Ophelia woke from her light sleep. The sun had yet to rise, but it was now time for her to prepare the clinic for the day. She crawled out of bed stretching her limbs high above her head listening to the pops and cracks of her joints. Rubbing her eyes and stood sleepily lighting her lantern and walked to the restroom where she freshened up and undressed from her nightdress. She washed her face and braided the front of her hair, pinning back more lose strands. She looked into the mirror examining her slim frame before pulling on her undergarments and dressed in a fitted tunic, and her teal dress pulled over it. She tied an apron around her waist and pulled on her shoes.
Carrying her lantern outside her bedroom she glanced across the hallway where Parker's room was. Originally it belonged to her late grandmother Willow Everstone, but since she passed away four years ago, the room had been empty. She gave to room to her dear friend Parker a while back and since then, the two were always together. Ophelia smiled affectionately to the wooden door before walking downstairs to the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
Cutting small thin slices of meat and cracking some eggs she cooked the meal for two and hummed to herself. In her mind she thought about what needed to be done today, she had some gardening to finish up, and some herbs to deliver. She also had to check up on Miss Karrah who was already seven months pregnant with her first child. Sighing she wondered if she would even have any time at all to go help Parker.

______________________________________________________________ There was panic, Parker could hear the screams of his comrade as the giant hand caught him as it swooped. "Hang on! I got you!" Parker called out as he turned around to go back for his partner. This was easy enough as he was able to get his blades out in time to get his comrade out of danger, however that action was quickly fallowed by a bone breaking crunch as Parker froze before waking up in a loud thump as Parker opened his eyes to find himself on the wooden floor and tangled in blankets and sheets. "Again with the same dream this week..." Parker muttered in a groan as he slowly sat up and rubbed the back of his head, feeling the bump he made when he fell off the bed, though he felt his cold sweat run down from his head to his neck from that dream, he was at least able to look out the window to see the sun as he smiled, glad to be here, instead of out there. Getting up, Parker was able to hop a bit as he could of swore he could still feel that his missing leg was actually with him as he went to get himself ready for the day, as he ot himself washed up and dressed, Parker had gotten quite good at helping himself since his missing leg, thanks to Ophelia as he was them able to place his fake metal leg on before putting on his pants, he then tied on his bandana as made his way down stairs where he could smell the fresh aroma of breakfast. "Smells delicious as usual Lia!" Parker chirped cheerfully, trying to make a dramatic like entrance as the smell of the eggs dragged him to the table like a magnet as he then sat down to the plate that was there for him before looking up at Ophelia with a sense of accomplishment on his face. "Pretty exciting to see me actually get down here myself for once isn't it? Wait until Karrah hears about this." Parker implied with a goofy like grin on his face, knowing she would also be coming in today as he was genuinely excited that he was able to get ready and to get downstairs by himself, since Parker returned without his leg and got his replacement, Ophelia has been helping him every morning and night to get ready, and watching how hard she worked, Parker had been trying to get himself ready to save her time and to show her how thankful he was for her to be taking care of him all this time.

Ophelia had just finished with breakfast just as the sun had risen over the horizon. Smiling to herself she dried her hands and heard Parker make his way down, complimenting the aroma of her food. But of course, I know you can't help but love my cooking. she said with a grin as he sat down. She sat down across from him and nodded her head, You've been doing pretty well getting yourself ready in the morning without my help. Keep it up and I'll let you get married. she said chuckling light heartedly. By the way, I have some herbs and medicine to deliver today, so I don't know if I'll be around to help with patients or not. Unless you want to come out and help? she asked.
Ophelia wasn't one to treat Parker differently just because of his leg. Sure at first she was more mindful, but she knew babying him wouldn't make him very happy for long. He was used to his leg now and helping around was probably okay with him.
She drank her coffee and looked at Parker raising an eyebrow. Did you not sleep well again tonight? she asked her eyes clouded with concern. You know I can give you Valerian or Chamomile?" she offered.

______________________________________________________________Parker chuckled when Ophelia mentioned how he couldn't help but love her cooking as looked down at his plate with a wide grin, not hesitating to dig in right away. Hearing from Ophelia that he's been doing well made him feel a little less cripple than he already was as he chuckled lightly at her comment of letting him get married as he could feel heat rise up to his cheeks at the slightest thought of being married, though with his leg, he felt like no woman would even give him the time of day, though he knew deep down there was one woman on his mind, but his fears of his feelings being one sided always kept him from even trying as he looked up at that woman with a warm smile, hearing that she had errands to run. Ophelia looked like she needed the help as Parker simply nodded. "I'll stay around to help them while you're gone so you don't have to worry about them." Parker offered with a small smile before that small smile disappeared when she asked if he didn't sleep well. Parker went quiet as his eyes looked down as he slowly shook his head. "Oh...No I...I slept fine, but thank you Lia..." Parker replied as he tried to sound sincere...however it was obvious that Parker Greyson was known to be terrible at telling lies.

