Appearance: * Saji's body is heavily built after years of hard weather endurance training as well as physical training. This has ended up making his body extremely well sculpted as well as scarred to a certain caliber. Some people might prefer a bit more of an agile figure but Saji only really focused in strength and endurance, keeping speed as a secondary. Built much like an ox he is capable of massive feats of strengths as well as taking large amounts of damage without much visible wear. The scars he has across his body vary from minor scratches to large gouges from his history. Out of all of these the most prominent is a long running scar that goes from the top of his left shoulder down the his lower left abdomen. His hair is about to shoulder blade length and is kept in a tight pony tail, the front part though being left to look sharp and messy. He also boasts a bit of stubble along his face, not to be called a beard but not clean shaven for certain. Saji keeps to a traditional soul reaper garb and uniform, usually pressed flat and cleaned on a daily basis so that it always seems crisp. Around his neck he also wears a white scarf to match with the uniform. His weapon is kept on his side at all times with the blade upside down in the sheath so it is facing up, thus keeping it as sharp as possible. Besides his zanpakuto he also sports two extra blades that he keeps on his back directly next to one another facing to the right. They are wakazashi in length and usually kept as backups or when facing multiple opponents. A hidden dagger is also kept attached to the side of his leg for emergency situations.

Personality: * Saji holds a reserved personality, never really going too far over board with an emotion. He keeps to small things such as a smirk or a grin, even a small thing such as a chuckle. It is often seen for Saji to avoid things like social gatherings or high populated areas as well due to his inability to really talk to strangers or people. Since he never really was exposed to society for any lengths of time it left him pretty new in the field of mingling. With friends he might show a little bit more of himself as he would hold more trust in them to not abuse what they learn.
In battle Saji is much more redrawn from those around him. He is extremely focused as well as solid in expression, holding nothing more than a tight frown. He doesn't enjoy battle and never really has but has come to understand that some things in this world can only really be settled by blades. During fights he has been seen to make split second and precise decisions that could change the tide of battle in an instant as well as long drawn out strategies. Because he excels in so many types of weapon as well he is quick to adapt to a changing battle without much issue or worry.
Likes: ** Although Saji seems pretty reserved on most things there are a few things in life that bring a smile to the man’s face. He holds a high amount of respect for honor in those around him and will not hesitate to help a comrade or someone who has good in their heart if it is a good idea to in the slightest. As well as honor he enjoys academics such as math, writing, or even biology. One of his particular favorites is studying plants, especially flowers. He will often take notes or sketches of flowers that catch his eye or fancy.
Dislikes: ** Many of Saji's dislike stem from his past as he was never really able to form any strong dislikes in the soul society itself. He hates betrayal of most forms as well as abuse of one’s own power. To add to this he doesn't like disrespect in a lot of forms because it usually causes friction. Saji has also been seen to tolerate a great deal of things without any signs of anger or discomfort.
Biography: * Saji was born in feudal Japan in the year 1305 AD. At this time the noble class known as samurai were on both the military and political rise and were beginning to hold a far stronger place in Japanese culture itself. He grew up in feudal japan under the reign of a new Emperor that had taken the thrown by force. This Emperor in particular was a high ranking samurai and thus brought in his clan as the new form of military. It was issued in a new age that was ruled by the samurai and governed by very strict laws, usually disobeying them leading to death or other forms of strict punishment. Around this time black smiths were beginning to develop a two-layer structure of soft and hard steel for use in swords. This structure gave much improved cutting power and endurance, and the production technique led to Japanese swords (katana) being recognized as some of the most potent hand weapons of pre-industrial East Asia. The blade itself though was only given out to members of the lord’s clan upon discovery of it, making it difficult for any type of a rebellion to happen.
Saji himself was the son of a high ranking noble and was raised in the inner most sector of the Emperors city and domain. His father was a political adviser at the time and soon found himself under a contract to the Emperor. After many trips to the Emperors palace his father decided to ask one of the Emperors Generals if his son would be able to join the factions of samurai that helped keep order in the realm. Around this time Saji was only 16 though so any thoughts of him becoming a samurai were quickly dismissed. It was only after a great deal of bargaining and influence that he was given a chance to be tested. The tests themselves measured a persons will, strength, and raw skill without any formal training beforehand. Up until this point Saji had been kept at home and only taught arts of knowledge and beauty, never before had his hands grasped a sword. Once he was tested his performance was phenomenal, almost as though he had been born to use the katana. Passing all of the requirements in flying colors he was quickly enrolled into the faction and trained to become the samurai his father had always dreamed of.
