Staffordshire is the city nearest to the school. On weekends, staff and students are allowed to take excursions to the city. Students must be accompanied by a member of staff in order to visit Staffordshire.
There is a line of colorful shops that cater to a variety of tastes. Clothes, jewelry, food, books, technology, and more are sold at stalls in the market square and in open air shops surrounding the plaza. The stalls spend the morning setting up, and sell their wares into the night.
The city of Staffordshire has long had dealings with the Academy, and is used to seeing royalty walking the streets. The inhabitants tend not to bother the students, and the shop owners speak a variety of tongues to better conduct business. All the shops and stalls take any form of currency, as the bank in the central plaza is also quite accustomed to handling student accounts while they are away from home.
The market street and central plaza put up festive bunting, lights, and decorations. The city is a pleasant place to be, with delicious smells and delightful sights on every corner.
