Before was not entirely sure how the hell he made it to this point. The first round had been an unfortunate series of events for Jordan. The second round was more on having the battle field in his favor. With the third round in the training field's familiar, wide open spaces, there wasn't much terrain for him to utilize. At least accidentally (someday, he will have the confidence to say he did it on purpose).
He didn't recognize his opponent, the only important thing to the Mist was that he was up against a Sun Hunter. Which meant a heavy hitter. Which meant he was going to be hurting like hell after this was all over. He really shouldn't be as excited and happy at the prospect.
The instant the match began, Before darted towards her, the forced smile on his face betraying his desire to get this over and done with. "Hi! Iunno you, but I'm Before, and this, he then promptly summoned his weapon, swinging the wheel while introducing her, "Is Vanna~"

Fortunately, Kat was able to make it to the semi finals, and without having to endure the mud pit a second time. So far.. If she was lucky enough, she would only have to deal with that once. The rain had long since stopped, but the wind itself had picked up. If things got worse, she would likely have to pull her goggles down in fear of anything blowing into her eyes. No matter though.
Not realizing her own apartment either, Kat approached him as well, summoning her own weapons so that she was not caught unguarded. Unlike Before, her grin was natural, as she was eager to get this battle started. Whether she won or lost, she had had a blast through this tournament.
Bracing herself for the worst of his attack, Kat moved to dart around him, shoving her guns into his shield. "I'm Kat, and this-" She squeezed the triggers, firing onto his shield. "-is Xedis."

The thing about Vanna's design was she wasn't a shield, not a solid one at least. Which meant it left Before vulnerable to projectile types of weaponry. Even more when it was point blank but y'know what, that was the point of being in Sun, wasn't it?
"Well you totes both pack a punch," Before half-coughed, half-laughed. Turning on his heel to swipe at Kat again, this time with the spikes of his wheel.

Preparing herself for the next attack, Kat brought her arms up in defense when Before's weapon was swung at her. What was it whith her being up against people with oversized weapons? Really? First Rep, then Otto, now this guy! It was a shame that Xedis' size didn't change much throughout his growth. Not that she was would change him of course.
"As do you." Jumping back, the sun hunter darted off, gaining some distance between the two of them before taking another shot at the mist hunter.

Before planted Vanna on the ground, distance allowing more room for error as the wheel took the brunt of the shots. The Mist turned Vanna on her spike, then pressed a series of runes on the weapon's surface. Without warning, some of the spikes shot out at Kat, wires humming in the wind.

Kat wasn't too fazed by the sudden attack of spikes shooting out from his weapon. Having fought alongside most hunters, she was used to seeing anything happen from their weapons by now. Aiming another shot, she fired again at the mist hunter, making sure to keep moving.

Rather than reeling the spike back, Before dismissed his weapon to dash towards Kat albeit in a zigzag because he read somewhere that that was a way to avoid getting hit. Or was that gator attacks? He didn't catch up to the Sun unscathed but the momentum he built up was decent enough.
Vanna's size and weight helped when Before summond her and practically slammed the wheel's broadside against Kat.

"Tch." With Before charging towards her, Kat knew that the attack was likely going to pack a powerful punch. Bracing herself for the worst of it, she fired one quick and small shot into the boys shield, taking the hit from him nearly full force.

And this was the sort of situation where having a large weapon became difficult. He'd expected Kat to put distance between them again, and while Vanna wasn't heavy (to him), her size made maneuvering her difficult and awkward when he was getting up close and personal with an opponent.

Still slightly annoyed from having been hit in the side as she had, Kat decided to shoot him in the foot as payback. It wasn't enough to do some real damage, but it was likely going to sting a little.

At the sound, a chihuahua yelped! No, wait, that was just Before. Tempted at he was to yank at Kat's hair in retaliation, he refrained, partly because he wasn't six years old and mostly because there were people watching. Instead, he drove Vanna, spike-down, onto Kat's foot. "Tit-for-Kat," he cheekily declared. Even if the pun made no sense.

Gritting her teeth as the weapon was slammed onto her own foot, Kat instead retaleated by shooting him in the face, as he was left wide open for an attack.
It was plain to see by the grin on her face that she was not sorry.

Before was two things. The first was that he was so ******** grateful for FEAR shields because people liked to shoot things in the face. The second was that he was so ******** unhappy because he just got shot in the face.The maturity gloves came off as Before kicked Kat in the shins.

Oh, the maturity glove was already off, and thrown aside. When Before kicked at the back of her shins, Kat let out a small cry. Oh yeah, maturtity was out the window. Puffing her cheek, the sun hunter quickly moved around her opponent, shooting him once in the butt.
