The deed, as most would say, was done. A new life placed entirely within Elnath's reach as Remarque had promised with the leap of faith she had chosen to undertake ultimately, her previous identity a small price in exchange for everything that she was now a part of. The Eternal Dark Mirror Senshi had guided her through the mirror back to the alley where she first encountered him and the guardian cat Laoise earlier in the evening at her request before taking his leave.
Waving back as she bade him a good evening and thanked him again for everything he had done for her, it was when she was alone once again, standing before the mirror from which she had emerged moments before when the sight of her own reflection reminded her that she needed to seek out another guardian cat as Remarque had prompted her to. Failing which she would not know her name. And then...
She blinked, staring beadily at herself in the mirror and the strange fuku that identified her as one of the Dark Mirror court members. Would this change that had been brought about all come undone if she failed to find one of the cats that Remarque had beseeched her to in order to learn her new name? She blinked again, chewing on her lower lip now at the realization that she should have posed that question to him before he left her to her own devices.
She knew that she had to find one of these cats alright but it was something easier said than done really. Just where and how she was supposed to go about it, she really had no freaking idea and the notion that everything she had received were possibly at stake paralyzed her momentarily with fear as she stood there in silence, at a total loss as to what she should really do next.
Aqua Drageen Here's hoping that this works for Rhys~ =3

Few things were quite as quiet as the city in the early hours of the morning, or to some, the latest hours of the night. It was because cities, at least a large metropolis such as Destiny City, tended to run on noise. Noise reflected the vibrant lives of its inhabitants, in the same way one would know a heart was beating because it made noise. But then, there were times such as these, where the vibrancy was subdued as the city's lifeblood slept. Which is why it was so exciting, Rhys thought, that she should sense a delightfully vibrant aura simply pop into existence at this hour. And even if the absolute rest of the city was on fire, giving away money, celebrating National Cat-Petting Day, or some terrible combination of them all, she would not ignore this aura. It was one of her senshi. (They were all her senshi.) As she leapt over rooftops and along balconies, the ragamuffin wondered who she would be checking in on; it was definitely a chaos aura, but that still left plenty of choices! Was it simply one of the Negaverse`s enlightened senshi powering up? That was usually the explanation behind a chaos aura popping out of nowhere, though Destiny City did have those oddities in the Dark Mirror Court. Would it be someone she had briefly encountered in the Rift before? A purr roused in the back of her throat at the prospects. Senshi out on their own usually did not explicitly need a guardian cat, though it couldn't hurt to offer her aura-dampening skills or some friendly companionship, especially for whomever was awake at this hour. “Exciting, exciting, senshi, exciting~” she softly warbled, complacent in the knowledge that if any human heard her at this hour, they would more likely pin it on drunkenness or sleep depravity than accept a talking cat. The little words quieted to a hum as she closed the small distance that remained between them. Rhys` navy and white face popped around a corner and into the alleyway where her senses told her the aura was strongest. Oh! But this one did look a little strange, even if her fuku was pitch as any Negaverse senshi she had seen. The nearby mirror reflecting streaks of harsh streetlight made her wonder, but it would do no good to assume. Rhys reached out with her instinctual Mauvian magics to get a better feel for the girl`s starseed now that she was closer. Hm, yes. Something different. There was no hesitation when she started forward again. “Hello, dear senshi!” she said, emerging from around the corner. Rhys trotted up to the girl with warmth and openness, despite a lingering uncertainty. “We haven't met yet, I believe. I'm so glad that we are meeting now! My name is Rhys; at your service.” She finished with a small twirl in place of a curtsy.

