Call Name: Starlight
Cycles past: Thirteen

It's in the blood: American
Height: 4'11"
Weight: 97 lbs

Physic: Sydney is a young girl on the verge of growing into a woman. The young preteen is just starting to bud but she could still easily pass as a boy if she choice too. All the flexibility of youth still clings to her muscles. Lacking in the strength department, Sydney's small statue allows her to fit into places most of the adults cannot. This has come in handy when she needs to get supplies or hide for whatever reason. The owner of a bright smile and curious eyes, Sydney is still learning a lot about the world, even more so now that she has to grow up in this violently reshaping one.

Can't Change It: Sydney is an energetic young girl. With more enthusiasm packed in her then a classroom full of sugar hyped toddlers, she tackles any task tossed her way with passion and persistence. A sweet child, she's always quick to offer a smile or make funny faces to her friends in hopes of getting them to smile. Very much a giggler, the girl seems to be adapting fairly well to the changing world. Sydney has always had a curious nature to her that often lead her to listening to her mother's patrons at the soup kitchen she ran. This preteen is not scared to talk to complete strangers about anything and everything even if she doesn't entirely understand what's going on. A courageous little thing, she won't hesitate to go into places that might be filled with creepy things, both deadly and not, if it means helping those she's with and cares about. Sydney does prefer to keep her concerns and fears to herself unless someone she trusts talks her into opening up.
History is set in stone: Born and raised in the valley, Sydney is the only girl born to the Palmer clan. With a farm about thirty miles outside of Swift Water, the Palmer's raised their crops and their children. Owners of a small farm they have a small orchard on their property as well several animals. Sydney spent her days roaming the fields around the house or visiting her friends who lived in the house's down the road. When she wasn't helping take care of their cows or helping collect the eggs from the silly hens in the hen house, the adventurous young girl was out riding. Practically every hour she could, Sydney was on horseback or with the horses in the barn. Out exploring the lands between their home and the surrounding farms with or without her brothers. There are few paths between Black Creek and her farm that Sydney has not memorized. For the most part the little brunette lived a simple, happy life in the valley. Only one instant really stands out in her history as being anything else. When Sydney was nine she went on a school camping trip up at the Mount Smokey camp grounds. The day they were supposed to leave she had been playing near the drop off outside of cabin six when the ground gave way. Tumbling down several feet the tiny girl smacked her head hard enough that she found herself disorientated and wandering the opposite way to find help. The students left none the wiser on their missing classmate until that evening. Panic filled the busy family and a search was launched. Recruiting a local guide the oldest Palmer boy's had known for a while, the search was on. Around dawn the next day, the girl was located by the same survival guide to her family's utter relief. Since that day Sydney doesn't handle the dark well often resulting in her going to bed long before any normal child her age. She never went camping again without her brothers or parents there either, not trusting anyone else to make sure she was safe. Though she is rather close to the man who rescued her and bothers him as often as she can.
When the outbreak hit, Sydney thought nothing of it. She went with her mother help set up and feed the volunteers at the makeshift hospital in Swift Water with her brother. It was there that things got crazy. Sydney isn't sure what happened to her mother but she has a continually sinking feeling as to why she hasn't seen the woman again. Hiding out at their house for as long as she could, Sydney eventually came to the conclusion she needed to get out. Packing her back pack and saddle bags, Sydney saddled up her personal horse and the family work horse. Tethering them together, the preteen rode off from the house hoping someday to come back to it. Her first day out on her own, almost a week into the outbreak, she was picked up by a scavenger for a group of survivors hiding out in the hills behind Black Creek. Hopping to maybe find some of her family there she followed and has been with the group since. Though she hasn't heard anything out of family, Sydney keeps hoping at least one of them are alive.

Main Weapon: Crowbar with a tape grip in the middle
Secondary Weapons: 9mm beretta x2 clips
Strengths:
- Crafting things, Sydney gets really creative when making things both food and weaponry
- Finding escapes, she loves to know how to get out when she's gone
- Adapting, sometimes you just gotta think on the fly
- Drawing, Sydney is a pretty good traditional artist
Weaknesses:
- No combat training
- Size, she is small and rather weak compared to a full grown adult
- Unpredictable, Sydney is at a point in her life when everything in her is changing. Sometimes her flight or fight doesn't respond right and she dives into a situation she should run from and visa versa.
Combat style: Sydney very much prefers not to fight if it can be avoided. If pressed she is more likely to attempt shooting which rarely turns out well. Her only real chances against the undead is to find them when they are on the ground or run away from them.

Themes: Roar by Katy Perry
Vehicle: Sydney doesn't have a vehicle per say. Instead she has her horse, as well as one of their work horses, that she uses to get around. The animals are quite sturdy and though her own mount is still rather skiddish with the undead about, the family work horse has continued to be as bomb proof as ever.
Others: Sydney knows her way around this valley very well. While she is not a senior guide, she knows several back paths with abandoned farms, homes and other structures around Black Creek and Swift Water.