Now Saji wasn't a particularly outgoing individual. He was raised very isolated from the society, only ever really being allowed outside to tend to the garden or to learn about the insects and animals that roamed in the holding areas. This left him as very reserved, quiet, and highly curious of everything. When he was forced into the test and then training the world took a very different turn for him. Well Before he was taught about the beauty and complexity of the world, now he was only taught the art of war and crushing another soul without mercy. The effect his military training had on him was by no means a vibrant mark on his personality but it what it did do was hone his thinking to a lethal level of sharpness and accuracy. An interesting note though was that during his training as a samurai he held a great interest for the weapons that they used, never using one more so than another for favoritism. He seemed to use each weapon to gain an advantage against one that would be at a disadvantage if it were to face it, capitalizing on people’s favoritism of only a few particular styles of battle. After only a short time he seemingly mastered each of the traditional weapons in the samurai’s arsenal and a large number of sword arts that were being taught, even creating his own in the few bits of spare time that he received.
In only a few short years Saji finished his training and was handpicked by the Emperor himself to be a member of his personal guard, made up of only the finest soldiers in all the land. Well the Emperor seemed to hold a great interest for Saji, usually asking him questions and attempting to prod him for personal details, the young samurai never really returned the Emperors admiration much more than any normal soldier would. He would never question the Emperors order though and almost always completed it without any hesitation. However around this time there were many rumors circulating about the Emperor, one of the strongest being that his corruption was beginning to plague the land. Since Saji was located so securely inside of the palace he never got a chance to see signs of such plague or corruption. In fact out of the entire personal guard Saji held the Emperor in the highest regards. Even at that point to Saji's legendary skill in the art of battle was beginning to spread and a legend was found, or perhaps created, that the only savior to a land plagued by evil must be a legendary samurai. Many years past and as this legend grew the Emperor began to grow suspicious of Saji, wondering if he was truly the one that was to end his reign. After a quick decision he brought Saji's father in for questioning, which is where Saji's history turns for the worst.
Originally Saji was never told that his father was being brought to the palace for questioning as he was under too much suspicion at the time to be told. It wasn't until one of his fellow personal guards informed him of this, most likely out of a sense of friendship that he learned of the Emperors action. Sneaking into the hall that his father was being questioned that he bore witness to his own father’s trial. All of the nobles of the region as well as generals of the Emperors army were there as well as the Emperor himself. Well a normal questioning would be nothing more than inquiries and intimidation by the time Saji had gotten there he witnessed a hideous form of torture being used on his father. The man was tied up from each limb and stretched out over a roaring fire, slowly being turned and lowered closer and closer into the flames. During this event the Emperor continued to shout and ask him if Saji was truly the chosen one, to which his father would give no reply. After mere minutes of this torture his charred body was fully cast into the pit and the trial was dismissed, leaving the Emperor infuriated that he had learned nothing. Saji himself though was left in utter shock at this betrayal but made no movement against the Emperor. It was only when he was informed that his father’s house had been burned down and it to be believed that his father was caught in the inferno that Saji decided it was time to venture to the outside of the palace, and learn if the rumors he had been hearing were true. He did this in secrecy; leaving one of his fellow guardsmen in his place for the short time he was gone. It was only after seeing the rolling plagues and the starving population that he did return.
What happened next is very blurry in history and smudged with rumors and legend, however the truth to it is far simpler then you might believe. You see due to the Emperors growing suspicion of Saji he was kept under nearly constant watch and restriction. Even when he was to meet with the Emperor personally to be informed of a mission all members of the guard were brought without telling Saji, this was in case he was going to try to kill the Emperor of course. It wasn't until they were on a carriage ride to the outskirts of the palace that Saji made his move. After conspiring with one of his fellow guardsmen Saji had him hire a large group of bandits to pose as a distraction. Hiding them inside the city walls they ambushed the Emperors carriage and forced the Emperor to flee on foot with only a few of his guards men in tow. Saji as well as two others were by the side of the Emperor as he attempted to retreat to his home, however he would not get this far. In a matter of seconds Saji dispersed his guard’s men before shoving his katana through the still beating heart of the Emperor and leaving his corpse to rot in the middle of the city. Saji though, after a few short moments of consideration, decided to leave his sword embedded inside of the Emperor before fleeing the palace and becoming a Ronin. This meant that whoever discovered the body would know without a doubt what had happened there, and who had killed the Emperor. Unfortunately for Saji though, he would not know any kind of peace even after the monsters death.
