The winter type came early this year. Not that it bothered the loved Drapion. He love all seasons. Each of them had its own reason for being a great season. Though spring was known as the season for love, winter was the season so many loved to cuddle up and get close to a loved one to stay warm. Alas he had no one right yet and though as he watched the new show flurries falling down to add to the ones already piling up on the ground he found his mind wandering to what the country side would be like this time of year. Maybe he would have to take a long familiar walk deeper into the country side to see what fall and winter were like out in the more opened areas.
He had a thick silk and faux fur lined cloak on that had sleeves that covered and hung just past his gloved covered delicate fingers. He did not have boots for his feet but his pants hung nearly to the ground covering most views of his wrapped and covered feet. Around his neck he had a scarf he had help Mariette make for him that covered his lower face to his nose.
He had been so lost in thought that he had forgotten where he had been walking and when his mind finally caught up with his feet he found himself in a snow covered clearing. His crimson eyes blinked looking handsomely shocked. "Oh my...where have I gotten myself?" He asked not recognizing where he was.

Jacen heard a voice and slowly sat up. The little vanilite had been sleeping against an oak tree just outside the clearing. He yawned, rubbing at his eyes, and finally stood. "You're just outside the forest," he answered the teenager's question. "Are you lost? I know the area pretty well now." He certainly did. The small boy had been abandoned only recently, but had been going back and forth from the forest to the city in order to collect much needed supplies. Mostly food. He had managed to snag a bed sheet and a discarded teddy bear. They were small comforts. He didn't need them, he supposed, but it made life seem warmer towards him somehow.
"I'm Jacen," he introduced himself. "I live here," he added, gesturing at the oak tree. "So if you want help, I'm here. Okay? I don't like people getting lost." Had this teenager been abandoned like he had been? Well! If so, he wasn't sharing his teddy bear.

Carwyn was a bit taken back by the straight forward and confident the young male spoke to him. He shook his head looking at the young figure. "Thank you mister Jacen for letting me know where I am. I do not think I am lost but my mind was else where and I am not where I thought I would be. That is all. Thank you kindly for your offer to help though." he smiled and walked over to the younger male. He crouched down near the little Vanilite. "You live here near this large Oak? Are you warm enough here? I do not see any shelter here for you. Are you all alone?" He asked gently his crimson eyes warm as they looked over the child his lips curved in a soft smile.

"Not lost?" Jacen smiled. He was glad the teenager wasn't lost. "Okay. Sure. I'm glad you're not lost." He paused, hesitating. He hadn't expected that question. "Er yes. I live there. I'm fine," he added. "I'm a vanilite and I can deal with the cold." He fidgetted awkwardly. "I'm all alone, but I'm okay. I've been on my own before. Maybe I'll find somewhere to stay." He smiled. "So, what were you looking for?"

Carwyn stayed crouched and gently reached out to ruffle the soft hair with his longed gloved fingers. "You must be very strong to be alone for so long. If you are looking for somewhere to stay, I can offer you a place. I have a building in the big city of Meteorite's Cradle that had plenty of rooms for those in need. You can keep your room as cold as you like as well." He pulled his hand back, "All I would ask of you is to work at one of my clubs when your older. If you find one that suits your taste that is?" he offered with a smile and then looked up at snow started to fall again. "What was I looking for? That is hard to say. I was simply trying to take a walk to clear my mind...but I guess I got lost in my thoughts and found you."

Jacen hesitated. Club? Like a boys only club? Or no girls allowed club? Or even a 'the only girl allowed is Molly' club? The vanilite had always wanted to be in one. Or maybe it was a biking club. Maybe a reading club, or a 'lets wander off until we get lost and find strange little boys' club. "So if I want to stay, I have to join your club?" He asked, skeptically. That seemed too easy. There had to be some catch. "What kind of club is it? Why do I have to wait until I'm older? I can work now!"
Maybe if he earned enough money, he would be able to find Molly. "I was hoping for a specific place to stay," he said thoughtfully. "But staying a few nights wouldn't hurt. I'll get my own food, though. And maybe I'll work for you."

Carywn laughed softly and rested his hands on his own knees as he watched the other thinking. "Oh I am sorry I mis spoke. One of my two clubs you will have to be much older to work at but I have a club for Pokemon and Pokehumans of all ages. It has a dance floor and skate rink. And video games. A place just to relax and have fun in the city. If you can work now then I can pay you and take out a bit of money for the dorm the rest will be for you to use as much as you like. Or you can work else where too if you like." He said softly and smiled.
He stood up slowly, "Where is this specific place you are wishing to stay mister Jacen? I am sure that if you would like to just stay a few days I can let you stay for free. And you do not need to worry about working for me or paying me."

