Ara's time on Serenia was coming close to being over. One last trip had been made with her mother before she was to set off to explore by herself. Her fingers gripped the paper she had swiped off of a bulletin board a few paces back. Ara's eyes scanned the paper as the wind blew past her and fluttered the worn edges. "Training, huh?" Ara memorized the location quickly enough and set off for her new destination. Her mom would be a little while longer on her tasks and so Ara had some time to kill.
A frown set in on her face as she thought back to her most recent dragon battles and her skills in magic. She needed practice and what better way than another Dovaa? Ara wondered, as she made her way through the city, what clan the one named on the flyer would be. Ayrala, maybe? She hoped this was the case so she could talk about her clan with her.
In the end, though, it didn't really matter as long as she had someone willing to help her learn how to control and use her magic better. Someone to teach her. She let out a nervous breath as she finally found the house that had been indicated on the flyer.

"Oh, hello there. Are you lost?" the Ysali Dovaa asked with a surprised look on her face and basket in arm. Eying the girl over, she realized that this could be a potential student. Younger, perhaps almost her son's age as a matter of fact.
The Dovaa's shocked expression faded into a warm smile as she looked at the girl, rather hoping that today could be more about training than her errands and gardening. Kavanna stood there silently and patiently, awaiting an answer from the younger Ayrala Dovaa.

Ara's eyes trailed over the Ysali dragon that had stepped to the front of the house. Her shoulders sagged at that. She had so hoped for another Ayrala Dovaa to help her better train her magic. She would take what she could get, however. Ara knew that training and practicing her magic were the key to becoming a better fighter. It had to be done whether it was with a Ysali or an Ayrala Dovaa. She shook her head, sending her hair flipping around at the question. "I've come for the training." Ara lifted the hand with the crumbled flyer. "I found this in town and thought I'd investigate." She hesitated as uncertainty washed over her. Reaching up, she tugged at her hair. "Are you...the one that put these up? Please tell me the offer still stands."

"My name is Kavanna. So, tell me a bit about yourself before we begin." the Dovaa asked politely as she gracefully walked towards the water.

Brolis You actually get to go first with Kav because you rolled higher. xP "My names Araceli. Ara for short, if you like." A small smile spread across her lips as she followed Kavanna's gesture out to the ocean. A pleasant sight and one of Ara's favorite things about Serenia. She had had her first battle with another Magescian on the shores of it's ocean. Granted, it had ended rather quickly with not much training being had to begin with. Shaking her head, she dislodged those thoughts of that day and focused on what was happening then. Ara gave a quick, sharp nod of her head and followed in the footsteps of the older female Dovaa. "About myself?" Ara's head tilted to the side as she thought about this task. "I"m not very good at telling about myself." She tugged at one of the bundles of hair that fell to the front and chewed on her bottom lip. "I, uhm...I just made it to Adept stage not too long ago. I'm an Ayrala Dovaa." She looked up at the other female as she said this. "You're Ysali, aren't you?"

"Well congratulations on making it to Adept. Your training is far from over, but you still have your whole life ahead of you. Mmm, yes, I am a Ysali. I chose it because it is the bringer of life. Ysali are always looked down upon as being weak. I don't see the fact that bringing new life and growth into something is a sign of weakness, but that's up to the opinions of each individual, I guess." she rambled. It was always so hurtful to know that everyone looked down upon the Ysali clan without giving them a chance to prove their worth.
Finally, the two reached the edge of the ocean, and Kav spoke up. "Alright, so you stand here and I'll go over there." she said, spreading her wings and gliding quickly to the desired location.
"First, I'm going to use Reflection Shield. I bought it from Arick Skyeforge, have you ever heard of him? He's a traveling Gaili Dovaa that sells his wares around the world. Now that you're an adept, you should visit him and go shopping some, or find someone who has this spell book in their arsenal to give it to you, because it can be a lifesaver. I always use it first just because, as you may have gathered from my earlier speech, I love life and growth, not death and destruction. So, I cast the shield upon myself and...well, you'll see what happens when you hit me." she said, taking a deep breath and then whispering the magical incantation. "Lufunay Maau." It was then that the light green opaque honeycomb shield began to materialize around the Dovaa.
"Now begin!" Kavanna called, standing straight up, arms caressed gently in front of her, a smile upon her face. She was ready.Attack and Defense Reflection Shield - This short manual teaches the user how to create a solid shield of magic which reflects all incoming magical or physical damage once. Once cast, the shield remains up until a successful attack connects and the spell cannot be cast again that battle. Damage returned to attacker is their original damage. Opponent's block/ward do not apply. In a multiple vs one situation reflection shield will only reflect the attack of the first opponent to land a hit, all other successful opponent's hits that round will land as normal. :: 40 :: Astral Magic

Taking a deep breath she concentrated on Kavanna. Her eyes focused in on the honeycomb shaped shield that seemed to be appearing out of thin air in front of the other Dovaa. Ara took another deep breath, her heart beat speeding up as the wind around her began to swirl and whip her hair in the direction of Kavanna. Ara let the breath, she had been holding, out. As she did so, she forced the magic that had been gathering around her out. Small bursts of what seemed like sharpened air spit out from around Ara and hurtled towards Kavanna. Attacks and Defense 26-45: 25% DamageWindfury - (27 x 10) x .25 = 67.5 1-25: 10% DefenseDodge - (18 x 5) x .10 = 9 Wind Aura - (27 x 10) x .10 = 27 ((So...how does relfection shield work? She grunted as she tried to catch her breath. At least having the attack returned to her showed her that she had at least some strength when it came to fighting. As Kavanna raised her arms Ara flinched, not sure what was going to happen next. A warm feeling raced through her as she felt the injuries to her body quickly healing. Of course she would heal her. They were training, after all. A small smile returned to Ara's lips as she realized that the shield was down. Again, she concentrated her wind magic and let forth her windfury attack towards Kavanna. Attacks and Defense 1-25: 10% DamageWindfury - (27 x 10) x .10 = 27 66-80: 75% DefenseDodge - (18 x 5) x .75 = 67.5 Wind Aura - (27 x 10) x .75 = 202.5

Tangled Puppet No damage done to Kav then. xD Though remember to take into account +/- when it comes to battling. Ayrala are strong (x2 damage) to Ysali. :3 So it really did 54 damage, but Kav's damn defense obviously kicked in nicely for her last round. xD I really don't want Kav to attack her, so I'm just going to heal her up now lol. Because what kind of learning experience would a young girl get being pummeled into the ground by someone twice her age. xD So once you start your RP, I'll respond to it. :3 I just wanted to continue the cycle before the time runs out. The tiny scrapes left behind by her wind healed almost instantly. The healing capabilities of the Ysali would never cease to amaze her. With a huff of air she glanced back up from her arms and over to Kavanna. Great? How was she doing great? She hadn't even managed to hit her. Though she supposed that was the point of this little exercise. She needed the practice. Needed to learn how to maneuver around obstacles that might be put in her way. She twirled her wrist, fully intending to send a tornado grade whirlwind flinging towards Kavanna. However, when she stepped forward, the wind caused the sand to shift beneath her feet and she flung too early, the tornado dying down before it even reached Kavanna.
