The park was fast becoming a personal favourite of Amethyst whenever he found himself just about short of meeting the monthly energy quota that the Negaverse had set for his rank. The bars and side alleys were prime spots to search for potential targets as well, but he very much preferred the tranquility and paucity of people at the park at night which went hand in hand with the way he tended to go about the task at hand.

Tonight's target was a homeless man who was trying to get some shut eye on the park bench when the Lieutenant found him. A hand pressed firmly over his mouth quelled any sounds of protest that the other might make as the Negaverse agent went about the energy draining process, his struggles weakening in direct proportion with the growing size of the energy sphere and it was only when he stopped moving entirely that the young blond pocketed the ball of energy and moved his hand to the other's neck to check that he still had a pulse.

After all, he only needed the civilian's energy, not his life force. Plus he was no murderer. Not at this point... yet.

I hope that this works. Feel free to have Aludra witness everything or part of it or none at all. ^^

Aludra hadn't seen how it had started, but she had followed the waves of dark energy she now knew belonged to the Negaverse, only to find the owner leaning over the still body of another man. She should just leave it be, a little voice whispered, but she shoved it away viciously and leaped in to help. The Negaverse was dangerous, but that didn't mean she shouldn't help someone in need.

"Stop!" The chibi landed nearby with a shout, trying to look as confident as possible as she pointed at her new enemy. "What are you doing? Leave that man alone!”"

There was an Order signature closing in on Amethyst's current location. One that puzzled him some since it wasn't anything like that of the Senshis or Knights he had encountered prior. It was only when he heard the voice of the chibi and turned to regard her when he finally understood why. He had no idea that the enemy could rope in... children to their cause.

"I ain't doing anything really." He gave the young Senshi a small smile, deciding that he would play innocent to gauge how much she had managed to witness of his actions as he slowly moved his body aside so that she could see his fingers that were still pressed to the other man's neck. "Other than checking his pulse to make sure that he's alright since he was unconscious when I found him. See?"

Ruriska
Lol... it's not bad at all really. No being hard on yourself and Aludra!muse <3

The smile disarmed her.

It wasn't as if she actually knew what he’d been doing. She had simply judged it as bad on the energy she had felt. Her arm dropped down.

Aludra teetered on the edge of differing beliefs, before firmly settling on one side. The girl offered a small smile in return, stepping forward. "And is he okay?"

Order and Chaos. Two sides of the same coin represented by both Amethyst and Aludra as they stood before each other. They didn't have to fight. The Lieutenant was more than happy to avoid conflict if he could. Besides, it wouldn't be fair if she did decide to turn aggressive on him. It would feel akin to kicking a little puppy around. Not that he was belittling the Chibi Senshi or the ability that she possessed though. It just wasn't something that sat entirely well with him altogether.

"His pulse is strong which means that he isn't in any danger of losing his life at the moment and will likely wake after he had slept off whatever caused him to land up like this." He explained, his hand returning to his side as he turned to regard Aludra proper, the smile that he had from earlier on still very much in place while he introduced himself politely with a slight bow. "And who might you be little missy? Lovely evening to be out and about isn't it? I'm Lieutenant Amethyst of the Negaverse."

She was supposed to be wary. Aludra knew this, but she hadn't found the cruel person she had anticipated. Instead he was smiling at her, as if they were already great friends and it was in her nature to react in kind.

"I’m glad." In response to the bow, she curtsied, but could not hide the small flinch when he said the words Negaverse. "Sailor Aludra, Chibi Senshi of Pathways." It felt right to give a proper introduction, to announce her position on the side of good.

"He probably drank too much…" Aludra offered, looking at the unconscious man. She often saw people like him scattered around the park on her nightly patrols.

So easy, get with it Aludra.

"As am I to be honest Aludra. As am I." Based on his own observations that it was highly unlikely that the Chibi Senshi would pounce on and attempt to pummel him till he was black and blue all over, Amethyst let his guard down some, his poise relaxing as he nodded a few times and took a step away from the unconscious civilian, content to leave him be on the park bench without making further physical contact.

"That is definitely a possibility. Probably best to leave him be to recover from the effects of the alcohol on his own lest he turned aggressive on us when he gets woken up prematurely." He went with Aludra's proposition, adding a gentle word of caution with the intent of discouraging her from approaching the civilian to see for herself if he was indeed drunk as she thought he might be. His expression shifted to one of pensiveness next, his demeanour still non-threatening yet tentative as he gently broached the next topic to see how much she was willing to let him in on what she already knew about the faction that he served.

"I suppose... that your lack of questioning as to what the Negaverse is means that you've heard of or run into one of my fellow officers prior?"

Ruriska
She's so cute. x3

Aludra nodded in agreement. She didn't want to get any closer to the unconscious man and since she could see he was breathing, or at least she thought he was, she was content to follow the older boy’s advice.

For someone of the most nefarious Negaverse, this guy was as non-threatening as you could get. Other than the aura that still prickled her nerves, she could see anything about him that suggested he could be dangerous, and she especially liked his big blue eyes.

Looks could be deceiving, she warned herself.

"I've heard of it," she admitted, "and it wasn't good. I was told you hate senshi and want to hurt them." She watched his face, waiting for a reaction.

I'm gonna set this for before her big Negaverse zoo battle. So next time they meet, she'll have something to say to him about his team mates!

