Mitsuru held her staff aloft, giving the Pidgey ample room to scuttle over from the tree branch and into her waiting arms. The poor dear had been with her a few days now, as had the entire flock, all patiently waiting for Mitsuru's healing help to take hold.It had been a dark day when she'd found the beaten Pidgey; bruised, bloody, and unable to fly. Now he could get around much easier, but with winter fast approaching she knew he needed to make a speedier recovery.
The teen crossed the Autumn soaked crowd, passing over rain washed leaves and skirted around frigid trees. At this time of year the forest was no friend of hers, and like the Pidgey who roosted around her she relished in the warmer days. She passed a few stones and came upon an abandoned human shrine; her new home. The holes in the roof had been fixed with large leaves and branches, the rotten steps replaced by stones. All in all it was natural; natural and safe.
"You just sleep now, okay? I'll get you better in no time." Mitsuru nuzzled the poor Pokemon's head and tucked it into the "nest" she'd made in her den. In a corner, next to a roaring fire, she'd managed to pile away as many stolen coats, blankets, and other human clothing to make a warm little bed for herself. It wasn't great, but it was good. She tucked the Pidgey in beneath the layers, smiling as it cooed and buried it's tired head.
Now, all she needed to do was start heating up her veggies and the day would be complete.

Timmy had gone further into the forest than he could remember. He had passed many spots that had struck a memory within him. He had once showed his ex boyfriend his favorite clearing, they had picnicked there. He had passed where he had once lived as a wild Pokemon. He had passed the clearing where his trainer's cabin once had been. None of this, seemed to matter, at least outwardly, to the skitty boy. He was determined to find his nephew before something dangerous did.
He figured a better approach would have been to call for the boy, but he wasn't sure he wanted to alert other Pokemon to his presence. He spotted an abandoned shrine, and paused. Was Tristan here? Could he have been the one to repair that roof?
He made his way over. If he had been thinking clearly, he would have seen that someone was living there. "Er, hello," he began, "I'm looking for a little boy." He cursed the fact that he wasn't able to describe Tristan's clothing that day. "He's got long ears. Have you seen him?"

Mitsuru hadn't expected visitors, but she wasn't put off by hearing the questioning voice outside her door. The Pidgey she had been tending stirred in his sleep, though he was quieted soon enough with a comforting stroke of his beak. She rose from her place near the fire, careless of her tattered skirt and dirtied knees while she strode to the entrance.
She was pleased, in some way, to see another Poke-person like herself. What had once been a rare occurrence was being met with some sense of regularity, and it helped to bring a kinder smile to her face. Despite the smile she must have looked like a spirit itself! Wild hair, strewn with sticks and leaves, worn clothing, with no shoes to cover her bare feet.
Still, his words caused a worried frown to replace her smile. "A little boy with long ears? I'm sorry, I haven't seen him, but I can help you look."

If he had met Mitsuru before, Timmy would have been afraid of her. The teenager had, not so long ago, been afraid of most things. Now, he wondered at the state of her wild hair, figuring she must live out here. Without a comb. "My nephew," he explained. "My niece was found somewhere in town, but maybe Tristan's found his way to the forest..." It wasn't that far, was it? "He's a minun," he added as an afterthought. " Likes to dress up. I hope he decided to be something warm today."
Timmy was grateful for the help; but maybe more than that, for the company. It was nice to be able to talk to someone outside his family. "I'm Timmy, nice to meet you."

"A minun that likes to dress up, right? I'll spread the word out." Mitsuru stepped down the make shift steps, by passed the Skitty and went to the forests edge. After a series of calls a few Pidgeys, and Pidgeots landed in the branches. "There's a little minun boy that's lost. He's got long?-" she looked back at Timmy, then back to the flyers -"long ears and likes to dress up. Could you do a search for him?"
With their chirps of agreement, she turned back to Timmy. "There's not much I can do, but hopefully they can help." She gave an encouraging smile. "It's nice to meet you, Timmy. My name's Mitsuru. Are you hungry? I can fix you something while we wait."

"What?" Timmy asked, blinking. Spread the word out? To whom? He was astonished, when he caught sight of the pidgeys and pidgeots. These were her friends? A genuine smile crossed his features for the first time in what felt like days. He was fascinated. He had lived in the forest before being adopted by Dea and fleeing to Cam's, and he hadn't made friends like this girl.
"No, that's brilliant," he said, when he realized she was speaking to him. "Thank you so much!" He was sure bird Pokemon could see more than he could, especially from the sky. "Oh. Er. If you have enough for two," he said. "Its always better to share a meal, isn't it?"

"Really? What's brilliant mean?" She wasn't used to the human language, hadn't had much experience with it, really, but it sounded nice. Mitsuru ran a hand through her hair, fluffing up the ends that hadn't been taken over by roots. "You're welcome! I hope they can find him. No one should be alone if they don't have to be."
"Oh gosh, yeah, I've got plenty. If you don't mind home grown food, that is." Mitsuru came back up beside him and grasped his hand, moving on into the shrine. "I'm glad that you stopped by, because that's exactly what I think, too. Being lonely...sucks, I think. Yeah, I think that's the word. Just have a seat...wherever!"
There wasn't much seating, just a few stolen, worn down chairs, but they were near the fire and warm.

"Er. It can mean a lot of things. But I meant 'that's great!'. It can mean bright or smart, or shiny..." Even after he had adopted Krissy, Timmy hadn't adjusted to being a teacher. It was a nice feeling, but awkward too. He nodded in agreement, he felt the same way. Especially so close to the holidays.
"I don't mind at all," the skitty teen said, smiling. Home grown was the best! He allowed her to lead him inside, marveling at his luck. Not only had he found someone willing to help him find Tristan, but someone who wanted to share a meal as well. "I can relate," he said. "I was wild for a long time." He sat obediently.

Mitsuru moved around to her food stores, which were currently being kept in an older cabinet against the opposite wall. Despite the appearance of the container, the fruit, nuts, natural roots, and berries she pulled out was immaculate.
"You don't look wild now, though." Mitsuru commented, taking her wares near him and the fire. While she sat the berries, fruit and nuts infront of him, she sat a pot on the fire to warm up an odd mixture into a sort of broth in which she placed the roots.
