So much to do, so little time he thought to himself as he walked along. He knew that there was a lot of work to be done, he should hunt more dragons, explore more of Serenia, and otherwise enjoy the trip outside of the Celestial Plane more... and yet all he could think of was that Orderite he'd met. How he wanted to go hunt him down and drag him off for more adventures, hunting, and hide and seek. It was a thought that he would keep to himself though, not wanting for anyone else to know that he was thinking so hard on the Orderite when that wasn't what he should be doing right now. He was here for a reason after all, to get stronger and prepare for the day that he became a full fledged Dovaa by choosing a clan and devoting himself to his people. It would be a show of orbs that helped in the latter aspect of things.

Giving a pause mid step he turned to look up at a tall tree that he was passing by and everything that he had been thinking on so hard seemed to flutter away like so many leaves in the wind. Turning around the face the tree more fully he starred up at it, then gave a whistle, "Hello there." He chirped, moving to walk a couple of circles around it, taking its massive size in. Well, he could continue on his way or he could do something far more interesting! After a quick glance back and forth the Dovaa boy scurried forward and started up the tree. There was absolutely nothing in the world that he liked better then climbing trees and he just couldn't resist one of this magnitude. There were no trees back home like this and he just had to see if he could make it to the top! Maybe he could see something amazing from up there? Perhaps he'd spot lots of dragons or maybe if he squinted he'd be able to spot the Orderite? Oh! Oh! Or maybe he would see something even better! It really didn't take much for Karayan to talk himself into the climb.

"Man I can see the whole world from up here." He murmured when he was a decent ways up, walking across one of the wider branches, looking down at the ground, up toward the sky, and all around. It felt as though he could see forever from up here, making it seem as though this were the best idea ever! That was until the branch he was standing on snapped and he fell, finding himself hanging upside by his ankle in a manner that was all too familiar, "Ahhh... upside down world, so we meet again..." He said, looking from side to side, taking in this version of the world, and tried to figure out how to save himself this time. The odds of Grannie showing up were next to nil so that meant he would need to figure something else out. Hrm... now this would take some epic planning. Before any planning could occur though the boy was distracted by a trio of brightly colored Firemoths that started to circle around him, drawing his attention completely to them, "Ooooo, nice!" He said, reaching out to try to snag them with his bare hands. He should likely worry about his predicaments but he seemed to space off a lot... especially when shiny things were about.

It was a beautiful day and finally, a day to just relax from all the pressures of training and students. Kavanna had been training constantly for the past month and her quest to become a Master was so close to completion. She felt the strength that these past days in training gave to her. It was a great feeling, knowing that she was so close to being done with her requirements for advancement. She had already met with Master Ysaride, who gave her the advice to continue on a bit more and then she would finally be ready. It was such a joy knowing that, after all these years, she was almost there, so close to being there, she could taste it.

But today was a day of rest, a day that she had been needing for quite some time. She gave Naomi a goodbye hug and left the house, not really having much of a plan. She figured the Forests of Aurinead would be a good place to branch out and just relax. She sincerely hoped no students would show up at her doorstep, as much as she loved them; for she just simply wanted to rest and feel the relaxation today.

As she walked along the forest's floor looking around at all the different beautiful trees and the fall colors that were abounding by this point in the season, the Blood Moon sure did make the leaves die quickly each year, and as such, she blamed the Blood Moon for the death of the plant life.

Suddenly, the Dovaa heard a voice come from above as she walked along the path. She quickly looked up in shock, seeing another Dovaa up in the tree playing with some Firemoths that had joined him. She backed away in terror, he could fall to an untimely death! Yes, she was being that overdramatic about it today, as she saw the Dovaa all she could think about was her love for children and wanting them all to be safe from harm. What if that had been Damian? The thought crossed her mind and she instantly called out.

"Oh! Gods! What are you doing up there!? Are you alright!? Here, let me help you!" she exclaimed, summoning her vines from the ground below and shooting them like rockets up to his position, only to wrap them around the boy and pull him off of the branch, scaring away the Firemoths in the process. She then lowered the boy down to the ground, whether he wanted it or not.