"And from who, may I ask, did this piece of advice come from?" There was nothing that Amethyst could do about his own aura really. The tainted signature that identified him clearly as an agent of chaos a stark contrast to that that the Chibi Senshi gave off. What he couldn't do a thing about, he tried to more than make up for with his words and how he presented himself to the younger Senshi.

"While I can't speak for everyone in the Negaverse, I can vouch for myself at the very least that that is not my sentiment or intention towards you and your kind, Aludra." The fact that she was willing to approach and listen to him despite what she had been told prior was already a point in his favour in itself. He worked with what he had, knowing full well that his own conscience was clear since he hadn't encountered many on her side by far, giving her a kindly smile as he remained where he was and tried to rationalize with her.

"Surely we ought to be reasonable and try to discern for ourselves if what we've been told is indeed true and applies to all or a select few that your friends have unfortunately come into contact with, hence the conclusion that they've come to." He wasn't for hurting one as young as herself and he sincerely hoped that there would never come a day when he would be ordered to hurt much lest kill one as innocent and likeable as her.

Ruriska
And put him in a pinch for a bit cos of all the awkward. Looking forward to that Ruri dear! x3

It wouldn't hurt to tell him the truth.

"Another chibi. She seemed pretty sure about it too." In fact, there had been something haunted in her eyes that Aludra didn’t like to think about too much.

Aludra crossed her arms over her chest, but she was listening and her expression grew lighter with every word. Every thing he was saying did make perfect sense to her. Just because someone had a bad experience, didn’t mean everyone else would. People weren’t all the same.

"My name is Aludra."

With that she gave him her trust, certain he wouldn't harm her.

"I see. Did she also tell you the purpose behind the power which you've been given? How long have you been a Chibi Senshi?" Amethyst questioned, his gaze focused on Aludra for a bit before he started looking around so as to locate the nearest park bench towards which he inclined his head and gestured with his next words. He might not harbour any intention of inflicting bodily harm upon her but that didn't mean that he wasn't going to try to find out more about her and the faction that she represented.

"Why don't you have a seat? I can remain standing right over here if it'll make you feel more at ease with my presence." Opting for a more conservative approach, he offered to remain where he was, at what one might deem to be a safe distance from the park bench that he had just pointed out to her. It was after all better to gradually earn her trust and have everything spelled out explicitly between them rather than assume wrongly otherwise on his part and risk ruining whatever progress he had been making with her by far.

Aludra pressed her lips together when he asked the next question, just to stop from answering straight away. She almost didn’t want to admit how long she had actually been a senshi and she knew her reasoning was flimsy at best, even if she believed it wholeheartedly. She made her may over to the bench and sat down with a prim fixing of her skirts.

"A few weeks…" she finally replied, "and you can sit down if you like, I don’t mind." She smoothed out the red fabric of her clothes. "The purpose is to help people and protect the innocent." Aludra eyed Amethyst, searching for some shred of the evil she had been warned about. "So what is the Negaverse exactly?"

"Will do then. Thank you." It might seem like a small gesture but Aludra's willingness to let Amethyst, a Negaverse Lieutenant, sit right next to her was testimonial of the budding trust that she was starting to harbour towards him and he took personal pride in his progress. Crossing over to sit himself down on the park bench, his expression became thoughtful at her question.

"The Negaverse, to put simply, is a military organization. Our purpose is exactly the same as yours to be honest." He shared, one of his hands lifting to scratch lightly at the back of his head as he proposed sheepishly a reason behind why some people might have a different impression of the organization that he served. "... though I guess that some misunderstandings might have come about because of the ways that some of my fellow officers have chosen to present themselves after the rigorous training that they've been through to help ensure that they're fit to take on the arduous task at hand."

He genuinely believed in the goodness of the cause that he wholeheartedly served. It was really a great misfortune that some people couldn't see eye to eye with the means to which some of his comrades were willing to stoop to in order to achieve what they had all set out to do.

Aludra sat with her hands held neatly in her lap, her head tilted forward and to the side to watch Amethyst as he spoke. She looked very much like the attentive schoolgirl.

"I see…" she had when he had finished speaking, but she certainly didn't look convinced by his explanation. It didn't make sense for two groups who wanted exactly the same thing to be fighting. If they weren't enemies, they should be friends and helping each other out.

"Your organization should probably do something about that then, or no one will want to work with you." If somebody was being mean at school, the teachers were always quick to take them aside and let them know it wasn't the way you behaved. "And why do you need to train? I didn't train for anything and I help people fine."

It went without saying that Aludra wouldn't be able to see for herself just yet that things in the adult world worked very differently from whatever she had gone through in her life thus far. Well, no matter. Amethyst would just have to come up with something to aid her understanding which was exactly what being in Infiltration was about more or less. "We're working on it. Slowly but surely. In fact, some Senshis have even chosen to join our cause after seeing for themselves what we've achieved so that surely has to count for something."

He smiled at her, his demeanour sincere while he patiently elaborated next on the necessity for proper training to be incorporated upon every officer's induction into the Negaverse proper. "Well, that's because the Negaverse is an army hence the need to ensure that all our officers are physically fit and duly equipped with an appropriate skill set in order to protect ordinary civilians from impending danger. It wouldn't do if for instance, someone grossly obese who couldn't run round the block without having to stop to catch his breath, came forward to chase a thief that had just made away with your money. Right?"

A simple analogy that even an ordinary civilian on the street could easily relate to should work fine in the Chibi's case. Even if it didn't, he supposed that he could always come up with something else on the fly depending on her response next.
