The ballroom is still in a state of disarray from last year's events. To the staff's credit, it DOES look a lot nicer than it did.

Once the floor is swept and the glass ceiling made to work again, the ballroom will be a long, beautiful hall in which the Academy's most important events will be held.

The frame of the walls is still exposed, and the actual putting up of walls and ceiling need to take place before any deep cleaning can happen, due to the nature of the ballroom itself. The ceiling, normally a sheet of glass, opens up the ground above to reveal the night sky. However, with the glass missing, the only thing the ceiling lets in is dust and rain.

The walls are to be repainted and gilded, the glass replaced with a thicker, stronger, more tightly set cut. The mechanics, lighting, and music all need to be rewired, and the furniture needs to be replaced.

It's probably going to be a while until the ballroom is in top shape again.