"A-are you alright!?" she said, looking the boy over once or twice more to fully make sure. How had he gotten up so high to begin with? Did he climb it on his own? All these were questions that crossed the Dovaa's mind, but was put on the back burner for now. All she cared about was if the Dovaa was alright.

Kara was still wiggling his fingers at the firemoths that were fluttering around him when the sound of a voice crying out below him caught his attention. His purple eyes locked onto the woman who was standing down below him and he starred at her a moment, then gave her a smile and a wave. Wonderful! There was another Dovaa here! How lucky was he? To think that he would actually meet another of his kind so far from home he thought to himself. A moment later he found himself entangled in vines and plucked from his precarious perch, good because he'd been saved, bad because the pretty moths had left. No matter, he was sure he would find more of them later he thought to himself before he was flipped upside down and placed on the ground before the other Dovaa.

There was a moment when he was set on his feet that he swayed a little from side to side, a bit dizzy after being upside down for so long, but at least he was able to answer when she spoke to him, "Yeah, I'm alright. I tend to do that a lot." He probably shouldn't climb trees, they didn't really seem to want him up there and often tried to eject him from their branches... but it was fun! He wanted to climb them and get a better look at the world even if falling was a distinct possibility in the end. He didn't really seem too worried about that, if anything he found himself starring at his rescuer instead, studying her before asking, "You're Ysali, aren't you? My Grannie is a Firani Dovaa but I don't know what clan I am gonna pick yet." Danger had passed along with his interest in such things. Now he was far more interested in this nice lady who had used her amazing powers to pluck him from the tree like so much fruit.

His curiosity built as he asked, "Are you here hunting dragons too? I'm supposed to do so to get stronger but I got a bit distracted." His hand went for a moment to his side, finding the sheathe there empty, and he set to work searching for his bone dagger, "Ahh! There you are." He chirped, trotting over to where it had fallen, likely while he was upside down, having stuck itself into the ground. He scooped it up, wiped it off, and returned it to his sheath where it belonged. He couldn't lose that or else his Grannie would have his hide.

Kavanna was quite relieved when the boy said he was alright, and after a few moments, he seemed as chipper as could be. She let out a sigh of relief as he bounced over to pick up his dagger and a smile when he returned. When he asked about her clan and told her about his grandmother's, she replied, "Yes, I am a Ysali Dovaa. One of my brother's chose Firani as his clan. My family is full of the different clans, but we love each other no matter what."

The older Dovaa then stood straight and stretched out her wings a bit in her relief effort and then smiled down at the purple-eye'd boy as he asked his question. "Actually, I've already battled a lot of dragons this month. Today is my day off, so I'm heading to Lake Amafel to relax a bit, but I got a little distracted too by a boy in a tree." she said, giggling at the end. This boy reminded her so much of Damian when he was young. Oh how she missed being able to see him daily, but everyone had to go out and live their life, much like this boy was doing right now, away from home. Luckily she had enough students to keep her mind occupied.

"I assume you're out searching for Ysali dragons to fight, right? There are a lot here on Serenia, but you have to be quick, sometimes they're pretty skittish." she concluded with a smile, still keeping her gaze upon the Dovaa boy.

Her family was full of different clans but they still loved each other no matter what. That was a rather nice thought, he could only hope that his Grannie would feel the same if he chose a clan that wasn't Firani. Not as though the woman had ever tried to foist her clan upon him though, which likely meant that she was of a same mind as this woman? He needed to learn more about the various clans, meet more of them, before he could really decide upon what exactly it was that he wanted to become one day. At the moment he was in training so he felt that he really shouldn't worry about it. It would come to him, the clan that he just had to be a part of, when he saw it. As such why worry?

