Name: Ashlyn Reynolds
Nickname: Ash, Lynn, to be honest, she hates nicknames
Age: 26 27 28
Birthday: January 9th
Sign: Capricorn
Gemstone: Garnet
Blood Type: B
Fav. Food: Anything you can make out of potatoes
Hated Food: Turkey
Job: Art Teacher at Knightside Academy, but also working part time at a fabric store
Hobbies: Clothes: Ashlyn has always thought that clothes were the biggest gift given to the world, and one day she would love to become the next top designer. She makes a good portion of everything that she owns, thanks to getting a hefty discount at the fabric store where she works on the weekends. Going clothes shopping doesn’t ever really bring anything to Ashlyn except ideas for different designs she could make. One of the biggest reasons she loves clothes is because they are a necessity. They are the things that everyone spends almost every waking moment of their lives in. What’s not to love?
Painting: This isn’t a hobby that takes up as much time as her clothing designs do, but Ash likes to think of herself as a pretty creative person when it comes to painting too. It’s a great way to unwind after a stressful day at the school, or a great way to just relax and brainstorm new ideas for her one day fantastic clothing line. Another great reason to paint is it makes for great and cheap gifts during the holidays. Saving money is a great thing to do.
Sight Seeing: Ashlyn would love to travel, she truly would but that requires time and money that she still hasn’t managed to make yet. The best way to remedy this however is to see the sights around the area where she lives. Anyone can go to Paris and see the Eiffel Tower, but how many people can say they’ve really seen all of Destiny City? All of the parks and all of the hidden gems that are there, you just have to dig.
Virtues: Goes with the Flow: Ashlyn’s belief is that you don’t live long enough to give the luxury of anger. There’s just no point in getting upset because one thing or another didn’t go the way you planned, and therefore, you should just be ready for change whenever it happens, and embrace it. It’s all good. Whatever happens, happens. No need to rush for anything, if you’re late, you’re late. If you mess up on your painting, it’s okay. Everything’s’ just okay.
Encouraging: People’s dreams and their goals are the most precious things in the world, and Ashlyn believes that anyone and everyone can get to the point in life that they want to be at if they’re only given a chance, and she loves to give chances. This is one of the reasons that she went into the teaching profession. She loves to give all of the children in her class words of encouragement, and just make sure they know that they’re wonderful. Whatever they create, she praises, even if it does look like a turtle that was run over by an eighteen wheeler and then painted purple, it is beautiful. You are beautiful.
Flaws: Unconcerned: Sometimes Ashlyn’s laid back attitude can go just a bit too far, making people feel the very emotion that she tries so hard to avoid. She doesn’t like to make plans, and when she does it is almost as though they are a suggestion rather than something that was set in stone, so if she breaks them and forgets to tell the person that she made them with, whoops. No problem man, no problem! But it is a problem, and people have told Ashlyn time and time again that she needs to get more structure in her life, and she just brushes it off. She doesn’t see it as being something that is important.
Ready to explode: No matter how hard a person may try to hold in all negative emotions, there will come a time where they all just come out. Ashlyn has moments of meltdown and it has never ended well. She tries to go through life always being as happy as anything, but little things build up constantly and when she reaches her limit you had better watch out. The worst thing about this is, once she’s blown up at you once, it will happen again, it’s only a matter of when. And as she grows older, her tolerance level has dropped so her meltdowns happen much more often than they did when she was a teen and a young adult.
