Alright.
I've had short hair for years.
Since the 6th grade.
I got my last hair cut in.. September-ish
I decided to grow out my hair.

My hair just barely touches my shoulders when absolutly straight.
[Although my hair likes to go into natural ringlets]
I have a hair appointment this upcoming Friday, since I now have split ends, it looks ratty, and has no style what-so-ever.

I have been having the worst time finding any pictures/ideas that look vaguely Lolita, or could easily be made Lolita. My hair is at a difficult lenth ._.'

Does anyone have any good ideas/pictures for what I should do?

I'm open to just about anything.
[My hair was pink last Janurary.]
I just wish to continue to grow it out.

Thank you all

Update!
I got my hair done today!

Check it out!

Sorry if they are rather large ._.'

However, I love it ^^

Do you straighten your hair a lot? Because that will ruin your chances of having it grow out at the normal rate...and yeah.

my hair is kind of short too, and I'm trying to grow it out now. It's naturally curly too. What I do is have bangs cut across the front, and I usually just use a blow dryer and round brush to straighten them. That isn't as bad as using straightening irons, I guess, but I use those only sometimes.

It's very lolita-ish with curly hair and straight bangs cut in the front. Try some subtle layers to your hair, too. If your curly hair gets thicker towards the bottom, it looks triangle-ish, and layering helps that. Use some silky hair lotion with your curly hair and blow dry your bangs straight.

It'll look really cute as you continue to let it grow out. ^^

But it sounds like your hair is pretty short if it only reaches your shoulders when it's straight-- and it looks shorter when you let it curl. Here's a girl with a wig which I think is really cute, like of like what I was describing~

Yes, I do straighten it. Almost everyday. I have an expensive hair straightener [over $100! Eek!] However at least once a week I let it do as it pleases and just add spray, so it stays out of my face. If I let it dry without a blow-dryer, I'm lucky enough to get ringlets. When curly, it hits my jaw-bone, and even if I straighten it, it "flips up" at the ends outwards to be a centimetre or two about my shoulders. Kinda cute, but boring in my opinion. I always have my hair crazily styled so this bores me. I had liberty spikes last year, and pink hair for awhile. I'm up for anything.

When I was younger, I had bangs in the front, so I know I can potiencially suit it.
I was in the Vanilla Entourage when I came out with a breakthrough.
I'm thinking something like the picture.. and like Mana when he has it teased 80's glam-rock-ish style, but with bangs. Then maybe buying pigtail extentions ['cause my hair is just long enough for a ponytail or pigtails with spray] that I can tie in, so I can do something similiar to my Gaia hairstyle [which I'm growing this out to]. Do you maybe know of any sites for that? I'll hit Cosplay.com in a few minutes since I know they have a lovely wig selection.

My hair is pretty much the lenth of that picture when curly, but I don't have bangs.

Honestly, I'll go for anything. I've had liberty spikes.. a faux hawk.. hair down to my bottom... pink hair... I've done it all, and am not too worried about it. Again, I'm thinking of going plum purple, or re-dying it dark brown [since I have roots] and will really go any colour but black [it wouldn't suit me, and it's an icky emo fad].

Um.. yeah.
Thank you for the picture ^^
I clicky saved it.

EDIT: Oh my gosh, that site were you got the hair is ADORABLE. heart

That is soooo cute! I wonder if a style like that would look good on me ;__; My hair is naturally straight and fluffy though. I haven't had bangs since I was 10.... I wonder how I'd look with them now.....

Ah, that's a good idea. I had been thinking of doing that too, but I never got around to finding anything I really wanted.
If not there, or on ebay, then try: Doctored Locks Hair Extsension & Supply

I've heard good things about that shop, but I've not bought anything there yet, though I had been thinking about it. ^^

Eek. I think that's what's giving you all the hair trouble. You should not dye it such wonky colors. ;o;
Especially not if you have to bleach it first...

Let it have time to rest. Maybe go to a salon to have semi-permanent dye done to your hair which will match your natural color, or a little darker, or something. So it'll match as it grows out. If your hair is lighter than it will absorb the semi-permanent dye and make it stay that color longer. It's less expensive than the real stuff, and it's a hell of a lot healthier for your hair. o-o

You don't want your hair falling out when you're older, right? o.o

If you have the time and the money, have it deep conditioned. It will do wonders for your hair, and will usually help it grow out faster.

Well, I dyed it pink the january of last year, and had to both bleach and then dye it, however that has grown out.
I just died it dark brown.. this january after it had all the colour had grown out and been cut out, and I didn't bleach it before dying it the dark brown. The shade that I have it dyed, is very close to my natural colour, just a shade darker. No one notices the roots, but I do, and it bothers me when I look in the mirror.

I usually do use deep conditioning formulas, but we didn't have any for like a month D= That's another reason why it's gotten icky. We have some now though ^^

Okay, that's good. I'm glad you're already familiar with deep conditioning. Because deep conditioning is your best friend when it comes to trying new things with your hair. ^^

So yeah, keep your hair the color it is now, close to your natural color. Maybe after a while you can get subtle highlights so that your hair doesn't look all one solid color~ especially if it's curly the highlights would looks really neat. heart

And don't straighten it for a while. You'll end up with better, prettier curls if you leave it alone for a while. That's what I discovered, because I used to straighten mine all the time up until a few months ago. ^^

Right-o.
I probally may re-dye it though, although it'll kill the curls, I need to get rid of the roots. Highlights does sound like a good idea. Maybe I'll get something done that will blend the two tones and make it look more natural. The highlights may do that.

Since I don't really have to leave the house this week [Spring break, whoo!], I'll leave it be curly are much as possible.