"Ohhh... you've already done your hunting then." He murmured before giving a grin, "I've done a bit though I seem to get chased around by them more then I chase them in return." He said with a laugh. He didn't mind that either, Madryn had saved his hide after all, showed him a good spot to hide out if he riled up too many dragons at once again, and overall he felt that he would be alright facing them again in the future. For the moment though maybe he should do what this woman was doing and take a day off? His Grannie likely wouldn't be amused but a day to wander around and have fun would be nice, "So where is this Lake Amafel? Is it fun there? Lots of fish and stuff?" He rather liked the taste of fish... though he didn't have a pole, maybe she could catch them for the two of them? Perking up he asked, "Can you catch fish with those vines of yours? That would be so cool!" Free fish would be nice! As well as a nice relaxing lunch with his savior... and since she seemed to know a lot about the area he could get information from her. It was a wonderful plan!

Giving a happy sound he nodded his head as she started to hand him information about the Ysali, about how there were a lot of the here but he had to be quick, "Eesh, I know that for a fact. I stabbed one in the tail and next thing I knew I was running away from that one and its two buddies." He said with a laugh, seeming as though he weren't worried about that dangerous situation just as he wasn't all that worried about having been dangling from the tree.

Kavanna laughed at the tale he told. She had been in those shoes many times before. There were so many times when she had to leave in fear of death or extreme pain, but there were other times when she conquered. "I do understand. You will fail multiple times, but you will succeed as well, just keep at it, you'll hone your skills one day before you know it and then you'll be able to conquer all the dragons, just as I have done. Just give it time and you will make it there one day." the Dovaa said, a smile upon her face.

Kavanna then pointed in the direction of Lake Amafel. "It's not too far away from here, actually." she said, beginning the trek there, listening to the boy go on and on about catching fish. She giggled at the mention of using her vines to capture the fish. "Honestly, I've never tried it, but I'm sure I could attempt. Lets go find out, shall we?" she asked with a smile.

From there, she began to walk towards the Lake slowly, listening to the boys story about stabbing a Ysali's tail. "Yes, you must be careful out here. They tend to buddy up every now and again, especially with how many students are about trying to take their land. I feel bad for the dragons. At first I was totally enthralled by killing them and all I wanted to do was collect as many of their souls as I could. Turn them all to ash. But now, more lately anyway, I've become much more aware of the fact that, even though we fight dragons to obtain their power, we should also try and befriend them. It would definitely be hard simply because of the animosity between the races, but we Dovaa are like their distant cousins. In a sense...we're almost like family to the dragons. But anyway, we need their power to prove our worth to Master Ysaride and to help master our own magical abilities. So, it's just the circle of life, I guess." she concluded, becoming rather serious towards the end as they continued their walk towards the lake.

"Heh, well I will just have to keep trying if I want to get stronger." He said, one of his pointed ears giving a little twitching before he listed to what she was saying about honing his skills so he could conquer all the dragons. That sounded fun! He wanted to do just that, to fight with all the various sorts of dragons, gather their orbs, and become a hero to his people! Of course he would need to work hard to go from being a mere apprentice to a hero... and he would need to actually focus himself better to get to that point as well. Ah well, he had time he thought to himself before he happily fell into step beside the interesting Ysali woman. He liked her he thought to himself, smiling all the while after labeling her as such.

When she said that the lake wasn't far from where they were he gave a pleased sort of sound, eager to get there. His excitement only rose when the woman said that she would attempt to fish with her vines, "Really? You'll try? Yay! I can't wait to see if you can get them!" He said, clapping his hands together in delight. He was sure that she could do it, she seemed to be quite adept with those vines given how easily she'd saved him. He bet that she could get all of the fish!

"I think the best way to deal with them buddying up like that is to find a hunting partner." He chirped, then said, "I found this cool Orderite boy while I was hunting and dragged him along with me. It was a lot more fun with him there. You should have seen the weapon he had! It was a farming tool but it was pretty scary! A pitch fork for hunting dragons! Crazy, huh?" He sad, listening as the woman talked about how she felt bad for dragons. That was an interesting way to think about it, feeling bad for them, wanting to befriend them, was such a thing even possible? Could they even befriend them when they were in need of their orbs? It really was a strange thought for sure, "Never thought of that before." He said, lifting his hands up to clasp them together behind his head as he walked along next to the woman.

