You have my sword. And my bow. And my axe!
Bowl's Name: - Tweedle Bandersnatch Airay. Goes by Snatch. Her Weapon (If she has one, if not, explain why): - Knives. For throwing or hand-to-hand, she likes them all. The kunai is her favorite. Like her fathers she also has a weapon that can change into a gun. If she gets a weapon like they have it'll be that, if she doesn't then it'll be a special kunai knife that she keeps on her person at all times. Her Magic (If she has any, if not, explain why): - Wonderland magic | Being able to change a single particular weapon into a gun form is one of the things Snatch can do. She can also create weapons that come literally out of her body, making her a walking arsenal. The drawback is the price, paid with magic, flesh, and blood. Once the weapon forms, be it full or partial, it cannot return to her. Snatch has to ration herself or else she'll use herself up and die. Color magic | Indigo (purple base with blue overtones) with silver sparkles. Snatch is a plotter with a twisty turn of mind that makes it hard to figure out just what she's thinking. It's very difficult to trick her. She's likes to hide in the wings rather than take the stage Brief Personality Description: - Snatch is a thief. She likes unusual or interesting trinkets and has a lust for riches in general, but she loves it most when there’s a risk involved and the scent of a challenge is in the air. You can’t be the best if you don’t beat the best. You might not believe that of her if you’ve only ever observed her, though. She comes off as lazy or uninterested, and not by accident. It suits Snatch’s purposes perfectly for others to underestimate her. If you could crack open her head to peek inside you’d find layers upon layers of plots. She’s opportunistic, yes, but not obvious or greedy, and what might seem like a missed chance could actually be just another step to bring her closer to something she wants even more.
Snatch’s idea of a game isn’t nearly as bloody as the rest of her family, but that doesn’t make it any less deadly. She likes to move people around like pawns on a board, having them do most of the work so she can skulk in the shadows and reap the benefits. Don’t take it the wrong way if she swoops in to save you; if she didn’t think you could be of any further use to her she’d let you die in a second. Also, don’t make the mistake of thinking that because Snatch gets others to do the dirty work she can’t fight for herself. She’ll slit your throat for you…after she’s finished playing. Just because she plays her own game doesn’t mean she did learn a thing or two from her parents.
How do you think she'll relate to her family members?: - Well Snatch "loves" all of her family, not so much because she puts a premium on family ties as because they're all useful to her in some way or another. She does genuinely care for them in her own special way, though relating to them is another story. Her fathers: An adult can't think as a child does. A child can't scheme as an adult does. Snatch is always very careful when she involves her fathers in anything she does, because they have the potential to be highly unpredictable. Of the two, Dum is the one she feels she can relate to most given his liking for money, but is the one she trusts least since she feels this makes it more likely he'd "betray" her by messing up her plots. She can also relate to how the two look up to those who would benefit them since she does the same. Snatch is always watching her fathers and will view them as a chief source of learning. Her mothers: Her mothers are total opposites, but easier to understand. Of the two she relates most to Keris. In Snatch's mind they actually share a lot of similar drives, but Snatch is a passive blue to Keris' active red. In fact out of all her family Keris is the one she treads lightest around, as she believes Keris is the only one who could truly unravel her plots. As for Marise, Snatch just cannot relate to her at all. She's willing to give up everything of herself for nothing in return. Who does that? Relating aside, Marise is the family member of whom Snatch will be the most protective, for a healer is highly valuable and Marise does not have a clock like the rest of them. Deep down Snatch respects both women, and thinks of them as powerful in their own ways. Her siblings: Another case of opposites, each with their own use to her. Snatch relates best with Bale; in fact, next to Keris he's the one she relates to most in the family. She's just a bit more selfish than he and fights for her own cause, whether it's just or not. Both share a quieter front compared to the rest of the family. Snatch sees him as a more mental challenge, and may learn to tread as lightly around him as she does Keris. Adze is more straightforward and easier to understand. While not considered much of a mental challenge, Snatch enjoys playing "games" with her to keep her own skills as sharp as her blades. They aren't the type of games Snatch herself likes to initiate, but she finds she greatly enjoys "playing" with Adze over anyone else. Snatch is passively protective of both her siblings since they show the potential to be strong and useful, but rarely interferes with them since she knows they can handle themselves without her help. What are your goals for her? What will she do once she's grown?: - Right off, I think family roleplay will be in order from whoever I can get it from. Aside from just being new to this world, roleplay helps a personality settle in my head, and interaction with family will help settle how the character feels about them. I want to work on my understanding of the world and grow into it with Snatch. Her color magic is a little vague and unformed right now, I'd love to see her grow into that. I want her to make a few visits to Outside so she can see the differences between the two worlds and grow as a character. What interests you about this family, and what are you looking forward to?: - All of it! The color magic system just intrigues me to no end. All the intricacies and insanity of Wonderland and the way they can be meshed together is so interesting that it's like staring into an abstract piece of art. I don't get the opportunity to try making characters like this very often, so it's quite exciting!
In Character Prompt Response: - Snatch sat with her back pressed again the rough bark of a tree, meticulously examining the razor sharp edge of one of her favorite kunai. Satisfied that her blade was as sharp as ever she began twirling it around, humming a response to a comment Marise directed at her. She was spending quality time with her mother, rather poor quality time if the soft sighs were any indication, but even if the two had had a great deal in common Snatch was more of a observer than a participator. She tried to pay a bit more attention as Marise launched into a story about her sister who lived Outside. In the middle of the story (Snatch had to admit Semira sounded interesting) Marise's voice suddenly trailed off. Snatch looked up to see what had caught her mother's attention, and found Marise looking off in the distance with a frown of concentration on her face. She suddenly stood and started towards the spot with hurried steps. Curious, Snatch stood and followed at a slightly slower pace.
