Alex walked down the small steps of the platform and to a long table sitting down sighing, they were in a long building like a celebration hall. Various tables were scattered around a big table held a small feast. A barrel of beer was sitting near the food table mugs stacked up ready to be filled. Sighing Alex ran a hand through his hair, he missed the easy days when he was just a trainee no real knowledge of the true horror or titans. All he could do now was watch the newest trainees socialize and have a good time.

Saffron looked out at the new trainees taking in their faces as Alex gave his speech. Every year it had become darker and darker. Ever since the break in the wall they had lost so many more in the survey corps, especially in the last couple years. The water shortage was forcing them to take more drastic measures. All to build a new wall, to enclose an enormous lake.
After Alex's speech she smiled to the new recruits. "My name is Saffron Gray I am the black squad captain, I'm open to answering any questions." She gave a small bow as she finished her small bit and left the small stage going over to the beer barrels and getting two mugs full bringing. She set one down infront of Alex as she sat next to him, quietly sipping her own. "We have some good recruits this year. hopefully more then last year make it." Alex could only nod as he took a big swig of his beer, last year most of the recruits died.

Laurel stood off to the side listening to Captain Alex's speech. 'Poor Alex losing so many recruits last year must have hurt. All he did was feed my brothers.' Laurel smiled to herself she was a twisted one, her father made sure of it. Training a young girl from birth to hate humans and that she would help create a new world. Watching Alex and Saffron step down she went straight to the booze and food grabbing herself a nice sized plate and two mugs of beer. She sat at a table alone smiling as she ate. Looking very inviting to anyone who would come by. She was inviting and seemingly nice, she was trained that way. She was the life of the party most nights.

Bisera kept her eyes on the ground during the lead captain's speech. Many responses ran through her head that she didn't wish to voice, such as 'you don't understand this fight' or 'they did what they were born to do'. Yes, they were all born to die. Wasn't it obvious? Humans died so easily. Her mother and father were personal examples. The two, human beings she looked up to, once. Bisera ran her finger across her father's handkerchief, which was currently tied around her arm. Sometimes, she wondered why she kept the shabby, old thing.
After listening to the captain of the Black squad's speech, Bisera yawned softly. She was sleepy from the day, which decided to drag on and on. Bisera made her way over to one of the beer kegs. She wasn't much of a drinker, but tonight she would make an exception. After all, it was going to be a long time until she had this much relaxation. Bisera sat back into her seat at the long table, a mug of beer and an apple in hand, avoiding any gazes from the other soldiers. It didn't matter if the others thought she was a bore. She wasn't here for them. Her focus was on the bright red apple before her, bitten into deep enough to reveal its core. Looking up from her little feast, Bisera glanced over at one of the more lively soldiers: Laurel. Her blue hair wasn't hard to miss among the crowd of recruits and seasoned members.
"How the heck can she be so lively?" Bisera whispered to no one in particular, taking a sip from her beer.