Glancing over at her he asked, "Making friends with the dragons is probably something that is easier to do for those that don't fight, huh? I can't see it being all that easy for fighters to make friends with their quarry." He mused, then gave a squeak when he saw the lake, "Oh! Yay! We made it!" He said, hurrying forward toward the glittering lake, excited to get to fishing, the worries about dragons forgotten for the moment.

Can I just say that Karayan is the cutest kid ever?! XD Pretty soon Kavanna is going to want to adopt him or something LOL.

Kavanna nodded at the boy. "Mastery of your skills is only the first step. Then you have to do something with them. That's what you get to decide. To help the people of Magesc or to run them into the ground. But you're much too kind for the second option." she said giggling.

She ruffled her wings when his excitement rose about attempting to capture fish. The Dovaa laughed and nodded once more. Of course she would try, but she didn't know how well she would be able to do considering fish were slippery and her vines weren't some sort of serrated knife by any means.

Kavanna listened to the tale he told about the Orderite boy. She wondered who he was. "Pitchfork, you say? That's definitely interesting. That is rather crazy." she said in agreement, smiling down at the boy who then listened to her tale of the dragons.

"I guess so. Non-fighters would be more adept with words I'm sure to get out of fighting dragons. But I'm sure, with age, you'll understand more of what I said. I mean, at your age I was fighting all the dragons I could. But now I'm just an old lady who doesn't really care to fight." she replied with a smile. Then the boy squeaked and Kavanna couldn't help but let out a giggle at the sight she was seeing. The boy ran off towards the lake and she smiled, picking up her own pace a bit as well.

It was then that she would attempt the fish catching. She waved her hands up quickly, summoning the two vines from the ground; then looked into the water of the lake to find a small school of fish swimming together. Kavanna bit her lower lip and furled her eyebrows as to concentrate better. Then, with a quick flick of her wrists, both vines were cast into the watery lake. Kavanna began to flail her arms a bit as she felt she had captured one. Bringing it out of the lake, one of her vines were wrapped around a slimy fish, who began to wiggle and slip out. "No!" she called as the fish leapt from her vine back towards the water. Kavanna quickly flicked her left wrist to cause the other vine to attempt to catch it mid air. The attempt did nothing but slap the fish farther out into the water. The entire school, including the attempted catch, then began to swim away. All the Dovaa could do was sigh and hang her head in defeat.

Karayan gave a wide smile, "I am gonna help the people of Magesc of course! I am gonna be a hero!" He said in an excited, matter of fact manner, as if being a hero was a given. He would be the best hero there ever was, defeat all the dragons, save the damsels if the need arose, and various other 'hero' type things. Of course that was for later, right now he would just concentrate on getting to the point where he was able to be a hero. Not to mention that right now he would rather play with Madryn or go fishing with this nice lady. There were funner things that could be done after all while he was little, things that he couldn't do when he was a hero since hero had to do hero things.

"I think he was pretty cool, not really the most eager of sorts at first when it came to battle since he had chores to do, but still cool. I want to hang out with him more." He said, not really caring at all that he wasn't a Dovaa. He liked Madryn and he'd continue to play with him since he was good, crazy fun.

It didn't take long for them to reach the water, with the nice lady seeming as though she were eager to try out the whole vine fishing idea. Karayan on the other hand was more then happy to cheer her on, though quietly, so as not to chase the fish off. Her attempts were quite interesting, she tangled a fish, kind of, flicked it into the air, and them... smacked it a good ways away from where they were standing so that it landed in the water once more. Karayan blinked a couple times, starring at the distant point where the fish had touched down, then started to laugh, "Oh wow! Ahahaha! You turned that fish into a bird there for a bit! That was amazing!" He said, clapping his hands excitedly, unable to help but to be amazed at her feat. It hadn't been fishing per say but it was something far more amazing, fish launching!