Skip ahead to the year 1330 AD, only a few short years after the murder of the samurai Emperor. He had been succeeded by his son, a hot headed and short tempered man of military power. When he had been informed of Saji's betrayal and the murder of his father he was enraged and grasped the throne before any of his siblings could question it. This man even went so far as to kill off all of his relatives to ensure that he and he alone would hold the title of Emperor. And even though he managed to claim this power so easily though the one heavy fact still wore in his mind, the murder of his father. As he pushed his military to conqueror far off lands the new Emperor would start to hire mercenaries and all brands of warriors to find and kill Saji. After a short time the new Emperor even promised a kings fortune for the one who brought him the Ronins head. However no matter how skilled, exotic, or blood crazed the men were very few returned from their quest, even fewer that had come into conflict with Saji.
At that point however it had become glaringly clear on where Saji had chosen to hide and why so few people were able to find him. Off the coast of Japan there was an isolated island that was plagued by constant storms and rumors of terrible sea creatures. In order to get there people must be forced through these trials, leaving them usually ragged and will broken by the time they managed to reach the island, if they even made it that far. Once on the island though they would find a metropolis of dangerous animals and insects, calling their home in a deep bamboo jungle. Only the strongest and the bravest would ever make it to what Saji would now call home, a small hut that was connected to a large cave system in the middle of the island. There he lived off of the land itself and only ever ventured onto land to resupply his weapons or to get medicine. After a few more years of continuous failures the new Emperor held a military campaign to kill ronin once and for all, taking his fleet of ships to the island and surrounding it before his army marched ashore.
There the soldiers would spend months hacking away at the lush forest, creating many paths in attempt to find Saji's hut. Many of them became sick and even wounded as they were forced to kill the wild animals that roamed there and deal with low food supplies. This brought moral to an all-time low as they only just managed to find the ronins hut. All of this time though Saji had heard the men, seen their fires, and had been given plenty of time to prepare the area. Some of the first people to set foot on his grounds were met with pit falls, bear traps, and many other obstacles. You would think though that simply alighting his hut with flames would be enough to force him out, but after many attempts of this it did nothing more than burn it down and reveal the cave entrance. It took a week to clear away the traps before the remaining army could access the cave. At this time though the general was still hanging behind his men, not wanting to take part in the bloody killing until the very end, so when he sent most of his army into the caves to drag out the traitor he was met with a nasty surprise.
The cave system itself held many twists and turns that could lead to almost anywhere. One of these particular turns though lead to the lake that was near his hut, a sort of escape route. After his hut had been burned down Saji retreated to this particular cave and waited until the new Emperor sent in his men to swim through the cave and resurface from the lake, seemingly having been there the entire time. Dressed in his armor of the past and hold his weapons tightly he would rush the dumb founded new Emperors guards, cutting them down before they had a chance to even react. However all of the time and physical strain of the encampment had taken its toll on Saji and his breathing was already ragged as his final opponent fell. The new Emperor realized that if he was to get his revenge now would be the opportune moment, pulling out his massive nodachi as he approached the ronin.
The battle was short but bloody. Saji was forced onto the defensive as he only slimly dodged the massive blade, unable to make a clear counter attack. The more he was forced to dodge though the harder it was to predict where the next strike would come from. His mind was racing as it came to the realization that he might be killed before he was able to get a chance. This left only one final option in his mind. As the new Emperor let out a bellowing roar he would slash downwards into Saji's shoulder, cutting part of his torso as well as his left arm off completely. It only took a few seconds though before the new Emperor realized what Saji had done as his no dachi butchered through the ronin. His eyes would slowly gaze down to see Saji's hand tightly grasped around his katana, stabbed through the heart just as his father had been. The large body fell backwards in only a few seconds as Saji dropped to his knees, katana still in hand as it dripped with blood. He was no fool though; he knew that his wounds were fatal without a doubt. After a few final moments of thoughts he would plunge his own weapon through his gut, performing seppuku, and finishing his own life. What the ronin didn't know though was that he had broken the line of corruption and allowed a proper Emperor to take the throne, one that would bring Japan back to the forefront of power and influence once more.
Zanpakuto Information ________________________________________
Zanpakuto Name: * Daiki Taro
Sealed Description: * Daiki looks almost as though it is made of one solid material. The handle of the weapon as well as guard is a deep black color to match a darker black cloth wrapping around the handle itself. At the end of the handle is an ornate obsidian cup to cap it off. The guard is a typical oval shape with 4 diamonds around it. On the sheath is a black cloth tightly wrapped and allows it to be hooked onto the black or held by the rope itself. The sheath is black as well, resembling the same material as the handle. Daiko is a katana of normal length the most interesting aspect though of Daiki is that it is about 20 pounds in weight, making it drastically heavier than the average katana. This makes for surprisingly powerful strikes and swings that would catch opponents off guard and force them to compensate against the much heavier weapon. Saji himself is mildly affected by the weight but due to his rigorous training, especially with the sword itself, he can use it without tiring too quickly.
