History Born in District 1, Gem lived happily with his parents, Jewell and Gem - a pair of Goldsmiths. When I was 18 I was reaped. I was never so proud of myself. As the games began, I was part of the career pack. We spent our days killing the other tributes, one by one. Until 8 remained. We Careers, a boy from 7 and a girl from 8. It was then I killed my fellow District 1 tribute. This started a battle between the careers. I killed the boy from 2. The girl from 4 killed the girl from 2. I killed the boy from 4. The girl ran then. The next day I found the boy from 7. He died after a fierce battle, he admittedly was a tough one to beat. The next day the cannon blew, announcing the death of the girl from 8. I began to hunt down the girl from 4. I killed her, but she stabbed me. Bleeding, I was retrieved from the arena, healed and brought on as the most recent Victor!
