So, I found again this video recently and I was wondering what you guys thought on the topic. What is your stance on the french revolution?

Nice video. Before I watched that I thought very lowly for Robespierre and the Terror. But after watching that video I have to admit that I see him in a better light.

I was moved when he mentioned that almost all of Europe was at war with him because it reminded me a lot of the situation of the aftermath of the Russian Revolution. And knowing that the Red Terror was based off of the French Great Terror I now have a deeper understanding for why Lenin initiated it.

I completely understand where you're coming from, I also used to have quite a bad opinion on Robespierre before actually starting to learn about him. I really recommend reading some of the things he wrote or biographies about him, they're quite good.
