The Booth is currently attended by:

a m a r u s
"Strength that does not wane is yours to achieve.
Let your chains fall away, your mind clear:
Ex Dolores, Ex Tenebris. Virtus Immaculata."

xxxxxThe Aegis booth took forever to open, despite seeming ready: its founder was not, in a manner of speaking, prepared. However, upon closer inspection, it seems as though there is now someone attending to the booth and welcoming visitors with a smile. The wood of the booth is dark, smooth, lined with a strange texture, and tiny strings of lights decorate the back, where some sort of brighter blue light pulses like a heart beat, slowly. It's hard to notice unless you are watching it change.
xxxxx The counter boasts three distinctly different features: in the center there is a game labelled GNOMESMASHERS; if you look to the right of it, there is a plate of brownies iced in a shade of blue that matches the heart of the booth; to the far left is a box and a series of cards, the box is labelled "Grievances."

xxxxxLook at the Grievance Box?
There is a writing implement that may or may not bite you, and all you have to do is fill out the blank slip of paper with something that makes you sad. Or something. It's not really clear what a grievance is, or what to do with the slip of paper, as it is blank, so all you have to go on is that one word. Leave a grievance?

xxxxxTake a Brownie?
A little tag to the side of the plate assures you that the very-sugary looking brownies are normal. Really normal. Why does it want you to know that so badly...? Stomach gurgling prompts you.

xxxxxInspect Gnomesmashers?
It's a plastic, worn-out looking game where you mash controls to make your gnome pummel the other gnome with its tiny plastic fists. It seems like Amarus was feeling benevolent, as they are not real gnomes; how sweet. The current booth attendant is likely grinning at you in some capacity as they select their gnome, the one all in black, and they tell you that every go costs pumpkin seeds. Not a lot, mind you-- why not try?

We Are: Amarus Raleigh Spinar Rosmiera

A club that focuses on two things:

xxxxxFirstly, becoming stronger, thus training in a variety of manners.
Combat styles, regular sparring, in-house tournaments.
Camping trips, classes, all manner of things that we can do as a team.

xxxxx Secondly, we are a club that will hear grievances and seek justice for those who were wronged. For a price.
Patrolling the campus for possible situations in which we can intervene.

xxxxxWe are not a gang. We have rules, and structure.
We're just here to help.
Ourselves, anyway.

[[-- Disclaimer -- ]]
This Club has been cleared for plots both personal and open to others, it is a little unconventional as such, but consequences for broken rules remain ICly possible.

There are brownies. You can take as many as you feel like paying for, and then wash it down with some pink lemonade-- the cups cost extra, however, as a small slightly hidden sign indicates. The little tag slipped under the plate indicates they are very definitely normal brownies-- do you feel brave enough to eat one?

There are stacks of unmarked cards, and a writing implement. Feel free to pick one and fill it out, anonymously.

[[OOC: Please stick to NPCs as the subject of the grievance, unless you have the other owner's permission! For example, Amarus could write a card saying: "Once I left a batch of spookies in the Ghost commons, only to find someone had eaten them while they were cooling. I hope they had nightmares." If I wanted the spookies to have been eaten by one of her friends, and say so, I'd ask their player first!]]

User ImageYou may play Gnomesmash as many times as you wish, provided each post is filled out with at least 4 sentences. Every time you win, you receive a raffle ticket towards one of two Guardian Treats depending on what record you set.
To play, roll 5d10 in one post, and match to the results. Tally up the damage to get your score, and the SUM of all your dice is the time you managed to last:

1-2: Your gnome hits with the force of a typhoon. If it was a typhoon made of pillow feathers. +2.
3-4: Your gnome feebly pushes its tiny plastic fists at the other gnome, like it's trying to inflict damage by pawing pathetically. +1
5: Nothing happens, the gnomes don't respond to commands for a brief, shining moment of peace. +/- 0.
6-7: Nothing seems to stop the onslaught of punches. Does the other gnome have a secret rapid punch?? -5.
8-9: Your gnome just got sucker punched. It seems pretty likely this game is rigged, or they are cheating. -10
10: Did the booth's resident gnome just shiv yours?! It isn't clear what happened, it was such a blur, but your gnome is just wrecked. INSTANT GAME OVER. Ignore your other results after this!

GNOMESMASHERS DEMO AHOY.

