Personality: Shinji has an introverted and serious personality. He doesn't show much outward emotion; he usually defaults to a resting face. Shinji is cynical and slow to trust others. He fears that attachment to another person will only lead to sadness in the end. While he is patient with other's faults, he can come off as a callous person.
Personal Goals: Explore every faucet of Sealing Techniques so that he might someday be able to reunite with his father, who Shinji believes sealed himself away in some sort of flawed, forbidden sealing jutsu. In the mean time, he also seeks mastery of Fuuinjutsu, and to become world renown for the skill.

History: Shinji followed the path that his shinobi father took by studying the ninja art of Fuuinjutsu. At the age of 9, his father disappeared suddenly and without warning. No one is quite sure what could have happened to him. The official story was that he was kidnapped and assassinated by an undeclared assailant. Shinji feels differently.
In the years after his disappearance, Shinji took to poking around in his father’s old study. There, he found a scroll with an extremely complex sealing jutsu, one of which he couldn’t even begin to understand. The inscriptions appeared to have run, as if the ink had been smudged with water. The boy then had a revelation of sorts: perhaps his father delved into forbidden seals, and by chance got himself stuck inside his own sealing jutsu! The horror of such an idea shook Shinji deeply, but not deep enough to sway him from learning Sealing Jutsu. He holds a hope that someday he may be able to tap into whatever sub-space his father found himself in so that they can be reunited one day.