Ophelia looked to Parker noticing how he tried to lie about his lack of sleep. She leaned over her hand touching his cheek. Come on now, I know you better than that Parker. she said smiling. I also know that if you don't want to talk about it we don't have to. Just drink some tea before bed, and I'll feel a lot better alright? she asked with a cheerful grin. She leaned back into her seat and continued eating. Unlike Parker, who was like an open book Ophelia was very good at hiding her feelings when she wanted to. Even though he couldn't see it, she was blushing hard on the inside.
Not many boys thought she was pretty, and it wasn't until she got older that men began looking her way but ever since she was young there had only been one boy who swayed her heart. Only one person thought she was beautiful and watched her bloom into who she was today. And it was that one person whom she dedicated her heart to. Unbeknownst of his feelings for her Ophelia had thought her love was also one-sided. Because she was stubborn, hard-headed, and a tomboy.
Finishing breakfast she stood collecting the dishes and smirked his way. You're turn. she decided and went to the next room where she packaged the herbs for delivery. I'll be back in a couple minutes, this won't take long. she said grinning and headed out the door, her basket filled with prescription medicine and herbs. Be good and water the plants will you? she asked.

______________________________________________________________Parker kept his eyes on the ground before feeling Ophelia's soft hand on his cheek as his eyes grew wide as he slowly looked over at her, slightly leaning in her hand subconsciously as he could feel the warmth in her hand. Her soft smile made him feel a little less anxious as he thought about his restless night as she told him she knew him better and that he didn't have to talk about it. "Well...You know...It's nothing really, just a recap of where my leg went, but you already know that heh...I'm sorry Lia." Parker replied in an apologetic tone as he smiled a lop sided smile before nodding as he agreed to start drinking herbal tea before bed. Looking at the dishes that Ophelia collected as she told him it was his turn, he nodded as he got up. "Thank you for breakfast it was great! That doesn't sound like too long of a delivery...Sounds like to me you're going to sprint it." he replied jokingly to Ophelia saying how it would take her a few minutes and that she wouldn't be long. Being asked to water the plants Parker simply nodded as he walked over to the sink and started to clean the dishes while filling up the watering can as well. "You got it Lia, see you in a bit and be safe." Parker implied as he looked over his shoulder, watching Ophelia get her herbs together.

Ophelia chuckled rushing outside and making all her deliveries as quickly as possible. She was glad that all the deliveries were so close to the clinic. She had taken the time to think about what Parker had said about his dreams. So he was dreaming about how he lost his leg again... she thought sadly. That day was probably the worst day of her life, right next to losing her grandmother. She didn't want to remember the fear and panic she felt. The horror when she first saw Parker like that. Bloodied and missing a leg. Having never seen a titan before, all she needed was that one memory to realize what a monstrosity and terror they were. She never wanted to leave the walls, and she felt an even less want after that. They had nearly taken someone precious from her. Without Parker, she would have been all alone.
Shaking her head from the memory she went back to delivering her herbs. It had only taken her a little over half and hour to finish before returning back to the clinic, breathing heavily. Phew...done. she breathed quickly fixing her hair and dusting her apron before walking inside. Stepping inside she set the basket down and sneak up on Parker, who was busy watering her garden in the back.
Grinning she lunged at him and wrapped her legs around his waist her arms around his neck. Parker! she sang before releasing her legs so not to strain his false leg. She smiled her arms still around her neck, her face close to his. I finished with the deliveries. You can stop here for now. I think Karrah will be coming by in a couple of minutes, so you should get the examination room ready. Or did you want me to do it? she asked letting him go. Either way, I don't mind. she said.