She came up Marise kneeling on the ground next to a bloodied and limp bundle that might have been male. Snatch was impressed that whoever it was appeared to still be breathing and wondered if she knew the person who'd so artfully cut him up. He were so covered in blood that she didn't notice his wounds beginning to close until Marise suddenly swayed on the spot. Alarmed, Snatch reached out just in time to catch Marise as she fainted.
With a small huff of impatience Snatch loaded her mother onto her back. "Silly woman," she murmured to no one in particular. "Why would you care if so much for a stranger to risk your own self?" Marise mumbled inarticulately, like a child in a fitful sleep. Snatch's expression softened and she shook her head, making sure the female was secure on her back before heading back in the direction of the mansion. She left the stranger where he lay; she wouldn't harm him herself out of respect for Marise, but if the fool was too weak to hold on to the life Marise had handed back to him then he would be better off dead anyway.

I know this tune!
Username: jinxgirl5 Bowl's name: Tristan Pubert Bloo-Pardus Personality: On the surface of things Tristan seems to be a very normal, bland guy. Neither too energetic nor too dull, too outgoing nor too reclusive, too cultured not too boorish. He's a friendly guy, quick to smile and always willing to participate no matter what the activity. It'll take a bit of interaction and observation to figure out what Tristan personally is like and enjoys. For starters, he has a wide variety of interests and it's hard to shock him. He doesn't seem to have any kind of preference in conversational topic, but he will reference anything and everything no matter how remotely related it might be, as long as, in his mind, there's relevance. For example, he can talk about cutesy sparkly ponies and recite a list of the most morbid executions throughout history in the same breath without so much as a twinge.
Tristan is territorial about those he considers "family", be they actual family or just friends he considers close. He displays this through passive-aggressive behavior, since open confrontation just isn't his style but he's more than willing (and able!) to make an interloper highly uncomfortable until they go away. It can be considered annoying or endearing, or equal combinations of the two. Because he can be so blasé about most things it's hard to find a way to get back at him in return, but he does have his buttons. Touching, for one, is something Tristan rarely instigates and doesn't often seek out, so he's highly sensitive to and easily flustered by touch. Views on your family? Father: His father helps him achieve balance in his life. Like Tristan isn't a huge swimmer, but something about Dagda's energy and encouragement always seems to make him willing to give it another shot. Life is full of simple pleasures and is meant to be enjoyed, and Dagda helps remind Tristan of that. Mother: Tristan adores Avani. She has such a wide variety of knowledge and he shares her love of reading. He can spend hours sitting side-by-side with her, each of their noses buried in a book. It delights him whenever she reads aloud to him, knowing she's a bit self-conscious about her stuttering but ignoring it to share something she finds interesting with her son. Litter mates: Tristan is mildly possessive of his sisters and will be the first to back them if ever they need it. He doesn't mind Ophelia's love for the gloomier side of life; in fact, he finds it fascinating. Morticia's habit of talking to (apparent) thin air doesn't bother him either. It actually makes quite a bit of sense to him, though he doesn't say why. Other sibs: Tristan isn't really sure how to handle Marduk; that brother is a whirlwind that makes even Dagda look calm. Thoth is a puzzle to him. The same can be said for Waka, Teles, and Varuna. All-in-all he doesn't know most of his older siblings that well, but he still feels a sense of familial fondness for them. RP entry: Tristan looked on as solemnly as only a kit can appear while his sister had a conversation with the stranger. He wasn't much of a talker himself, and the stranger had come up to Morticia to chat, not Tristan. Besides, he couldn't hear anything the stranger was saying. It didn't look like Morticia was having much fun either. She'd been chatty enough, but now she was frowning like she understand what the stranger was telling her.
"Okay, I will," she chirped, then turned to look at her brother. "Hey Tris, the voice says quit staring. You're making him uncomfortable." She gave him an expectant look. Tristan blinked, then shrugged and decided to head back home. If the stranger was bothered by his being there and Morticia was enjoying their talk, it would be best to leave. "Okay, now where exactly am I supposed to look for this thing you lost," he heard behind him as he walked. A few adults out enjoying the last days of sunshine by the river turned and looked at his sister strangely.
Tristan was used to the stares and whispers by this point. When they were really little his parents couldn't understand why Morticia would talk to thin air, or why Tristan would stare at that same air as though he was actually seeing something there. Why he would sometimes just start crying like he was terrified when he had been perfectly normal a moment ago. It was actually Ophelia who figured it out first, and helped him deal with it. She was oddly reassuring in her own way. Tristan was seeing dead people.
Not all of them were scary. It was just that he saw them as how they looked when they died, and some were pretty gruesome. It had taken a while to get used to, but now he was quite matter-of-fact about it. Morticia's new friend, for example, had a gaping wet hole in his chest about where the heart should be...
Tristan paused to remove a pair of glasses hanging from his neck and shove them on his nose with a sigh of relief. These were his special glasses. Momma had made them back when he still screamed about seeing bad things, telling him that they would make the bad things vanish. As long as Tristan had his glasses, he didn't have to see all the dead people. When they weren't scary they were kind of annoying, following him and trying to talk to him even though he couldn't hear a word they said. Still. He pushed the glasses a bit further up his nose and continued walking. He didn't want to have to rely on these. He wanted to grow up big and brave, not a scaredy-cat!
