Deuce shuffled the cards again, practicing his different shuffling techniques; riffle, box, strip, riffle, bridge, there. Nice and random. He dealt the cards for another game of classic solitaire. He'd just won two in a row after losing three; solitaire was the ultimate game because, aside from cheating, there was no sure fire method to winning. Your cards were good, or not good. Deuce dealt his card out, making the layout nice so he didn't accidentally scramble the cards together. "Let's see. Nothing...nothing...nothing.... Ah! Red five, perfect." He dropped the card and pulled the next packet of three.

Emi had been stuck inside since it had been too hot and didn't want to fry her wings. She walked around the area with a smile on her face. She enjoyed the weather as it began to cool down. Taking a deep breath she began to spin around, gracefully. She had closed her eyes while doing so. She spun so much that she got a little dizzy and walked over the little card game going on. The cards were swept to all sides by her tail and fluttering wings. She shook her head then noticed what she had done. A light blush of embarrassment have covered her cheeks. "I'm so sorry!" She cried out as she tried to clean up the cards.

Deuce was concentrating so hard on his game, that he didn't notice the girl until it was far too late. He blinked down at his ruined game in shock before the anger rushed through him. He shot up off the ground like a rocket. "What the hell are you doing? Why don't you watch...where...you're--" Deuce trailed off as he caught sight of what had danced over his game. Wow, she was pretty....
He flushed, winced and shook his head. "No, no. Don't apologize, I shouldn't have been playing on the ground anyway." He squatted next to her and helped clean up the cards. "I'm sorry for yelling like that, my temper gets away from me sometimes." He smiled, trying to salvage whatever his anger might have broken. "Let me start over, I'm Deuce, you are?"

Emi had become startled by the male fox yelling at her. Her wings folded along her back as she put her paws to her face. Her cheeks grew an even darker red with embarrassment. "It's alright..." She said quietly as she handed the rest of the cards to him. "I should watch where I'm going next time. You seemed to be enjoying your game." She pointed out.
"Deuce, I'm Emi Chou. Emi is fine by me." She introduced herself with a shy smile. She though he was pretty cute.

"Oh, it was just solitaire, nothing to get so worked up about. It's a bad habit of mine." He ran his hand through his hair, between his horns, embarrassed for snapping like that. "It's nice to meet you, Emi." He took the cards and dusted them off, shuffling them in the air to knock any stray dust off of them. They weren't his best cards, but he was in the habit of taking care of his things; they lasted longer that way.
"Hey, you wanna play a game? We can play poker or go fish or...well any game you'd like, really. I know them all." Maybe that made him sound like a bit of a nerd, but he didn't care; games were his thing. "It's the least you can do after dancing over my solitaire." He said with a gentle smile to show he was teasing.

"It's quite alright. I'll take you up on that card game!" Emi said with a light giggle as she watched him dust off his cards. "How about some poker or go fish?" She asked as her wings fluttered lightly. She wanted to reply him back if this would be enough. He seemed nice enough, even though he had a slight temper.

Deuce decided on Go Fish; he had a bad habit of counting cards in many poker games, and he wanted to have fun, not a competition. "Let's start out with a round of Go Fish. It's the simplest one, and then maybe we can play a little Five Card or Texas Hold'em if you'd like." He dealt the cards, setting aside one set of pairs before looking back at Emi. "You go first, Emi." Deuce said, fanning his cards out in front of him. Sorry it took so long. RL ate all of my time. Also, which one should we have win the game?