______________________________________________________________Parker watched Ophelia as she headed out the door, something in Parker felt like he wished that he chose to go with her and another part was even paranoid that something would happen to her, however another part of him thought that it would be best to not worry and fret, because Ophelia isn't as frail as she looks, in fact she could probably handle herself more than he ever could. After doing the dishes, Parker decided to get the examination room ready for the patients as it took up most of his time, after getting that set up Parker then went over to the plants with the watering can as he began to water her plants as he suddenly felt Ophelia jump on his from behind as he gasped out and nearly fell forward from being surprised as he herd Ophelia calling out his name. Parker looked over slightly as his face was already so close To Ophelia's as he smiled widely. "Hey Lia! that took longer than I thought, I was just about to get out and look for you after I watered the plants." He implied lightly in a slight joking tone with a smile as Lia told him that he could stop. Mentioning Karrah and to have the examination room ready, Parker smiled as he chuckled a bit, "Actually i had it ready while you were out...I kinda of figured she was coming today so I hope you don't mind." Parker replied with a grin as he motioned over to pointing inside.

Ophelia released her hold on him and smiled staring into his eyes. She held her arms behind her back and grinned. Good work. she said watching him water the plants. By the way, when I was delivering the medicine for Colt, he invited me to the festival tomorrow. she mentioned glancing to the side. She wondered how Parker would have felt about it. She didn't tell him whether she accepted or rejected Colt, because she wanted to know whether Parker had wanted to take her instead.
We won't be open that day. So I was curious as whether you had picked the girl you wanted to take. she said before pouting. And don't give me that 'I haven't asked because no one would want me with a leg like this' nonsense! Lots of girls really like you and want to be asked by you. Y-you shouldn't be so down on yourself. she said closing her eyes and pouted.
She waited a moment looking back up to Parker her cheeks flushing in color. She wondered if there was even a girl he was interested in. Surely, it could have been any of his patients. They all thought he was kind and gentle. There were far more pretty and nicer girls than herself around him. He had many choices. W-well then Parker? she asked until they were interrupted by Karrah walking in through the front door with her husband calling out for Parker and Ophelia.

______________________________________________________________ As Ophelia released Parker she gave him a praise fallowed by something Parker didn't quite expect as his smile seemed to have went from right up to lopsided as his eyes widened, almost in a bit of shock when he herd that Colt had invited her to go to the festival with him. "He's at it again..." Parker thought as he kept his feelings about that guy to himself, Colt had been the kind of kid who was stuck up, which didn't bother Parker since he was no trouble but recently, from the time Parker use to be in the scouting legion, he's noticed Colt seemed to be trying to get to Ophelia, though he's very subtle about it, of course it could also be simply Parker being paranoid, after all they weren't getting any younger and he's even herd women talk to Ophelia about when she would get married or have children. "Oh...I see...Did you accept his invitation?" Parker asked as he tried to restrain the tone of his voice, trying not to sound as upset and worked up as he was. When Lia asked if he picked a girl he could feel himself breaking a sweat. "Yes I already picked her...she's right in front of me!" he shouted to himself in his thoughts over Ophelia commenting about how he shouldn't be so down on himself. Parker had to think quickly as he honestly forgot about the upcoming festival. "Actually Lia, I was wondering if you-" Parker was cut off by Karra and Noel calling for them in the clinic. Parker quickly looked at Lia, giving her a look that he would finish off what he said in a minute as he walked over to the couple to greet them. "Karrah, Noel good to see you! and little one...it's good to see you're steadily growing in there." Parker greeted as he looked over at Karrah's tummy, talking to the baby as the parents smiled. "Yup, the baby has been really excited and restless lately, we hope that's normal and that everything is well so far." Noel replied as Parker looked at the man. "That's what we're here for, to make sure your baby is just fine." Parker replied as Noel couldn't help but stare at him for a moment. "Yeah, this is my first time being a father...I'm nervous...When are you going to let yourself settle down Grey? You have all the materials here." Noel commented as Parker froze, comprehending on what the man just said to him. "I have all the materials?"

She looked up to him eagerly wanting to know the name of the girl he was going to ask but was interrupted when she heard Karrah and Noel walk in. She smiled warmly going to hug Karrah, Hi Karrah! How are you? she asked pleasantly. She shook hands with Noel and touched Karrah's stomach. Good morning Felia, Grey. the new mother said merrily. She held her husbands hand looking to Parker excitedly, Thanks again for taking us today. You two must be busy for the festival and such. she said holding Ophelia's hand and was led to the examination room. Ophelia smiled helping her to sit and gave her a quick check up. The festival must have given you fond memories huh? Lia asked remembering that was where she had met Noel.
So, has Parker asked you to the festival yet? I mean it's tomorrow. she whispered not wanting Parker to hear. When Ophelia shook her head she pouted, asking what was taking him so long. Ophelia blushed deep red and shook her head. H-he's going to ask someone else, a-and besides, Colt asked me...so it should be alright. she said embarrassed. She watched Noel walk back inside with Parker and smiled. She's just fine Noel. I'll let Parker continue with his examination. she said standing and stepped aside for Parker.