Pretty much a look into his kit life. As an adult spirits won't scare him anymore. I'm assuming it's dead people Morticia talks to. If he doesn't have glasses as an adult, I'm gonna just make them a thing he had in his childhood but doesn't need anymore. Whether you want Avani to have magicked them for real or not is up to you, but I figure they were like a placebo that helped his brain shut down his power, so when he looks through them he can't see the dead. I figure this is where his reluctance to touch can have gotten it's start; some dead people would look the same as normal people, and maybe he touched a couple of them by mistake before he finally just instigated a "No touching at all" rule. He can't hear the dead at all, will probably leave it that way for now.

WE HAVE ENOUGH LOVE TO GET US INTO TROUBLE! Adoption Forms:
Proof of Lifemating [ click ] (It's on that page, though you might have to scroll around a bit depending on where the link spits you up at...)
Giving the gift of....: Cute Halloween! Well, you know, it is getting close to that time of the year, so it seemed appropriate. They didn't know what gender their child would be, so they picked out a dragon plushie. It's something nice to snuggle with, and should please either a boy or a girl!
Child's Trouble/past : The bowl was found in a swamp notorious for spooky happenings. Whether or not it originated from an inhabitant or was left there will probably never be known for sure; the bowl itself looked more like a bad craft project. Ironically the child is terrified of ghosts and is easily spooked. Well, the inhabitants of the haunted swamp are also known for their love of pulling pranks on the unsuspecting, so it's probably nothing a little therapy can't fix! After all, possession or curses are quite rare...
Future rp storyline : Starlight and Sarah are both very open-minded and not easily freaked, so I'm thinking they'll work with the kit to overcome its fear of spooky things. Over time I see it getting better, but ghosts or anything ghost-like still freak it out. It'll freak a bit when it meets its new uncle for the first time, since James is also transparent. I want do see the kit first, so I can fashion a backstory about its time in the forest as a bowl and link in a reason as to why ghosts specifically freak it out the most. My plan in the end is to have it discover it possesses a magic ability that ties in with ghosts in some way. It would make the kit (and eventual adult) all kinds of comically distressed as it tries to muddle through its fear in order to learn. Star and Sarah will be there as support the whole way. I do see it eventually wandering off on its own as an adult, but still keeping in touch with family since they make it feel strong and safe. I definitely want it to make a lot of spooky-themed friends, like a second family it can wander with when not with Star and Sarah. It would be especially funny if it could make a friend that freaks even Star and Sarah out a bit, who insists on sticking with the kid at all times. Basically all future plans are based on scare-comedy with bits of serious thrown in here and there.
Meeting the child: Prompt 4
Star handed the clipboard back to the woman. She looked it over and clicked her tongue in what might have been a disapproving manner, but Star was used to that so he didn't pay a lot of attention. The woman appeared to have finished reading. She waggled her fingers at Star in a fashion that suggested he was to follow and led him down a small hall and to a closed door off to the side. She opened the door and gestured he was to go in.
"I'll send your child in for now. I trust your mate will be here shortly. I'll direct her to the room when she arrives." With that she closed the door before Star could even respond.
He explored the room a bit. Very dark, dingy, and damp. Three whole D words that he didn't often actually see used together. It was impressive. Suddenly the door opened and a small child was thrust through the opening before snapping shut. The two stared at each other, the child in befuddlement and Star with interest. The child looked normal enough. Perhaps something with the fur was a bit off, but that was really it. The eyes though were really quite something!
"Totally radical peeps you got there. Diggin' 'em." The kit laughed and did a small twirl to show off its entire body.
"I'm cute as buttons! Wait, I already have buttons! No wonder!" Another peal of laughter, and Star joined in.
They had been chatting about various sewing techniques when suddenly the door opened and in came Sarah. She frowned at her mate. "Star, I love you but we really need to work on your direction skills. I need more details!" A squeaking sound drew her attention to the kit in the room, who was turning interesting colors. And...patterns. The couple would later agree the child had covered quite a large spectrum.
"G-ghost," it eeped, then dove behind Star with an impressive leap. It took a bit of explaining that yes, Sarah was transparent, but no, she was not a ghost and was in fact quite solid despite the transparency. Finally the youngster did emerge, and with a bit of coaxing and sweetness from Sarah soon it was laughing and perfectly cheerful once more.
( I'm deliberately using it instead of a gender-specific pronoun so it'll be a surprise what shows up. )

BANNER GOES HERE
After trying for so long, Dirk and Karina are finally parents! They're as thrilled as can be, but now a new worry has taken center stage. They have four children, but only three people to look after them. Who will be their fourth caregiver?
Starts:DATE GOES HERE Ends:DATE GOES HERE
Rules ☀ Follow Gaia TOS and shop rules, of course. ✿ Anyone can enter. One Noodle, two Noodle, no Noodle, ALL THE NOODLES. Doesn't matter. If you've already won stuff this month it would be courteous to give other people a chance, but this in no way prohibits you from entering. ☀ No discouraging people from entering, or whining/guilt-tripping because you didn't win. Let's be mature people. ✿ You are allowed to edit your entry up to the closing date. I've seen a lot of people who have "writing in progress" and they never get the story out. Take advantage of the edit rule, hash out a rough story, then go in at your leisure and polish it up. At least a rough story gives you a better chance than "in progress". Not required, just my personal opinion! ☀ No proxies, no giving away the bowl if you win. Dea or I could have done that ourselves and saved the trouble of making this contest. ✿ Please read up on the family, even if it's just the provided personality blurbs! Far be it from me to tell you how you should write a character, individuality is great, things happen, but please! If you are going to have the bowl turn out massively different/estranged from the family, you need to include reasons. I'm always around if you want to PM me to even work out details for the reasons. I just don't want out-of-the-blue family drama, and neither does Dea. Thank you for understanding!

