Al charged in for the first attack. Flying out of nowhere to smack Tuck with his already summoned staff.

Completely unprepared for the sudden attack, Tuck reeled away from Al and took a moment to gather his bearings. There was a small smile on his face - he was tired, and the weather didn't look at all promising - but as he held Herryk in both of his hands, Tuck chuckled wordlessly. HP: 36 DMG: 0

Al didn't seem to even notice the weather yet as he charged right back in with another swing of Nuru aimed at the area of Tuck's elbow. The hit connected with a loud whap and Al deftly moved back again to coil up like a snake waiting to strike.

As Al moved back, Tuck moved forward to follow. Herryk's blade collided with Al's hip, and Tuck never stopped smiling. The connection felt good, and Herryk's runes flickered excitedly. HP: 30/30 DMG: 4

The hit elicited a loud hiss of pain as Al struck out as intended and swung Nuru across the other man's face. His own runes flickered in the air and joined in the light show with violet hues.

The crack across his face had Tuck seeing stars, and he was once again thankful to have his Fear shield. With a low grunt, Tuck sent Herryk whistling towards Al's midsection, the axe's blade glinting dully. HP: 23 DMG: 9

Al was knocked back by Herryk, barely clipping Tuck with Nuru as he flew back at the sheer force of the axe.

Tuck's own attack had him spinning out of control for a second. It took him a few pirouettes to get himself under control. HP 20 DMG: miss

The smack did keep him spinning just a few more times, and Tuck used the blunt side of his axe against Al's stomach to stop the momentum. "Think I'ma barf," he grunted rather unceremoniously. HP: 17 DMG: 3

Al bent over to clutch his abdomen with his right hand, "Oof!" But continued to swing Nuru at Tuck with his left. Wack wack wack.

SPECTATING
Heidi was changed and felt slightly fresher now that she had before now that she had managed to scrub off some of the mud she'd been covered with. She was late, but Heidi wouldn't miss this fight for anything. At least the training field was a better and more familiar place to fight than mud pit.
Had they been fighting long? It didn't look as if she had missed much. "Kick his butt, Tuck!" She called with a grin, though Al did receive an apologetic look. Sorry, Al. She likes you but boyfriend outranks all.

Al yelped as he got a stomach full of axe. Thank <********> for fear shields. He was able to bounce back but just barely enough to retaliate with a scrape.
