I'm new to the emo scene and i don't really know any good mainstream emo bands can anyone help me out on this one question crying I feel so lame!

Hm. Good mainstream emo bands. There are very few...and most of them aren't that great compared to the emo bands who aren't mainstream.
Oh, and dont feel lame. I've only been into emo for like two years. Its not something your born with, you just find out about it and like it. Or at least thats how it happened for me.

-My Chemical Romance
-Hawthorne Heights
-Taking Back Sunday
-Under Oath
-Armor For Sleep. (Unfortunatly, they are mainstream now.)
I think that's it...there very well may be more.

I dont really count P!At the D emo...they're 'scene'...but alot of people dont count 'scene' as a genre, so. xd
I didnt know Alesana was mainstream...that's too bad, they're really good.

On mtv?! OR the pop radio stations?
not here.
But I dont listen to them so I wouldnt know >_<.
THats why I dont anymore. So I never know whos scence I just like what I like.BUt I usually listen to myspace or purevolume :/
But I dont think Armor For SLeep is. BEcause they just started their headling tour and they played the smallest place they ever had here in minnesota..it did sell out..But it wasnt scene kids. It was true fans!