↻ Dirk Dirk is a hard-working, calm and steady fellow who doesn't get easily flustered. He's a farmer to the bone and can't imagine doing anything else with his life. He's an excellent listener and can give some solid advice, and while he's not the mostly worldly of conversationalists he's perfectly willing to chat. He might seem like a empty-headed bumpkin, but there's a keen mind under that straw hat. Since meeting Karina there's a lot more happiness in his life, and he's realized just how far he's willing to go to save those he loves. He's better with plants than animals, but thankfully Karina knows what she's doing! He enjoys a good book or movie, spending time with family, or trying new food ideas when he's not out working.
IMG
↻ Karina Karina is a gentle, hard-working noodle, who isn't afraid to get her paws dirty. She loves gardening, loving the feeling of bringing new life into the world. She is very loyal and if she thinks you need something, she will go out in a raging storm to make sure you get it. She likes to cook and she has a special way with animals. She can be a little too stubborn sometimes, causing harm to herself at times. She can also be a bit too trusting, luckily she has Dirk around to make sure no one takes advantage of her good nature. She usually has a smile on her face and likes spreading good cheer.

↻ Troublemaker This is your father's pet crow, whom he found as a nestling and raised. Troublemaker is always following Dirk around, and is highly jealous of anyone who takes up his attention. Trouble also, true to the name, causes trouble, mainly by stealing shiny stuff or anything you leave laying around. If you're missing something, go check the nest...

IMG OF BOWL
The little one you are entering for is a GENDER, and the NUMBER oldest in the litter. Read on to learn how to win the baby and join the family!
Things of interest ☀ There is no actual naming theme, just try not to go too exotic. No last names, but you can have middle names if you want. (i.e., Anna May, Mary Sue, Bobby Joe, etc.) ✿ Dirk is going to meet with an accident as part of a pre-plotted thing Dea and I talked about ages ago. Here's their roleplay log if you want to see the exact conversation (and how Mommy and Daddy met and fell in love as a bonus read!), but all you have to remember is between their kids being kids and growing to adults, Dirk is going to acquire a limp. ☀ Troublemaker is....a girl? And she's having babies too?! It's highly probable all the kiddos will have pet crows of their own, so be sure to take that into account. ✿ These kids will be 2nd Gen.
Here come the prompts ↻ One: You live on a farm. It's a pretty big farm. You don't just have a house to explore, there's barns, animals, storage sheds, fields full of growing things, groves of trees at the edges of the land. The only thing you're missing is a pond, and even that could eventually be built in! Describe what an average day is like for you. ↻ Two: Your parents are both farmers. Your father takes care of the fields, your mom takes care of the animals. Both of them love living close to the land. What about you? Do you share their love of the land? Do you prefer raising plants, animals, or both? Or do you feel your calling lies elsewhere, and if so, where? ↻ Three: The day starts out normal. You're at home with Karina while Dirk takes some of your siblings into town. Then things go wrong. Karina gets a call and suddenly she is panicking and frantic. You have no clue what's going on, and find yourself rushed to a hospital where your father is unconscious. You learn he got hurt saving your siblings because they were careless. Tell me what you're going through. How did seeing your father like that affect you? Do you blame your siblings for what happened? ↻ Four: I'm out of ideas. You'll just have to make up your own!

Let the game begin!
Okay, I'm going to try to explain this properly and not get all confusing with my numbers, but that doesn't always work out so if you have any questions feel free to shoot me a PM!
• How the game works The game starts with a series of scenarios, one for single hunting, one for pair hunting, and one for group hunting. Each scenario will have a series of outcomes. Which outcome you achieve depends on your stats, the weekly hunting success percentage, and a roll of the dice.
- Single -
How to play! Number of Fumes required: 1 Instructions: The Single game is less about stats and more about the hunting success rate percentage. You can pick any stat and your chances of winning will be the same no matter what! This is great when you have low stats you're trying to boost, but the lower the hunting success rate the lower your chances of winning.
When HSR is 1 Pick your stat. Multiply number by ten. RNG between 1 and that number. EX, stat is 7, so RNG between 1 and 70. Number must be anywhere between 1 thru 7 to win. When HSR is 2 Pick your stat. Multiply number by ten. RNG between 1 and that number. Multiply stat by 3. EX, stat is 7, so RNG between 1 and 70. Number must be anywhere between 1 thru 21 to win. When HSR is 3 Pick your stat. Multiply number by two. RNG between 1 and that number. EX, stat is 7, so RNG between 1 and 14. Number must be anywhere between 1 thru 7 to win. When HSR is 4 Pick your stat. Multiply number by ten. RNG between 1 and that number. Multiply stat by 7. EX, stat is 7, so RNG between 1 and 70. Number must be anywhere between 1 thru 49 to win. When HSR is 5 Pick your stat. Multiply number by ten. RNG between 1 and that number. Multiply stat by 9. EX, stat is 7, so RNG between 1 and 70. Number must be anywhere between 1 thru 63 to win.
HSR can be found on the front page in the weather post, and will also be included in the game post. To add more risk to this game of chance you can change your HSR to a lower number, which lowers your chance of winning but ups the reward. EX, if the HSR is 3 you can try for 2 or 1, but not 4 or 5. You can't change your mind once you change your HSR, so think carefully!
Rewards! Note: You only get points if you win. If you fail you only receive a participation point, which is given to you regardless of whether you win or lose.
Participation in game: 1 point towards any stat HSR 1: 6 points towards chosen stat HSR 2: 5 points towards chosen stat HSR 3: 4 points towards chosen stat HSR 4: 3 points towards chosen stat HSR 5: 2 points towards chosen stat
- Pair -
How to play! Number of Fumes required: 2 Instructions: The game involves a scenario and five options to choose from. In this game you have one of two choices. You and your partner can band together and pick a single choice, thus combining your stats and upping your chances of winning, or you can choose to each pick a single option, thus relying on your own stats which increases both the risk and the reward. Once you choose to either hunt together or separately you can't change your mind!
