I'm starting up a Tau army. And I'm just playin' with stuff right now.
But I got a Broadside and I wanted to be able to change out the arms. Y'know.. Twin-linked Railgun with the rockets. I was wondering what I could use for this.
I know magnets are the norm, but I was wondering if there was anything else.

Blu-tack is pretty useful if your consern about magnetizing. You don´t need a lot to make the parts to stick together and it can be removed quite easily by rubbing the stucked blu-tack with a ball of Blu-tack. 3nodding Other then that..... it´s Blu-tack or Magnets. sweatdrop

Pinning without gluing might also be an option... Why are you uninterested in magnetizing, if you don't mind me asking?

I'm not really opposed to it.
I just don't know where to get 1/16" rare earth magnets without just popping on ebay. And I don't have a way to buy anything offline right now.
Other than that I would be stoked to do it. Especially since nothing else has worked even remotely.

Alright.. New thought.
If blue-tacks and magnets fail.. What would be the best gear to permanently fix to it?

Frenzy of Death Alright.. New thought. If blue-tacks and magnets fail.. What would be the best gear to permanently fix to it? Personally, I prefer E-6000. It's a silicone-based cement that will glue just about anything to just about anything else. I've glued an entire metal deffkopta together with it. The parts have to be held together until it at least sets though, but it doesn't bond instantly to skin.

The blue tack worked. You guys are the shiiiit.
Soo... That being said.. I still haven't settled on a color scheme. Suggestions, veteran painters?

I once thought about doing Tau with black plates, dark red cloth/undermesh, and glowing orange lines between the plates. Kinda evil-looking, but badass at the same time. pirate

Yeah, I'm still working on the color scheme. So I haven't started the fine details, but right now it's a white base with red plates and this sweet green accent and a little brass thrown in there.