______________________________________________________________While Ophelia was talking to Karrah, Noel took the time to talk to Parker with a friendly man to man talk before Paker had to examine his wife and the baby. "Listen to me Grey, I see the way you look at Ophelia when her back's turned, that's the same look that Karrah and I gave each other which resulted in that baby you're checking up on." Noel implied as Parker felt his face get red. "Noel please..." Parker replied in a whisper, thinking that Noel might have been loud. Noel simply rolled his eyes. "I'm just saying Grey, I want you to listen and head this warning and head it well, if you don't act now, someone else will, then you'll lose her for good..." Noel added as Parker thought about Colt before looking over at Lia and Karrah, seeing that she was ready to be examined as Ophelia motioned over to the two men who were in their corner. "Oh thank goodness, at least I'm at peace to know it's normal, Grey here was just calming me down, I was about to have a panic attack." Noel replied as Parker shook his head at the man before going over to Karrah to proceed with the examination, over all, she was a healthy mother to be with a healthy child as well. "You're all clear Karrah, everything is looking great and your baby has the bill of perfect health. I would say you should be expecting in about 3 months." Parker implied as Noel perked his head up as he heard this himself. "Wow, all that worry, and it turns out the baby is just fine...Thank you God." Noel muttered as he felt relieved and in bliss.

Ophelia smiled standing beside Parker as he continued checking on Karrah. She blushed slightly wondering when the day will come when he becomes a mother. She was still young, there was time, but in this day, and age most women would be having their first child at twenty. Mostly because of the fact men and women were dying at an alarming rate because of the titans. She wondered if she would ever be able to muster the courage to confess her feelings for Parker.
Karrah smiled brightly and nodded her head.Thank you Parker. she said hugging him. I'm sorry again for bothering you. Now Noel can stop panicking whenever the little one kicks. she said chuckling. Carefully standing she left with her husband, leaving Lia and Parker standing there alone. She blushed and smiled affectionately, They seem happy. she said pleasantly. She then cleaned up the examination room and looked to Parker. By the way, do you want to go drinking tonight? she asked. You know, before the festivities tomorrow?

"It's alright to worry, just don't give yourself a heart attack, Karrah needs you too you know..." Parker implied to Noel as he looked over at Karrah as she thanked him, Parker smiled and nodded as he was delighted to be here for them. Thinking about how worked up Noel was over being a father, Parker couldn't help but think, Noel and Karrah were actually almost a year younger than him, yet Parker wasn't even married and in times like these it's common to see those who were 15 years of age getting married, and some even having kids, it was a hectic time so it varied from people, mostly the class between the working class to the high class. As Parker bid them a good day, he took account to what Noel had told him as he looked over at Ophelia, the rose like color on her cheeks and that smile that simply made Parker feel breathless. "Yeah..." Parker simply replied as he seemed a bit lost in thought as he stared at her before he broke out of his thoughts when she went to clean the examination room before asking if he wanted to go out to drink with her tonight. "Oh? Sure! It's been a while since we relaxed, it's been a busy week." Parker replied, finding this to be the perfect opportunity to try to make that move before Colt was anymore involved. "About that festival, are you still going with Colt? Because I meant to ask you if you wanted to go i-it's just that I've been so busy and...it slipped my mind, b-but if you want to go with him that's just fine, you probably see me enough already..." Parker spilled out, he meant to be a bit more assertive, but instead he only sounded like he was weak.

She looked up to him smiling brightly when he agreed to go drinking tonight. She paused from what she was doing when he mentioned the festival and blushed bright red. She couldn't believe what she was hearing. She couldn't believe he was honestly asking her to go to the festival with her. She looked to him her face turning deep red. Y-you're going to ask me?! she squeaked jumping back a bit. B-but, what about the other girls who want you to ask them? D-did they say no? Am I a last resort?! she asked getting slightly defensive. The thought that she was first choice never came to mind for him.
She looked to him and fussed with the front of her apron unable to process what just happened. She wasn't prepared. I...I told Colt I couldn't go with him, in the hopes you would ask me, but I honestly didn't think you would ask me. she admitted. I-I mean, there were a lot of girls telling me that they were waiting for you to ask them...I didn't think I'd stand a chance against such pretty girls. Are you s-sure you want to take me? she asked.