If you choose to attack individually, each person must post their own chosen option.
If you choose to attack as a pair, have one person post the option you're going with.
After you have chosen your option(s), you will be quoted with the results. For now pair hunters cannot choose to change their HSR like single hunters can, though this may change in the future.
Rewards! Note: You only get points if you win. If you fail you only receive participation points, which are given to you regardless of whether you win or lose.
Participation in game: 1 point each towards any stat HSR 1 or 2: (Individual, 1 success 1 fail) 4 points towards any stat for successful Fume, 1 point towards any stat for unsuccessful Fume (Individual, 2 successes) 5 points each towards any stat (Group) 4 points each towards any stat HSR 3 or 4: (Individual, 1 success 1 fail) 3 points towards any stat for successful Fume, 1 point towards any stat for unsuccessful Fume (Individual, 2 successes) 4 points each towards any stat (Group) 3 points each towards any stat HSR 5: (Individual, 1 success 1 fail) 2 points towards any stat for successful Fume, 1 point towards any stat for unsuccessful Fume (Individual, 2 successes) 3 points each towards any stat (Group) 2 points each towards any stat
- Group -
How to play! Number of Fumes required: 3-6 Instructions: The game involves a scenario and five options to choose from. As in the Pair game you now have choices. One choice is that each member of the group can select a different option, which increases the reward but decreases the chances of winning as you must rely on your own stats. Another choice is to attack in pairs or groups, which combines your stats and increases the chance of winning. Each attack group must be a minimum of two and can contain as many as four, and there can be multiple attack groups. EX, if your group contains 5 Fumes you can have 3 choose one option and 2 choose another option, or 4 choose one option and 1 attack individually, or have all 5 do individual attacks. It's up to you how you wish to proceed. Just know that once you choose to hunt individually or in groups, you can't change your mind!
If you choose to attack individually, each person must post their own chosen option.
If you choose to attack as a group, have one person post who is in the group and the option you're going with.
After you have all chosen your option(s), you will be quoted with the results. For now group hunters cannot choose to change their HSR like single hunters can, though this may change in the future.
Rewards! Note: You only get points if you win. If you fail you only receive participation points, which are given to you regardless of whether you win or lose.
Participation in game: 1 point each towards any stat HSR 1 or 2: (Individual, mixed success and fail) 4 points towards any stat for successful Fumes, 1 point towards any stat for unsuccessful Fume (Individual, all succeed) 6 points each towards any stat (Groups, mixed success and fail) 4 points each towards any stat for successful Fumes, 1 point each towards any stat for unsuccessful Fumes (Groups, all succeed) 5 points each towards any stat HSR 3 or 4: (Individual, mixed success and fail) 3 points towards any stat for successful Fumes, 1 point towards any stat for unsuccessful Fume (Individual, all succeed) 5 points each towards any stat (Groups, mixed success and fail) 3 points each towards any stat for successful Fumes, 1 point each towards any stat for unsuccessful Fumes (Groups, all succeed) 4 points each towards any stat HSR 5: (Individual, mixed success and fail) 2 points towards any stat for successful Fumes, 1 point towards any stat for unsuccessful Fume (Individual, all succeed) 4 points each towards any stat (Groups, mixed success and fail) 2 points each towards any stat for successful Fumes, 1 point each towards any stat for unsuccessful Fumes (Groups, all succeed) 3 points each towards any stat
Score system: RNG between 1 and 5 the appropriate amount of times to see which of the five options will be the successful ones. The appropriate posts should be clear successes regardless of the actual stat points. If three or less posts will be winners: • With the other two/three, do a percentage roll. Use the system for individual hunting, but combine the two numbers and RNG between that. IE, one needs to be 1-7 and another needs to be 1-5, so the number needed should be 1-12. Roll between the two, IE 1-12 roll would be out of 60. Will need to change this as numbers rise. • Have one or two chance-improvement options using either patience or instinct.
Here's a generalized scenario of prey and the setting they're in. Below are the actions you can take.
I Know Who They Are Solo or Partnered?: Solo Username 1: jinxgirl5 Username 2: N/A, but if anyone is interested in either of them, likes my story, and think they want to be a part of it, send me a PM. I might ask a couple questions, but that's cause I want them to be a lifemated couple so I want to be sure on who I choose!
Male Personality: (Name to be decided after a second owner is found) He is proud and strong and fierce! A great hunter and warrior, like most of his species, he is able to swim and hunt far deeper than most Sharptooths because of his bio-luminescence. Though his kind are not known for their social skills, he may be even less so because he does spend so much of his time alone in the deep where few are comfortable following. He does not mind, even enjoys his solitude. The sole exception is his mate, and even she wears at his nerves at times. He does not talk much either, summing up his thoughts in very few words. He tolerates others near him as long as they do not bother him in any way. As a warrior he has a sense of honor: He does not attack numena or nesting sites, the sickly or the dying. This is not so much because of any feelings of mercy so much as such fights would be of little to no challenge and therefore produce no honor or glory. He thinks on his (metaphorical) feet and prefers to face challenges openly and head-on than to think up cunning strategies. Because of his pride he does have a bit of a short temper and can harbor resentment, though he rarely nurses a grudge. He isn't known for having a sense of humor either. As far as tact or respect go, he only gives those things to the few who earn his admiration.
