xxxxx The Military Police is the most prestigious of the three branches since their work allows them to live safely within the inner confines of Wall Sina. They have abundant resources, and higher authority over other military sectors. However, the MPs in reality are quite corrupted considering a lack of oversight from the brass compared to other sectors. Because of their occasional misuse of authority, they're highly at odds with both the Garrison and the Survey Corps.
Only the top ten graduates from trainee squads can apply for the Military Police. However, there are other illicit ways to join the MPs, such as fraternization, favoritism, and hefty bribes. But in recent years, the number of trainees wanting to join the MPs has significantly declined.

xxxx ► The King's Guard are, like the title suggests, the personal guard to the King. There are several with him at all times, and it is their duty to ensure that he remains safe -- from threats both inside and outside the Walls. Only NINE people will be given this honor.

xxxx ► The majority of the Military Police spend their time patrolling the interior of Wall Sina, policing the populace.

S U M M A R Y :
xxxxx The Stationary Guard, also known as the WALL GARRISON, is the largest of the Military divisions which protects and maintains order near the Walls. As they often have close contact with both Titans and human civilians, they are proficient over a wide variety of tasks such as Titan combat, cannonading, security detail, crowd control, and the use of firearms. They're charged with guarding and maintaining the wall, and as such, they are the largest of the three branches. Most Cadets choose to join the Wall Garrison because their fatality rate is considerably lower than the Survey Corps, and they lack the corruption of the Military Police.
The Stationary Guard takes care of all defenses for the Wall whether it be patrols, repairs, or improvements. As such, they spend most of their time preparing for attacks against the Wall. The Stationary Guard mans the cannons on the Wall that are often used for long-range Titan defense. They must also deal with civilian evacuation and have emergency plans for dealing with scenarios for when the Wall is breached.

xxxxx The Scouting Legion -- more commonly referred to as the SURVEY CORPS -- suffers a constant personnel shortage and the only soldiers who enter the Scouting Legion are dedicated to the cause of humanity, usually at the cost of their own lives. In stark contrast to the Military Police, there is no laziness or incompetence in the Scouting Legion, and no corruption. Whether at their headquarters or in battle, members of the Scouting Legion have no one to depend on but each other.
The Survey Corps is in charge of the exploration and eventual reclamation of the territory the humans have lost from the Titans. Over the last decade, they've been placing supplies in various locations both inside and outside of the walls, caching stores of food and weapons in case of emergencies. A more recent duty has been the research and observation of Titans, and thanks to the hard work and dedication of the men and women studying Titans, a wealth of new information has been revealed about them.

xxxx ► The Scouts in the Survey Corps generally work in teams of two to three, ranging out ahead of the main party to get a lay of the land and be on alert for any Titans. However, this is an exceptionally dangerous job, and many men and women have been killed by Titans.
xxxxxResearcher Specialists
xxxx ► Researchers spend the majority of their days performing various tests on captured Titans. However, many of them work on creating new weapons to use against the Titans, and even though these men and women rarely see combat, they still have a very dangerous job. Thanks to their relentless studies, new information on Titans is being found, saving the lives of countless men and women in the field.
xxxxxAmbush Specialists
xxxx ► Ambush Specialists excel in the use of new anti-Titan weapons the Researchers have developed. These men and women are generally right in the middle of the fray, stationed at strategic points to either trap or kill Titans. They spend days, if not weeks, creating new tactics and learning the ins and outs of the new weapons they're given. These range from nets to shoulder-cannons, and are absolutely essential when fighting Titans.
