Well, he had done what he'd set out to do, that being find himself another dragon... a shame that it had friends with it he thought to himself as he dashed along as quickly as his legs would carry him. Karayan glanced over his shoulder, then forward again, clutching his bone blade at his side. So the fact that he'd missed the other two had been a bit of a bother... not only because he was horribly out numbered but also because he'd riled up the first one by stabbing it in the tail. Obviously the tail was far from its weak spot, something that he would note for the next battle against the Ysali provided that he escaped from this one. Sighing a bit to himself he said, "Really don't feel like being eaten today." Not that he could recall a day where being eaten alive seemed like a good idea but it was certainly not what he wanted to do today. This was his second 'battle' against the Ysali after all and he had still yet to get one of their orbs, something that he felt was a bit of a downer. He supposed on the upside at least he'd actually gotten a hit in this time? Last time he'd missed his chance to attack entirely which had just been embarrassing...

Karayan looked over his shoulder again, taking in the sight of the three dragons that were still following him, glad to see that if nothing else they were a little bit tripped up by the trees and how close together they were in this particular part of the forest. It wasn't enough to impede them completely though meaning that if he slowed down at all he would find himself in that much more trouble, "Pft, as if I would slow down." He said to himself a moment before he crashing into something that sent him down in a heap, "Ow... by Abronaxus's horns... what did I crash into...?" He muttered, opening his purple eyes up and looked down at what he'd not only crashing into but had managed to flatten... and found himself starring at a boy about his size and age, only of a completely different race, "Eh? Eh?" Wait a second... Ah! A Orderite?!

It was on the tip of his tongue to ask the guy if he could have one of his feathers... that was until a roar behind him reminded him that the dragons were still in hot pursuit, "Oh... right... Ysali." He muttered, dragging himself to his feet, caught hold of the other boy by the wrist, and proceeded to drag him along, "Sorry! I didn't mean to lead them toward you, didn't know you were about you see." He figured he should apologize since he had accidentally gotten the guy mixed up in all of this. Would be a shame if he got the first ever Orderite he'd run across eaten... that would be no way to get in good with the Orderites as a whole, that much he was certain about, which meant no chance at Orderite Feathers which wasn't something he could risk! As such he supposed he'd have to save the guy from the pissed off dragons that were getting too close for comfort after Karayan's accidental tackling of the Orderite.

Today was one of those days, how? The young lad wasn't exactly sure why the day had this foreboding sense to it. He had gone about his chores for the day and decided it was a good time to explore the forest a bit to make sure it was safe from dragons before taking his sister into it for a picnic. There were still many chores still left to be done, Madryn wasn't a lazy boy, but he certainly didn't want to go into the forest after dark.

The young lad had gathered the closest thing resembling a weapon, a pitch fork and gone bravely as he could manage into the forest. The sense...of something bad about to happen still clinging to him despite the fact the sun was shining and the birds chirping announcing everything was alright. Still he could shake off that feeling.

Spotting a nearby hill that looked like a great spot to take Sueno he felt the hairs on the back of his neck bristle, the birds had gone quiet and in its place there was a terrible sound of things crashing through the forest, looking up he barely had a moment to register the young boy barreling in his direction and then colliding into him. The ground suddenly rushed up to great him as the boy who's skin was rather dark lay atop of him.

Groaning he tried to sit up part of him wanting to back up out of surprise but unable to. There were so many questions he wanted to ask him as it was obvious he was no Orderite but most likely Dovaa. Blinking he shrank a bit at the chorus of roaring coming from behind, the sickening crunch of branches breaking announcing that whatever it was chasing the boy...was still coming after him.

His eyes went wide as the boy then told him and apologized for bring a bunch of dragons towards them.
"A....nether.." He cursed mildly, it wasn't something he normally did, cursing as he never ever did it around his sister but in this instance...even if she had been here those words probably would of been spoken. So what should he do? Flee? There was some over whelming part of him that couldn't just...abandon the dovaa boy to his fate...it wasn't him to do that.

"Come on then! We need to hide!" Madryn hissed as he tried not to be so rude by pushing the boy aside and then grabbing his arm and yanking him forward. Since he had just explored the area nearby moments ago he had a few idea's of where they could hide. "How many?" Was his next question as there was far too much noise to really distinguish how many dragons were hot on their trail.