Female Personality: (Name to be decided after a second owner is found) She is fierce, ruthless, and cunning. There is little to nothing she won't do to further her own ends, for she cares only for herself and looks out for only herself. Her mate may be the single exception to this rule, but only because he also looks out for himself. Not even the thought of children can summon a glimmer of caring, for it is the way of their people to survive however they can from the moment the emerge from their eggs, none of this nurturing nonsense. She is a thinker, able to strategize and improvise in equal parts. To her there is no concept of fair, no right or wrong. There is only strength and smarts. If she takes something, it's because someone was not strong enough to hold on to it. If something is taken from her, she must improve so that it does not happen again. Those with pride or honor can squawk about her lack of such things all they want, because in the end all that counts is who emerges triumphant. She does not waste her time in fits of temper, though the outrage of others amuses her. Her hobby (you could even call it a quirk) is to collect things that intrigue her. Shiny things, unusually-shaped things, or human-made items that find their way into the ocean. She keeps her treasures stored in various, protected spots, and guards the knowledge of these spots from all others.
Prompt Response: He spent much time in the deep water where few dared to hunt. It was a home to the strange and bizarre, some creatures smaller than his hand and some so large they could have swatted him and not even noticed. To him it was lovely; quiet yet hard, where one had to work for their victories. He would stay if he could, but the bottom was too far down, the pressure a bit too uncomfortable for resting, nor were there many ideal spots. So every day he rose back towards Shimmerdark Reef to rest, then went back to his beloved deep waters.
It was during one such descent that he happened to notice something unusual. Flickers of color, a rich purple, following him. At least he thought it was following him. The female put him on guard simply because his kind rarely sought each other out. Every time he looked her way she seemed to be ignoring him, but every time he resumed his descent he would see the shimmer of those purple scales dancing at the edges of his glowing light. He chose to ignore the female, as much as instinct would allow, and had been hunting for some tasty squid. It had taken him a little searching, but a nice specimen crossed his path. Then, before he could even begin to react, there was a flash of purple and his meal had been plundered. For a moment he could only stare at the female as she devoured his meal; he could swear there was a hint of a sharp-toothed grin on her face. Before he could decide whether he wanted to kill her or just savage a fin or two, she darted up and into the gloom, back towards brighter waters.
It became something of a ritual from then on. It drove him mad, because he could never seem to lose her. Sometimes he didn't even realize she was following him. She was a fast thing, and he had to work hard to get his food before she could snatch it away for herself. Some days she was nowhere to be found, and at first he welcomed the respite. As time passed however, more and more he began to realize how discontent he was. There was a distinct thrill at snatching his prey before the female could get to it. Hunting alone seemed like hardly the challenge it used to be. And when the female returned, though he scowled and tried to leave her behind as he always did, he also felt a soft glow of pleasure.
So in the near future, Moonseed is going to find herself a mother. One child will stay with me, but I'm giving an opportunity for anyone brave enough to want to join such a family to win the second child.
Starts: Now Ends: TBA
Play by the rules That means follow Gaia TOS and shop rules. If I see you violating them I'll give you a nudge to correct things, but any blatant disregard will result in disqualification.
Play nice No discouraging people from entering. Don't be a sore loser or unpleasant winner. It's never been an issue yet, and hopefully it stays that way.
Play the game The story of this family is still unfolding. This is only the first step. I'll do my best to set the stage so you can see where I might be going, but that's only part of the game. The whole reason for entering is not because you want to be part of the story, you want to help make it. This story means something to me, so show me how much it means to you.
Ready?
Meet Moonseed, mother of the child you'll be entering for. Here's a few things you might want to know: • Moonseed is an excellent gardener and has a fascination with poisonous plants. She has been cultivating a poison garden for a long time and has quite a variety. It is quite lovely and able to be safely traversed, but it is not recommended you do so without a passable knowledge of botany. • Moonseed's namesake is a poisonous plant that looks similar to wild grapes. • Moonseed is immune to several kinds of botanical poison and has a high tolerance level for most of the rest. This tolerance is not genetic; it is the result of working with poisonous plants for a long time. It is risky to touch her because potential botanical oils in her fur that cause her no trouble could cause a serious reaction in one who does not share her tolerance. • Moonseed has mental problems. She acts child-like most of the time and has random swings of mood and emotion. She is rarely dangerous, but it is best to be cautious. The origin of her insanity is unspecific at this time, though her mental state is more aggravated than it once was. As her story progresses she will become calmer and easier to handle due to the influence of the as-of-yet-unnamed male who will be the father of the children. She will not be mentally capable of being a mother-figure to her first children, and they may or may not be an additional influence furthering her towards mental stability. Only time will tell.
Now let's talk a bit about the father: • Appearance is going to be kept secret until after the winner is decided, and since sometimes my names reflect an individual's appearance, that will be kept classified as well. This is both to make sure looks won't play a part in wanting a kid and cause I just like the idea of a surprise factor. • There's actually quite a bit of backstory behind the father, but since it's all past details and plays no part in the current story aside from shaping personality, you'll only learn about it through any memories he relives during roleplay. • He will end up lifemated to Moonseed, though for story reasons this probably won't be officially submitted until around their third breeding. • He will be the lead parental figure for the children. This will be necessary given Moonseed's mental state, though he is also a good parent and will love his children. He will do his best to make sure Moonseed and the kids understand their own connection, even if Moonseed is not fit to be a mother at the moment.
Now that introductions have been made, we'll move to the next bit.
