Tantalus was very glad that Damocles had agreed to patrol with him. Ever since they'd powered up, he'd felt as if someone - or something - was watching them, following them. It was driving him nuts.
And the eclipse. That was the worst part. Why was the moon still hidden?
With how dark it insisted on being, it seemed like a good idea to stay on well-lit streets, where it would be easier to see.
"A dark moon, two nights in a row. If that isn't horrifically ominous, I don't know what is," the Dark Mirror commented dryly, glancing over at the blond next to him.

"Has something like this never happened before?" Damocles said, looking up at the moon. He knew eclipses could go at varying speeds... But this one seemed to have stopped all together when the moon was completely hidden. He hummed quietly to himself. "You still feel it as well... Like we're being watched." It couldn't have been another member of the court or otherwise. He couldn't sense anyone. "...Perhaps it's a civilian?" He asked, keeping his voice down.

"In all of history? Probably, at some point," Tantalus replied, and then he stopped walking and exhaled quietly. "There's something here, and I don't know what it is, and I don't like it." He reached out and took Damocles's hand without thinking - it was quite the safety charm.

"It's still very strange..." He looked towards Tantalus when the shorter man grabbed his hand. "...You're not one to unnerve easy... If this has you on edge we might be in trouble.." The blonde frowned deeply. "Let's keep moving. Whatever it is, we're doing ourselves no favors standing here."

Tantalus exhaled slowly. Damocles was right; it was hard to make him nervous. Something about this whole mess had him on edge, though. "I don't like any of this," he said. "There are too many unknowns. But...yes, let's keep going." He took a breath and walked forward, still holding onto Damocles's hand.

"I know." Damocles took their hands and linked arms instead, patting Tantalus'. "Do you think it involves the eclipse phenomena??" The blonde kept glancing about. No major head turns, just glances out of the corner of his eye using any windows or reflective surfaces to check. No need to let whatever it was know they were on to them.
...Sorta.

"I'm sure of that much," Tantalus replied. After all, this had only come after whatever had occurred at the eclipse viewing. "Let's stay on well-lit streets, hm? And perhaps see if we can get ourselves close to a mirror..." That they had that escape was perhaps the best thing about this new powered adventure.

"I'm sure there's a furniture store somewhere near here," Tantalus murmured, hanging tighter onto Damocles. As long as there were two of them, they could handle whatever it was, right?

"Maybe. Let's head that way then." Damocles patted Tantalus's upper arm. "Whatever it is, we'll be okay."

Tantalus relaxed his hold a little, looking a little embarrassed. He really didn't need to be quite so clingy, did he? "I know," he said, flashing Damocles a faint smile. "If we have to, we can call for help, yeah?" He reached his free hand up to adjust his scarf.

"What is it? Are you cold?" Damocles asked. "Ah.. I'm sorry, I can't help with that this time." He nodded, reaching and fluffing Tantalus' scarf himself. "We can regroup with others if need be."

"A little," Tantalus replied, "though fortunately this is a rather warm outfit. Which I suppose means it's going to be awfully hot in a few months." Ah well, at least he wasn't suffering too much in the cold.

"I didn't exactly pick," Tantalus pointed out, "though I do thank I look good in this. And I think I've made it clear exactly how good I think you look," his tone was playful, though he still felt embarrassed about that.