Amarus decided, out of boredom, to play Gnomesmashers against herself. Naturally, she was going to win. Still, she barely paid attention to her favourite gnome, focusing all her gaming talents on the majesty of the purple gnome.

It turned out that her regular gnome with its hideous little purple plastic face was not very happy it had been ignored. In fact, it took it upon itself to reduce the purple gnome to small bits of wrecked plastic in a flash, leaving Amarus to very contentedly reassemble it for the next student bored enough to take her on.

Final Score: 0

Mia passed by the booth, admiring the set-up. If anything, she absolutely LOVED the colour scheme, and though she wasn't one who enjoyed fighting, she could see the use of such a club.

She spotted the pink-haired ghoul toying with some gnomes and sauntered over.
"Playing against yourself, I see."

You visited! ; A; u are the best.

Amarus smiled at the familiar ghoul. She always looked so very flawless; they had entirely different skill sets, after all. Nevertheless, she was happy to see the ghoul. Amarus did not think of Mia as the soft and gentle kind of beautiful, but rather a bladelike beauty. Sharp, insistent.

"I do love to win, and I am a very good opponent-- but," she leaned closer, "I suspect I do not play fair." Her smile slowly widened. "How is the sewing booth doing? It was very bright and friendly when I was there."

Beautiful but deadly. She liked that.

Mia only smirked at Amarus' remark.
"But of course. Nothing is ever fair in fights."
This was Amityville. You did what you need to survive. And even then...

She shrugged.
"It was fine when I left it. Just people still busy poking their fingers and what not."

Cool colors. Cool name. Cool premise. Aww yeah.

Piper strode over after a resounding defeat in the arena, unsatisfied until she did some beating up of things herself. She gave her noodly arms a reproachful look like it was their fault she sucked so bad. Sigh. Gnomes it was.

She was a little confused by the the mechanics of the machine, so her gnoem was smacked about right from the start. "Oh no you don't!" she grumbled, falling on the age old practice of button mashing, her little warrior doing alright up until--

--Wh-What just happened? The mage made a face at how messed up her gnome was. The game was proclaiming an automatic loss, and she stepped back and crossed her arms at it. Great, no good at real fighting or fake fighting.

Piper turned to the booth sign and wondered . . . "Hey, um, excuse me?" she asked as she wandered up to the ghouls. "Are you guys recruiting?"

Hearing a voice, Miasma turned, arching an eyebrow at the ghoul.
"You might want to ask her instead," she replied, turning her head towards Amarus. "I don't believe I have that sort of authority."

Amarus tilted her head, bells jingling, thinking about the concept of fairness. "If you have strength, leverage, I suspect you determine what fair means, after all. How useful," she said, with a hint of fascination for a moment, as if she was only just realizing this now.

"Poking? Ahh, with the needles? I cannot say I have much of an inclination for sewing, though I am grateful that you have ... more cloth-related gift than I do," she said, which was probably the highest compliment she'd bestow all day as far as things she had no interest in went.

She was quite pleased to play Gnomesmashers with the newcomer. "You survived twenty-nine seconds with a score of two and I am quite surprised," she admitted, smiling as though Piper had done incredibly well. Honestly, the game was rigged so that most high scores would end up in the hideous negatives, so Amarus was surprised that before being sucker punched Piper's gnome had done anything at all.

"We are certainly recruiting. If you are looking for a team like no other, feel free to come to our next meeting," Amarus said. She produced a pamphlet from inside her robe. It had a picture of a table on it, on the lawn. That was all that it depicted. It was clearly the campus, and one might be able to guess where it was. The back of the card just had the Club's name, and Amarus' own name. "What shall I write down?" she asked, gesturing to the scoreboard. She was looking for a name, of course.

And she produced a little puff dragon in colours similar to the club's own, offering it forth. "Feel free to take this home with you, though you will also be entered for the Guardian Treat."

Still wandering around the booths Kier noticed the glossy wood of the Aegis table. The club looked pretty interesting and if it had been just for training she would have joined but the part about grievances lost her interest quickly. There was a better chance of her having grievances than wanting to fix others.

That didn't stop her from playing the little gnomesmasher, the entire idea of button mashing was a lot of fun despite she didn't know what was really going on. A few punches were thrown, at one point it looked almost as if he she was going to be out earlier but the game lasted a few more seconds before ending.

"That was fun," She replied before eyeing the brownies.