What can you expect from Moonseed? Moonseed generally acts in a simple-minded way, much like a child, but she's not completely child-like either. There will be times when she is in a trance-like state and will not respond at all to the presence of others. When she does notice people she tries to lure them into her garden and will point out all the different plants and talk about what they do. It can be educational, but it's highly non-recommended since there's a lot of stuff she doesn't point out. Her attention span also fluctuates, so she might drift off into her own world again or start repeating herself. This could also be because her memory seems to suffer along with everything else and she has a hard time retaining information not related to plants. The father has begun the slow process of pulling Moonseed into a more self-aware state and constantly tries to make sure she knows the children are hers. There will be a few very rare moments when she is stuck in silent self-contemplation. She will not move much or say anything during these moments, but when she looks at her children they will be able to get the sense that she recognizes them. This is only temporary, for soon she will be drawn back into her inner world. Moonseed will likely forget their names, that they are her children, or that she has even met them before, until they are well into their adulthood and past the point a mother-child bond can be established.
What can you expect from the father? He has a seemingly limitless supply of patience and will love his children above all else. He is equal parts protector and nurturer, and though he wishes with all his heart that his children would not grow he also realizes it's something that has to happen at some point. He is the kind that will brag about his children to others or tease them because he thinks they are cute, though he knows when to pull back. He can be considered overprotective in some veins, but in the end all he wants is for them to be happy and healthy. He will be the only reason they realize they have a mother. Once a day for a little bit of time he will vanish after leaving his children in a safe, secure location, so that he can talk to Moonseed. Some days he will bring the children along and include them. Though he wishes they could have a bond with Moonseed and continues trying to help her recognize her own children, he will never leave them alone with her. He will do his best to make sure the children understand why their mother is the way she is so they do not grow up to hate her, though he will not try to force them into loving her. His children may come to view him as part friend, part defender, and part discipliner, and though they might naturally clash with him as they grow and seek more freedom, when they look back they will (perhaps reluctantly) realize he was always right.
What can you expect from the sibling? Your sibling will be the opposite gender of yourself. Age will be randomly decided. At the moment there is no concrete personality, and there probably won't be until I know the gender. I can at least say they will adore their father, be fond of their sibling, and view their mother with a slightly cautious but curious manner.
Let's talk about the kid.
• You don't get to see the incense containers. They, like their father, will be a mystery. Instead you'll just pick a gender. • I use a certain naming style. If pressed for an answer I would say my preference is that you name them in the same style, but it's not something I require. All I ask is that you keep the mental state of the parents in mind and think of what kind of name they would choose. • Moonseed's condition is not genetic. Her children will be mentally healthy, as will be any of their descendants. They may develop quirks, but keep it within a normal range.

Username: jinxgirl5 Bowl Name: James De'Awesume-Daley Name Meaning: It means "supplanter", but I picked the name more because it's one of my favorite male names than for the meaning. If that makes ya'll uncomfortable, given family history, my second choice would be David, which means "beloved". Basic Personality: As a very young child James will be very cute and cuddley. He's all smiles and energy, very sweet and loves to play. He also really enjoys snuggling, but will have to be taught vampire etiquette about when it's appropriate to nibble. The lesson should stick quickly, since he doesn't like making people unhappy and will take the rules very seriously. - -As he gets older a bit of doubt will start to set in. He knows that his family looks different from most others, but as it becomes more apparent that even among his siblings that he's a bit different (more vampire than Choveckite) there's going to be some resentment starting to creep up from the feeling of being left out. He may become, at times, needy for attention and display a competitive nature. Of course this will not change that he loves Liam and Rebecca, and guilt over his bad behavior and his natural personality will trump his need for attention. For example if he begs for a special treat and gets it he may eat a little bit alone at first, but will soon seek out his siblings to share since he likes to see them smile. He may grow a possessive/protective attitude regarding Shay. This doesn't change his love for Tomas, but Shay will be the one he is more likely to seek out. This behavior is largely a phase and something he should grow out of pretty quickly given how open Tomas and Shay are with the children. As he gets older it may crop up on a rare occasion or two, but he will see that his time with Shay is as special as the time Liam and Rebecca spend with Tomas. - -His teen years will see him mellow out considerably, both in terms of his needy/competitive tendencies as a child to his energy level in general. He is far more comfortable in his vampire/Choveckite body and now spends a great deal of his time practicing vampire magic and working on a routine to keep his thirst in check. He's far quieter, not talking as much and preferring to spend more of his time alone. This is not to say that he shuns the company his family or friends (he will always be there for them), but as he matures he will want to find things out on his own. This can land him in trouble from time to time, like with any adolescent, but he's smart enough to come to Shay or Tomas if he realizes he messed up. As with his child years he is more likely to approach Shay, but this doesn't mean he will hesitate to seek Tomas out. Shay is just the logical choice when in need of answers to vampire-oriented questions. - -As an adult, James will still have the quiet nature that showed up during his teen years. He feels he has more of a handle on his body, and though he is cautious and continuously aims for improvement he will seek out help from friends and family instead of trying to do everything on his own. He acquired an interest in mechanics and technology from listening to Tomas explain things to him as a child. It was a bonding experience that has survived and continued to thrive in the present day. James enjoys tinkering with things as a way to relax, and loves working on projects with Tomas. With family and family friends he is still a sweet, caring guy who always has a smile and time to give them. When it comes to meeting new people he's unsure. He is a little awkward and rarely makes a first move unless intrigued by something, but is friendly if approached and able to hold a conversation. He will need some time to grow into a sense of confidence, but once he's more comfortable with his looks and not worrying about how others might perceive him he will be able to exude charm at will. It takes time for him to feel truly close to others since he is reluctant to let them in, and he guards his heart carefully. - -His familiar (name/gender undecided, prefer to see what the kitty looks like first, will likely go with female, but using genderless pronouns atm) will be a constant presence in his life from the moment he crawls out of his bowl. They are very intelligent and easily able to understand what's being said around them, but keeps their opinion limited to the usual array of feline gestures. (Still playing with ideas here. I'm toying with the idea of the cat being telepathic. Not sure if will limit this to James only or if the cat can speak to anyone it chooses to and it just chooses to speak to James most often. Also toying with different ways the cat came to James. Either just found him and followed him home or was a gift from Tomas/Shay. IDK yet, will wait to see what it looks like and poke at you guys for opinions.) Obligatory Promise to Keep Moony & Chibi in the Loop: Of course! I already have both of you on Skype, so ya'll know where to find me >D
Prompt #: 1 Response: James sighed softly and snuggled a little closer to Papa, listening to the gentle rise-and-fall of his breathing. Daddy had left with Rebecca and Liam yesterday, leaving James behind. He'd been greatly disappointed and had pouted at first, but Daddy told him they couldn't leave Papa alone by himself, that he and Papa should stay together and look after each other. James, with every ounce of solemnity one usually finds in a toddler given a serious task, nodded agreement. It didn't take long for him to get restless again though. It was so quiet with Daddy and Liam and Rebecca in the house! Papa wasn't as good at playing games as Daddy. He wasn't as good at adventuring as Rebecca or as fun to tease as Liam.