Despite the circumstances Karayan couldn't help but to smile a bit as the Orderite seemed to take charge, dragging him along when he had meant to try to do the same thing himself. No matter, he could care less at this point who saved who so long as they were both saved in the end he thought to himself before he found himself posed with a rather important question, how many dragons were after him... well, more like them now. He looked back over his shoulder as he was pulled along, watching the dragons a moment, then turned back to his fleeing partner. How many, huh? At least it was question he knew the answer to, "There are... ahh... haha... three of them." He said, his cheeks darkening that much more. It really hadn't been his intention to get tangled up with that many dragons but what was done was done and now all he could do was try to get away from them. Perhaps his new found running partner would know a good place to hide? Surely he must given hiding was his idea in the first place.

"If you have an ideas where we should go I am all ears. I am kinda new in this parts so I kinda just ran away from them in an arbitrary direction." He hadn't really picked which way to go, it was all random to him, and he'd hoped that maybe the dragons would get bored or tired or something. The fact that they still pursued said that they weren't about to give up so easily, likely because he'd gone and stabbed one of them, "It appears as though they don't exactly appreciate being stabbed, you know, just FYI." He figured he should probably share the information though he was quite certain it was probably common knowledge to anyone that had gone poking at dragons even once in their lifetime.

He probably shouldn't be so amused by it all and yet somehow he was, he'd blame it on the fact that despite knowing about the danger he was in he was just too excited over finding an Orderite. He'd yet to really interact with one of them before now so this was a rather exciting meeting, one that was surely Fated! He'd run off in a random direction after all only to crash headlong into this particular person, it was a meeting that was meant to be! Of course he had to remind himself that if they both got eaten it would sort of ruin the Fated meeting, wouldn't it? He doubted that Abronaxus would see to it that the two of them met only to end up eaten by a trio of Ysali. As such he'd like to believe that they were meant to make it through this in one piece. Best that he to kept on running until the other boy came up with a plan for where they should hide and once they were hidden then he would be able to enjoy this meeting to its fullest.

Madryn on the other hand was too worried about finding somewhere good to hide where the dragons wouldn't be able to catch up to them and then proceed to try to eat them. Literally dragging the dovaa behind him, catching words like how the dragons didn't appreciate being stabbed and he almost tripped on his own two feet. What?? This guy had tried to attack them? What was he nuts? Some part of him had to admire the courage the dovaa had shown, but he was also really really stupid....

It was a confusing mix of feelings as they continued to flee through the forest before he yanked the boy behind him sharply to the left. There was the hill he had seen earlier, there was some rock's there and he had remembered from child hood places you could squeeze into. Rounding sharply he shoved the dovaa towards the space between the rocks.

"Quick hide!" He hissed as he was now wondering if he would be able to fit in there as well. As kids him and his sister were able to comfortably but two older boys? He wasn't exactly sure.

Karayan allowed himself to get dragged along, wondering where it was exactly that they were going. If it was a good hiding spot he would be certain to make note of it so that he could hide here again if this went awry. Soon enough they they had reached a bunch of rocks and found himself getting shoved toward the entrance of them whilst being told to hide. He blinked a couple times, looked up at his antler like horns, then back again, "Ahhh... hrm..." Maybe if he scooted in just right he might be able to fit through the opening? It would be an interesting sort of challenge for sure he thought to himself before he started forward, forced to bend at nearly a ninety degree angle while during his head to the side to actually get himself through the tight entrance.

Once he'd finally maneuvered his way inside he turned around, scooted as far back as he could go, then motioned to the the Orderite, "Come on! Hurry before they catch up!" He said in a quite whisper, turning to one side so that he could stab his bone dagger into the ground, using the scent of the earth to hide the scent of the Ysali blood that was likely clinging to his blade. Best that he was careful, he didn't want to advertise their hiding spot after all, especially since, given the sounds of the roaring, the dragons were closing in on them.

He didn't need to be asked twice, though it was ...somehow mildly amusing to watch the boy try and slip in between the rock faces. Then it was becoming worrisome when it took him a little extra time to get in, when he was finally settled he was quick to slip in himself, though discovered time had not been kind and it was a very tight squeeze for the both of them to fit in there.

In fact it was rather awkward and uncomfortable as he basically had to press himself against a complete stranger to make sure that the dragons couldn't use their claws to reach in and grab him. It did make his face very very close to the dovaa's making him blush a bit.

Licking his upper lip he then chewed on his lower lip, after all it wasn't like they could talk...the dragons would hear them.