"Heh, that was great. I bet you could launch all sorts of things, huh? We should some more stuff! I can toss it into the air and you can hit it!" He said, looking around before hurrying over to scoop up a couple rocks and a stick, "This will be so much fun!"

So sorry for the late response. <3

Kavanna giggled at the boys enthusiasm. Of course he wanted to be a hero. He almost seemed to proclaim it just by his personality traits. His enthusiastic approach to life was quite uplifting; after all, Kavanna wasn't used to such positivity in her own life, so this boy was a breath of fresh air.

The older Dovaa listened to the boy speak of the Orderite whom he had come into contact with. She was glad to see that the boy didn't care about race, as such racism was so popular amongst Magescians these days. Just knowing that he was accepting gave her hope for Magesc's future. She wished that more people were accepting of the other races and was glad to see this boy was.

Kavanna almost felt embarrassed by her failed attempt at fishing. Her cheeks blushed red, yet the boy seemed to be interested in whatever she had just done, and suggested almost a Magescian-like baseball maneuver instead. This she could do, and it would be good practice for her vines as well.

"This will be fun and good for my training. Being able to use the vines is quite important! But being able to use them efficiently and accurately is even more so. With that, lets begin the training!" the Dovaa called, giggling a bit. Kavanna quickly nodded and readied herself for oncoming rocks and twigs that the boy would no doubt begin to throw.

Karayan was excited over the fact that not only was the woman not upset with his suggestion but it seemed as though she were willing to try the game out! He bounced in place from foot to foot for a moment before he dropped the various things that he gathered up into a pile at his feet. This was going to be the best game ever he thought to himself as he inspected everything for a moment before scooping up the first object, a decent sized stick, and held it up, "This will be the first target!" He said, drawing back, before he gave it as hard a throw as he could, tossing it over the water, "Alright, go!" He called out, holding his breath as he watched the stick sail forward at a decent enough arch away from the bank and toward the crystal clear water.

The way he figured it was likely best that they do it that way, it would be less of a risk that a random rock or stick would get knocked through the air and come down on someone if she was knocking them out over the lake. At least from where they were standing now it didn't seem as though anyone was out there after all meaning that they wouldn't be sinking any ships today... which was always a bonus. Though he had to admit if she was able to hit a stick hard enough that it would sink a boat he would only be impressed with her strength. It was one of those thoughts best kept to himself though, not sure what she might think of such a random thought coming from him.

With a calm demeanor, Kavanna stood tall as she watched the stick fly forth from the boy's hand over the water. A quick smirk grew upon her face and she let forth one of her vines, which quickly made impact, sending the stick flying through the air harder, until it landed in the lake a bit farther away from them.

"This is good, really good. I should also try with my leaves, which I have less control over after throwing them. So accuracy can be built up by slicing through some sticks, or cutting rocks in half. Can I try that?" she asked with a smile. It was being left up to the boy, whichever he would feel "looked cooler" she would do, but it would be much harder for her to succeed with her leaves than with anything else.

She stood, rather excited actually, waiting for the boy's response.

Karayan's eyes went wide once more when Kavanna spoke of using leaves to hit the sticks and rocks as well. The idea of her being able to slice a rock in half, now that was something that he just had to see! Nodding rapidly he went through the various objects that he'd gathered for a moment, seeming to be looking for just the right thing before he picked up a rock, "This one first! This one first! I so want to see you cut a rock in half with a leaf!" He said in an excited manner, nearly bouncing from foot to foot. Yes, this was a great game! Not to mention that it was also one in which the Dovaa woman was getting to practice with her amazing magic, it was win, win really if you asked Karayan.

"Alright! Here we go!" He said in an excited manner before he threw the rock as hard as he could, again choosing to throw it over the water for safety purposes. As much as he'd love to just throw it straight up into the air so that he could see the results of her leaf chopping it in half he felt getting hit in the head with a rock wouldn't really be doing him any favors. One near miss when it came to a head wound was more then enough for him for one day.