But Papa was the best at making one feel loved! Like when he'd given in to James' wish and they'd built a huge blanket fort in the middle of the living room. Then he crawled in with James and they both laid on their backs staring at the ceiling of their tent and talking about whatever came to mind, even though Papa usually didn't talk a lot. Even right now. Papa was scared of giving hugs, like he wasn't sure how, but James was watching Papa as he had snuggled closer and knew he was only pretending to be asleep. Because Papa had smiled.
Sylvester and Sherry have created bowls! MUAHAHAH -cough- I mean, isn't that amazing! Trouble is they created one too many for them to handle. Would you be willing to give their little one a home?
Starts: TBA Ends: TBA

They also have something of a naming tradition, using names that start with S or K. It's highly encouraged that the name you pick start with one of these letters. - - • Any new rules added will be marked red.
POST 2
Family burbs go here
Sylvester Lyndburger
- Your father! He can be summed up as an energetic spazz with a bit too much imagination and a love of cheese. Sylvester loves to make up stories for everything and never seems to take anything seriously. Life is meant to be enjoyed, after all, even if his brand of enjoyment seems to border on energy drink-fueled ADHD. - As a father, Sylvester thinks his kids are the cutest things in the world. He loves snuggling and showing them new things, and will encourage them to try all sorts of new stuff even if the things they want to do are questionable in the safety and cleanliness areas. Of course he'll try the line at anything truly dangerous, but he'll still be a pretty lax papa. He may also mention his kiddos got hit with a Cumin Curse. Just smile and nod.
Ketiva Scheriske Zanthe Verose Kale (But goes by Sherry)
- Your mother! Sherry is the stereotypical evil villain who creates a variety of rays and beams and plots to take over the earth. Unfortunately, most of her plans backfire due to her own flawed logic, and thus she's the type to drink herself into a coma every time she fails. Heck, half the time she's already tipsy when she makes her diabolical threats, so used to the same routine of failing. Her failing stems from the fact she always messes up the red and blue wires, and the inventions end up blowing up in her face when she starts them up. And unfortunate side effect to her drinking is her body gives off butterfly pheromones. Thus, they flock to her like... well... moths to the flame, and she has a hard time keeping them away. Instead, she calls them 'minions' and has named them: Hank, Bill, Ted, George, and Ben Affleck. - As a mother, Sherry's approach to her kids is a bit...experimental. She will highly encourage her children in any scientific pursuits they wish to take on, and for the rest, well... Much like when a cat brings you a dead bird, though you aren't overly enthusiastic with what they bring you you still pat them on the head and praise them.
??? Kale-Lyndburger
- Your sister! She's the oldest of the siblings.
Sheldon Kale-Lyndburger
- Your brother! He's the middle child.
POST 3
Let's Play A Game!
Here's the bowl you're entering to win: ( This bowl is FEMALE and the YOUNGEST of her siblings. )
You're growing up in a very....creative household. You've got an evil scientist for a mother and a father who will be ridiculously enthusiastic about anything you decide to do. Both will often give you advice that seems strange or ill-advised to most, but in their household is pretty normal. There's also a lot of stuff lying around that's probably best not found in little paws...
How to play: - - • There are six "Occupations" and six "Tools" - - • Select the Occupation that fits best with the personality you want - - • Select the Tool they're most likely to use - - • Fill out the form
Occupations - 1. Evil Scientist - 2. Quirky Villian - 3. Lackadaisical Inventor - 4. Swashbuckling Chef - 5. Intrepid Adventurer - 6. Free Space ( Make up your own Occupation )
Tools - 1. Chemicals ( The potentially unstable kind ) - 2. Death ray - 3. Low-grade explosive - 4. Swiss Army Knife - 5. SPANDEX!* - 6. Free Space ( Make up your own Tool )
* Just a random option for a random personality. Of course there's nothing wrong with using spandex as a tool! You could do all sorts of things with it. It's must-have attire for your average super hero, super villain, or sing-o-gram deliverer, to name a few of many options.
Rolling two 6-sided die to decide which category we're picking a winner out of. If the number of the first die is even we pick from occupations, odd we pick from tools. Unless there isn't anyone in that number slot, like rolling a 1 for occupations or 2 or 3 for tools.
EDIT: Rolled a 5, so we pick from tools, but no one entered for the second slot in tools. So either we go to occupations, in which case Peter is the only one in the second slot and is the winner, or we re-roll since we hit a blank in the tool section.