"A job?" Jacen beamed. "You'd let me work now? I want to work! I need a job so I can buy clothes and toys and find Molly. My Papa and my sister, my Molly, they left me at the house and never came back. So I ran away. But its awfully lonely. I want to find Papa and Molly, and Draven and Briar too. That's the specific place I want to stay. With them. But I haven't been able to find any of them..." he stood, stretching. "You'll really give me a job?" He asked again.
He wrapped his arms around Carwyn's middle. Maybe now he would have enough money to find Molly! And when he did, he would be able to shower her with gifts! Besides he knew a place he could get something to eat for free. He'd seen a garden full of pumpkins earlier.

Carwyn laughed softly at the bright beaming look from Jacen, "Well of course it would only be a part time job because of how young you are but yes I can give you a job to help you out." he sighed as he stood fully and nods. So this was another young man looking for his sister and family. It seemed to be a common enough occurrence for young pokehumans. "I am sorry to hear they left you and you ran away. Maybe they are looking for you as well." He gave the light colored air a gentle ruffle, "don't worry you can stay and work for me until you can find them and return to life with your friends and family." He said.
His full lips curved into a smile as he felt the thin arms wrap around him. He bent over a bit to hug the younger male as well. "I am sure you will find them and you will look good and be proud. Do you wish to see if the dorms will suit you and the job will be to your liking first?"

"Part time is good! Then I only work part of the time and the rest of the time I can look for Molly and Papa and everyone." And food! He would have to find food. The vanilite was already determined to save his money up and buy something for Molly and Colby when he found them. Maybe they would regret leaving him! "Really? Thank you!"
Jacen released his hold on the teen's waist, beaming. "Let's go!" He exclaimed. "What are dorms? I've never had a job before! Is it hard work? Don't be too hard on me, okay?"

Carwyn always did like the energy of the young. He remembered his time being a child. But it felt so very long ago. He gently ruffled the younger male's hair with his gloved hands. "Dorms are buildings with lots of rooms for people to stay. Like apartments. And I promise I wont work you too hard. Maybe you could work in the food area of Catch 'em All. The good thing is you can get free snacks from time to time. And you can work part time for sure. I would not want to tire you out so you wont be able to look for your family."
He looked at the blanket near the tree. "How about you gather up your things and we can head into down before the weather changes and we get caught out in the snow...not that you would mind I am sure. But I can not so strong against the cooler weather."

Dorms were like apartments? But what were apartments? Jacen opened his mouth to ask, when the vanilite seemed to think better of it. They must have been like small houses, he decided. "Oooh, you'd let me work in the food area?" Jacen beamed. "Okay! I like free snacks!" What growing boy didn't? "You're the best!" He exclaimed. "Thank you!"
He went to gather his blanket and teddy bear, as well as a number of apples he had carefully hidden in the snow in order to keep them fresh. "This is all I've got," he told the teenager. "But now I'm going to have a job! And I'll buy all the things I need." He took Carwyn's hand. "Don't worry. I'll protect you from the snow."

Carwyn laughed softly, "I am glad that sounds like a fun thing for you. Just don't eat all of the snacks. You have to save some for the guests too you know." He said in a big brother like manner, firm yet teasing. He watched as the young boy gathered up his things. It was not much really but at least it was something.
He smiled as the Vanilite attempted to take it had. The clothe of his sleeps and the glove blocking form full hand holding but he closed his covered finger around what he could of the small hand. "Oh will you know? Thank you ver much for the protection. I would hate to get caught up in too much snow. I get a bit slow in cooler weather being an insect and all. But you seem to be prefect for the cooler weather."

"I won't!" Jacen promised. "I'll save most of them for guests!" This was his first job! He was so excited, and so determined not to screw it up.He smiled brightly at Carwyn. "Let's go then! Don't want you getting too cold! Most bugs go away when its winter," he noted, glancing around. "You must be staying somewhere warm too."
"I am! I can even make it snow!" The vanilite boy beamed. "Cold doesn't bother me at all! Just fire. Fire is bad."

Carwyn smiled, "You are very thoughtful to save most for your guests. I am sure they will be very glad for that. And no most bugs either die or hibernate during winter. I would not be able too sleep all winter though it would be nice if I could. I do get so groggy during this time of year. I wish I had someone warm to snuggle up with." He laughed and waved his free hand, "Sorry to ramble my little dear." he said softly.
His smile grew brighter as the little one was beaming up at him, "You can make snow really? That would be such a cute little trick. Maybe we can make a nice snow when we get to the dorms and we can play in it after you see your room." He said gently and smiled, "Well you can keep your room as cold as you like, and you will not need to deal with fire. We will keep fire from you. As best I can."
He started to lead the young boy back towards the city and his dorms carrying the blanket and bear for Jacen.
