So, let's hear it: how many "innocent bystanders" have you gotten to read and/or fall in love with Anita Blake?
Just something fun to think about. I've gotten at least four of my friends hooked on it.
Oh, and does anybody else get strange looks when they talk about Anita Blake in public? Lol, should have seen the look on this girl's face the other day in my English class when my friend and I started talking about Jean-Claude. . .

Let's see, I got my one friend Heather started but then she kind of lost interest. Then another of my friends did that, starting to read and then stopping. My roommate was really into Anita for awhile, even buying books instead of borrowing mine, but she doesn't like them so much anymore.
I can get people to start reading the books, but they just don't seem to stay hooked!

I have only hooked one person but I'm always trying to find more to get involved. I've ran into complete strangers in public who are also LKH fans and see me holding an Anita or Merry book and will start a conversation about it. I also get strange looks from people who don't know the series. Someone got a glance of the Incubus Dreams cover and yelled "What are you reading?!" on a crowded bus. For some reason I feel uncomfortable when telling someone I'm reading about vampires and the like sweatdrop

Just my Friend, but I have suggested to a few other people...my Mother got me hooked on them...So I can get away with making her buy them.

I got hooked by my then gf... And now I've got my now gf hooked...
I've tried getting my other friends into the series but with no real success, except for one...
I think I'm the only guy in my friend group that likes these books, everyone else is female.
I'm trying to not look too hard into that.

A friend at work got me hooked, and now I got my bf hooked and one of my best friends. Not that many, but I'm proud of myself xd

Ive tried to get two people to get hooked.Sadly one was scared off of the name "guilty pleasures" and the other just didnt like Jean-Claude

I can say I've gotten five to six people hooked. Mostly due to me uncessing chatter about Jean-Claude, Micha and Jason ^__________^ YUM!

Yup.me and badfaery usually talk about it with our friends in school and we always get weird looks.Especially when some of the lads come over to annoy us. xd Usually talk about how hawt JC is then..

I got my mother, a long time friend and my male room mate hooked on both of Hamilton's series. I started reading Anita and my mom stole the books from me to read. I have barrowed the latest books from my friend because I am broke and have yet to them for myself (I need 3 more to have them all!). Kerry, my room mate, then reades the books when I am finshed and then we return them, unharmed, to their owner. Kerry also got his best friend hooked on Anita. Smile, Sasha

Let's see...
Well, my friend's mother was the first to start reading them, and she got my friend hooked, and she got a bunch of my friends hooked, and one day, another friend just shoved Guilty Pleaures in my face and screamed "READ!"
Since then, I can think of one person I've personally gotten hooked, but through group peer pressure most of my friends have started reading them. Plus, the one person I hooked went out and hooked one of her friends, so it's like the whole link in a chain thing...

A really good friend of mine, got all of her friend's hooked. And she knows A LOT of people. Every single one of them.