Zanpakuto Spirit Appearance: ** Daiki is seen as a stoic rock humanoid that is almost always smoking a large pipe shaped tree trunk. He himself almost resembles the fabled golems as his entire body is made of rocks and boulders, patches of moss growing over parts of his body. On his face is a large vine beard that stretches down to what could be called his belly and often will catch aflame from the pipe. A most peculiar thing though is that the creature does seem to have eyes, those being two extremely smooth black orbs on either side of his face. His mouth is largely made up of cracked rocks and pebbles, bits of them usually fall out when he talks. It gives an overall jolly feeling when one looks at Daiki despite his large and heavy appearance.
Zanpakuto Spirit Personality: ** Daiki has a very jolly personality. He will make a joke whenever the moment is given, even delving into the most horrible of puns if just to lighten the mood. His overall vibe though is also leaning towards an elder quality, having bits of wisdom he shares with Saji or helping in a situation if he is needed. The zanpakuto spirit though is still relatively simple and tries to keep things as such, simplifying complicated situations far quicker than Saji could.
Inner World: ** Daiki lives in a massive mountain valley that is just above the clouds, creating a very breath taking sight to those that might witness it. He stays in a hut that is constructed of boulders and stones, usually sitting outside of it staring out into the blue expanse and mountain tops that surround him.
Shikai Status:* Achieved
Release Command: * Crush
Shikai Released Appearance: * Saji's attire has changed to a partially armored uniform similar to something a trainee would wear. He has guards on his legs as well as forearms and thighs. On his chest is another piece of armor that covers everything up to the shoulders and below the stomach. Besides that he has the black soul reaper uniform underneath and a white cloth belt hold onto his sheath. On his back as well the extra weapons have transformed into a wakazashi and hachiwara. Well the wakazashi is well known as a shorter version of the katana the hachiwara itself resembles a small blade with a hook at the back. This hook is primarily used for disarming bladed to staff weapons, as well as the dagger itself for piercing weak points in an enemy’s armor or skin. A few less combat based changes is that his hair has changed to a deep black as well as eyes changed to a deep red color.
The final aspect of his shikai though is the weight of the armor itself due to its extremely high durability and the results of this weight. Each piece of armor excluding the chest piece is roughly 50 pounds in weight. This makes his strikes even harder than before as well as movements much more drastic when they are made due to the force behind them. The chest piece is roughly only 30 pounds in weight because it isn't make so much for weight and force, instead focusing into defense and protection. His hachiwara itself is 5 pound well the wakazashi is 10 pounds. His zanpakuto has remained the same and is still 20 pounds of weight. The armor itself though is not simply just heavy but incredibly durable, able to take massive strikes with little more than a chip if blocked correctly. It does make maneuvering though much trickier due to the force and mass of the armor so Saji is always careful of that. In total he carries is 365 pounds making his total weight 565 pounds in shikai.

Shikai Abilities: * 1. In his shikai state Saji's strength is greatly bolstered to allow him to properly use his armor and weapons with ease. He is now strong enough to move at normal speeds even with the heavy armor and weapons; the difference though is that his strikes and parries hold much more force than before which can surprise people who don't know that they are much heavier.
2. By concentrating for a moment Saji can transform his entire body and equipment into heavy stone, making him way twice as much as he did before and bolstering his defenses greatly. The downside to this ability though is it makes him much slower than before so it is mostly used for defensive purposes. It can be turned off and on, each time taking a post to do either.
3. Well all people can sense reishi in some forms Saji can precisely sense and pick it apart to know what exactly is happening. For example if someone was charging a cero attack towards him or a kido spell he would know before the attack or spell is used what it most likely will be and thus be able to properly counter. This can also be used for people attempting to hide their reishi output or are using flash step techniques as well.
4. By putting his katana back into his sheath Saji concentrates a high amount of reishi inside of the sheath before releasing it all with a draw, creating a rapid and powerful slash through the air. This slash is capable of cutting a building in half with ease and is not easily dodged due to the speed. However because of the fact that he needs to put his weapon away it can be a telltale sign of what is to come so it is predictable if you have encountered it before.
Bankai Status: * Achieved
Bankai Description: *In bankai state Saji wears a very traditional set of Samurai armor. The armor itself is composed of multiple layers of protection.