Karayan gave the Orderite a weak smile when the other boy joined him in the hiding spot. Not the most ideal one but given the options he supposed that it was for the best he thought to himself. He titled his head to one side, one of his pointed ears twitching, as he listened for the sounds of the dragons. He could hear them getting closer... they still sounded a bit upset over it all, didn't they? He'd have to be more careful next time so as to actually finish them off instead of just pissing them off he thought to himself. How else was he going to become a strong warrior after all unless he actually fought and killed the dragons?

The sounds of footsteps seemed to be getting closer and one of the dragons was seen walking passed the the entrance to their hidey hole, one foot coming to rest on the rocks above where they were sitting. There was a moment where Karayan thought they had been found, something that caused him to reach out to catch hold of the Orderite, dragging him that much closer as though wanting to protect him... and silence reigned. The dragons circled around the area, growled and snarled amongst themselves, and then they seemed to be on their way to continue the hunt elsewhere. It was clear they weren't sure where Karayan had gotten off to but were still eager to try to find and eat him. At least they were sticking around here though he thought to himself before realizing he was still holding onto the other boy, "Ah! Oops... sorry!" He squeaked out, releasing his hold on him as though scalded.

Madryn listened as the dragons got closer and closer, he felt that even their breathing was too loud and that it would be heard by them and thus he felt himself holding his breath in an attempt to be quieter. When the foot fall came so close, he felt himself stiffen as if he expected claws to rip into his back and try and drag him out of their hiding spot.

But then he was dragged forward and clutched by the dovaa in a rather protective embrace. He felt his face flush red but at the same time was glad to be further away from the entrance of the hole. When the sound around them went utterly silent he released the breath he was holding slowly before he was suddenly released and the boy sounded a bit distressed at the fact he had been holding onto him.

"Shhhs!" He hissed putting a finger to the other boy's lips. After all it may be quiet but it didn't necessarily mean that the dragons were too far. Looking over his shoulder he squinted looking out at the hole before he shifted, rather awkwardly to try and work his way out of the hole. The young oderite peeked out, and then slowly made his way out of the hole. Tentatively he stood up and noticed that there was nothing there he finally bent down and beckoned for the dovaa to come out.

Karayan flushed a bit more when the Orderite hushed him by putting a finger to his lips before he was moving closer to the exit of their rocky hiding spot. He blinked a couple times and fetched his weapon before he followed along after him, coming out when he was motioned toward. As much as he didn't like the other guy going out first it might have been for the best, Kara had a harder time getting through the entrance due to his horns after all. He looked around a moment, took in how close the dragons had gotten due to the footsteps all around their hiding spot, before he sighed in relief, "Phew... that was lucky." He murmured.

Turning to look at the other boy he gave him a smile, "Thanks for the save, dude, I don't know what I would have done without you." He was sure he'd of thought of something, maybe, but it was a lot better having his backside saved by this guy. Stretching out all over Karayan then asked, "So! Wanna go hunting for more of those with me?"

Now that the immediate danger was over Madryn looked over the darker skinned strangely tattoo'd dovaa and before looking absently away from him. Scratching a fake scratch on his cheek out of awkwardness before nodding his head slightly. His pitchfork was missing, but he would be sure to look for the weapon where they had run. After all it was better he had dropped it and gotten them to safety than kept it and tried to fight right?

"Uh...yeah...no problem I guess." He murmured wondering if he was suppose to dislike the dovaa or not. The boy was fairly amiable and in his books that was a good thing. "Though next time maybe you should look before you stab one of them ...it only makes them angry." It was dry humor but it was honest as well.

"I should probably go back home....I have chores I need to do."

"Chores...? Pft, where is the fun in that." He murmured, then shrugged, "I guess if that is what you have to do though I won't keep you. I think I am gonna head back into the forest and see about finding more of those dragons." He said, eyes sparkling with excitement. Sure, that battle hadn't exactly gone well for him but he would merely have to learn from his mistakes and try again!

He took a couple steps away from the Orderite, paused, and looked over his shoulder, "Hey, if you get done with your chores or whatever come find me! We can gather dragon orbs together. It will be fun." He told the other boy before he started forward once more.

He gave a curious look to the other at his comment about him doing his chores. It wasn't fun no, but he knew his father and mother needed him there. Though he wasn't too old yet to do some of the really heavy work, there was still a very strange part of him that enjoyed doing the work.

"Uh...do you really think..." Madryn began before he shook his head, okay so he did think that perhaps this boy was being serious about hunting for dragons. Though he had no strong desire to do it himself...there was still...that part of him that wanted to prove himself.

"Sure. When I get my chores done, I'll meet you at this rock in about an hours time okay?"