The newly awakened Dark Mirror Senshi almost jumped out of her skin when Rhys called out to then approached her. She was silent initially, tentative just as the Mauvian was with this initiated encounter before she eventually composed herself to return her greeting with a small smile and a little wave.
"H-Hello Rhys. Are you friends with that other talking cat?" She coached down to the feline's level, innately hoping that she wasn't for the other guardian had seemed pretty miffed that she had chosen to follow Remarque instead of trying to fight him off as instructed to do.
Aqua Drageen Same for me here! <3 Sorry for the tiny tag though... orz

“Other talking cat…” Rhys wondered aloud, swishing her tail like her own form of a wave. So far, with their conflicting busy schedules, she had unfortunately only come into passing contact with other Negaverse guardians. It rather sickened her to think that she knew more about that t**t Horatio than her fellows. Hairballs could be imminent if she didn’t think of something else. At least, she hoped no misguided Order guardian was trying to lead this unique chaos senshi astray. If this senshi was not familiar with guardian cats, then perhaps she was as new as her signature indicated. It was a small comfort that some qualities remained constant, since new recruits could be particularly vulnerable to the twisted dogma of Order. “Maybe!” she answered cheerfully, pressing down her concerns in lieu of her ward’s. “If they had a darker star like mine,” Rhys motioned to the star sigil on her forehead, “then it was another Negaverse guardian cat, and we are all friends!” It was true, at least in principle. Their ties were strong through Metallia. “I hope they were kind to you. A guardian should always help their senshi.” baby_gwing No judging by size here, bro. biggrin

"Negaverse?" Elnath posed, confusion apparent on her face now at the mention of yet more terminologies that were unknown to her. Stretching out a hand towards Rhys to pat the guardian on the head if she would allow her to, she peered at the star sigil on the other's forehead then shook her head a few times.
"No. Hers wasn't dark like this." Laoise's was bright in contrast which probably meant that they weren't allies and hence the other's acts of hostility towards Remarque's presence earlier on. That would make sense somewhat but she wasn't going to get ahead of herself based on groundless presumptions that she had just come up with herself on the fly.
"So um... am I supposed to have a guardian?"
Aqua Drageen What matters is progress yis? ^^;

Rhys purred with the gentle contact and leaned into the kind pats, pleased beyond the simple act itself. To her, it was a sign that the senshi was comfortable with her, that she was doing her work rightly as a guardian, that she was still could do her duty in this new city. So much was instilled in a pat. Rhys would do anything to erase the waxing confusion on this senshi's face... which was proving more difficult, given the circumstances. Running into that Order beast had probably not helped. Her anger was quickly shoved aside, however; the Mauvian was more than a little taken aback at the question! Oh, but these senshi these days. "Of course, dear senshi! All sailor soldiers have guardians," she said confidently. And, to her merit, she honestly believes that, at the very least, this should be true. "We help them use their powers and offer guidance on their journey ahead. You should stay far away from the light-star guardians, though. They belong to the so-called Order - our sworn enemies. They will only try to delude and confuse you. Be careful!" Rhys took the girl's hand in her paws, hoping it would communicate just how serious it could be. Rhys could not be with her charges all the time, but she could arm them. "And we usually help them awaken into their powers," she continued after a beat, unable to hold back some curiosity, "but perhaps you Mirror senshi have... different methods?" Rhys was still trying to wrap her mind around it herself, to tell the truth.

Now that was new.
If all senshis were supposed to have feline guardians of their own to begin with, Elnath simply had to go out there and find the one that was meant for her and everything henceforth would fall into their rightful place. "Are guardians exclusive to each individual senshi then? Or are they to be shared among a group of senshis?" The clueless Dark Mirror asked next, trying to understand for herself the role that guardians played and how they would factor eventually in relation to one from the Dark Mirror court like herself.
Nodding a few times at Rhys' advice on how to differentiate Order guardians from those allied with Chaos like her, she smiled and gave the other's paw a small squeeze to convey her gratitude. "Got it. I'll make sure to steer clear of those Order guardians then." Pondering over her next words, she produced the pen that Laoise had initially given her. "Awaken. By that, do you mean giving people who are able to become senshis pens like this one here?"
Tilting her head towards the object, she went on. "That Order guardian gave me this and told me to use it to fight off Remarque. He's the one who brought me into the mirror and turned me into this. He also said, before we part ways awhile ago, that I should look for another cat who can then tell me my new name..." If Rhys was supposed to be on her side as opposed to Laoise, perhaps she was one of those cats that Remarque was referring to and thus would be able to help her?