A full suite of traditional Samurai armour would include the following items:
Dou or dō, a chest armour made up of iron and or leather plates of various sizes and shapes with pendants kusazuri made from iron or leather plates hanging from the front and back of the dou (dō) to protect the lower body and upper leg.
Sode, large rectangular shoulder protection made from iron and or leather plates.
Kote, armoured glove like sleeves which extended to the shoulder or han kote (kote gauntlets) which covered the forearms. Kote were made from cloth covered with iron plates of various size and shape, connected by chain armor (kusari).
Kabuto, a helmet made from iron or leather plates (from 3 to over 100 plates) riveted together. A neck guard shikoro made from several layers of curved iron or leather strips was suspended from the bottom edge of the kabuto.
Mengu, various types of lacquered metal and or leather facial armour designed in a way that the top heavy helmet kabuto could be tied and secured to them by various metal posts. Mengu had throat guards yodare-kake made from several rows of iron or leather plates or kusari (chain armour) sewn to a cloth backing, suspended from the bottom edge.
Haidate, thigh guards which tied around the waist and covered the thighs. These were made from cloth with small iron and or leather plates of various size and shape, usually connected to each other by chain armour (kusari) and sewn to the cloth.
Suneate, shin guards made from iron splints connected together by chain armor (kusari) and sewn to cloth and tied around the calf.
He also has 3 katanas, 2 kept on his right side and on along his back. Each of these katanas are 40 pounds each, making for extremely powerful strikes. The armor itself though weighs 1000 pounds in total and is extremely tough to hit through if you did not know the weak points of it.

Bankai Abilities: * 1. Much similar to his shikai his bankai bolsters a massive increase of strength allowing him to wear his armor and weapons without any kind of hindrance. The force he is able to exert and unleash against opponents is almost nightmarish as it becomes almost like being hit by a train at this point. He isn't though faster than the average captain bankai as the extra amounts of strength only allow him to move normally as he would if he was wearing nothing at all. The main point to the ability is simply to allow him to use the massive weight and force given without being exhausted in mere moments.
2. As before his power was to be able to discern and sense reishi at high rates it has now evolved into the manipulation of reishi. The manipulation is mostly shown through concentrating it onto certain areas of his body or weapons and unleashing it in large bursts, creating sudden and often violent attacks. He is able to manipulate the reishi being given off in area of 20 feet around him, being a limited range this usually means he is forced to exert large amounts of reiastu in order to harness the reishi inside of it for his use. However one of the upsides to the ability is if someone were to attempt to attack him with a reishi rich attack he would be able to literally rip it apart and harness it for himself. These would be things such as kido spells, ceros, or any other heavily based energy attacks. However he cannot simply make a energy attack completely evaporate around him in a mere moment as it still takes some time to pick it apart. Weaker ones though will dissipate much more quickly then say a more powerful attack.
3. A final and nearly suicidal attack Saji must take his zanpakuto and slam it through his gut. Upon doing this a massive amount of reiastu can be sensed for just a moment before thousands of reishi blades attempt to cut apart his opponents. Well it is a truly devastating amount of damage it does not come without a great cost to his body as it has a very high chance of simply killing Saji. If he is not dead after the attack is over then he would be near death and in need of immediate assistance. Because of all of these reasons Saji would never consider using this attack unless the situations were truly dire.

Kido:*Due to an unstable reiastu Saji had a great difficulty in learning any kido. It got to the point where even simple spells would often just erupt in his face so he decided to drop any knowledge in kido and instead focus into the more physical classes.
Hado: ** Hado Novice: Capable of minimal to no Hado at all, will often make mistakes when even trying.
Bakudo: ** Bakudo Novice: Capable of minimal to no bakudo at all, will often make mistakes when even trying.
Hakuda: ** Hakuda Master: Capable of taking on average armed opponents and those many times their size easily.
Hoho: ** Shunpo Master: Capable of maintaining high speed movements for extended periods of time while using the least amount of steps to achieve those movements. Masters are capable of using advanced steps, which are considerably harder to initiate. A master can possibly create new techniques but it is most likely a rare occurrence.

Abilities and Special Training: ** Saji has trained not only his body but his swords-manship to almost maddening levels. He spends large amounts of free time honing these to the limits so as to always be prepared. It is almost to a point where they are all second nature to him. Because of these things his body and mind are as sharp as any blade and should not be underestimated.
One more hidden skill though is often thought as a strange one. When Saji had been in the human realm he stumbled upon what you could call a kind of kido. What it does is it allows him to create a garganta through a long process that usually takes around 5 to 10 minutes. He will never openly admit to knowing this though as it could cause controversy.
