PersonalityPersönlichkeit:XXXXXX Darius is a serious person when it comes to the job. He expresses a sense of confidence in his abilities and takes great pleasure in demonstrating them. Especially in cases when he was told the task couldn't be done. He is always pushing to improve and can seem restless. He is observant and has a keen eye for opportunity which gives him a bit of a temper when plans he knows will work are denied. Though he will not hesitate to voice a difference in opinion, even to a superior, he is a good soldier and will not out right engage in dissension; he will not challenge a superior in front of their subordinates. One of his greatest and most useful traits is adaptability. Darius is not always so serious. Off duty he relaxes a good deal given the situation. He often seeks out others to mingle with. He enjoys talking with others and passing the time engaged in group activities. Rarely he will seek seclusion or time to think, often hanging around in the horse corals with the animals. You will very very rarely find him not in the presence of another living being.

Darius grew up in the Trost District living close to the wall. He was a thrill seeker at an early age and boys will be boys. The friends of his youth gave him his first nickname, Dare, when he climbed the Rose wall on just such an activity. He managed to climb up far enough that personnel manning the Rose Wall caught the boy and took him home. That little adventure got him grounded for some time but never stopped him from seeking to reach the top.
It would take him years before he finally made it to the top of the Rose Wall. From there he watched the outer lands for hours without any interruption from any personnel. That day was the first time the boy ever saw a Titan, wandering the far outer lands. The giant gave him a goal in life. From that day on he wanted to be in the Legions and protect those that remained behind the walls.
Darius earned his second nickname while in prep to join the cadet legion. He was always training for the day he would get his chance. In the group one of the other candidates beside him noticed a series of tally marks on the side of Darius' weapon and asked what they were. Darius' answer was confident and simple. Each mark represented each time he impressed the sergeant that was reviewing them. The sergeant happened to be passing behind them and burst out laughing upon hearing the claim. He didn't say anything to them at the time but Darius added a fifth tally mark the next day when he got the notice to report to for training with the 5th Cadet Legion the next day.

It is a bit big but the wifi connection I'm on currently never loads up the photobucket editor so I can change the size to what is desired. I will scale it down to the proper size tomorrow and swap them out.
