Rules for RPers
as found on the guild's homepage
1. Obey Gaia's ToS at all times. No exceptions.
2. Absolutely no godmodding. This is a blanket rule including the greatest roleplaying infractions, including but not limited to: invincibility, dictating other roleplayer's responses or actions without their consent, knowing things your character should not know, having powers that do not make sense for your character/the setting, mind-reading if your character is not a mind-reader, anything that is used to let one character force the plot or other characters and does not enable the story to be a properly collaborative effort with plausibility, etc. As a general rule, if you or your characters are exerting too much control over a plot or character you do not control, or interfering with someone else's plot/subplot/character without their consent or invitation, you are godmodding. If this rule is broken you will be warned ONCE, then removed from the guild. If you have any questions about what constitutes godmodding, please ask the captain or a vice captain.
3. When applying for the guild, please provide a link to a literacy sample, or write us a short example post.
4. Please stay active and post at least thrice a week, but more if you can. If you're going to be gone, let us know if you can.
5. Keep all romance and violence PG-13. Romance is certainly not discouraged (after all, these characters are at that age!), but if it goes beyond hugs and kisses, we ask that you take it to PMs and excuse yourselves with a time-skip.
6. Once you are accepted, make a character! Post your profile under a new topic in the Characters subforum and a crew member will review and accept it. Please wait until your character has been approved before posting. This should not take long, but if you somehow slip through the cracks, feel free to PM a crew member to remind them to have a look at it.
7. There is a general limit of 5 characters max. If you feel you can handle more, please PM a crew member for permission to exceed this limit.
8. Respect each other. If fights break out between members of the guild, please do your best to resolve them without involving the crew. If you feel you must involve a higher up, please remember that they have the deciding say in all disputes. If a problem persists and it comes to the captain, her word is final. No exceptions.
9. We are a third-person past-tense guild. If you write in present-tense or first-person, prepare to be shunned.
10. Have fun!
Infractions of these rules are tallied in the crew's lounge. If you are frequently in violation, you will be asked to review these rules and change your behavior. If you refuse to cooperate, you will be kicked from the guild.
