Big Macintosh + Rarity
The pair is eagerly awaiting a rescue though they have recently migrated their shelter into the trees above their previous campsite. The trees were apparently homes for a long ago group of Pae.
After drinking the "love/breeding" potion, the two have confessed their desires and are now planning their journey home since a rescue seems to be more and more far fetched as the days progress...

Big Mac woke with a great big yawn and a stretch. His stiff body popped periodically before he relaxed and took in his surroundings. It was late afternoon, and by the looks of it, the pair had fallen asleep. That was good for Rarity. A Magic induced hangover was not something that seemed pleasant.

As quietly as he could, he stood, grabbed up the large clear gem and tip-toed out of the hut. The sun had just set. He could tell by the small sliver of orange that lined the eastern horizon and sighed. He crept around a bit until he found his pack at the other hut and gathered up his matches and the torch he'd found. Striking a match, he lit a torch and headed back towards the hut that he left the map in.

With the torch, he lit the remaining two candles the Fairies had left and peered over the map, using the gem as a Magnifying glass. He only hoped this plan would work....

Sleep had no come easy, not through the pain that coursed through her head and her body with every slight movement. But eventually it had come and restored her spirits if but only a little.

Her ears flickered to the sound of soft tip toes, which for hooves wasn't quiet as silent. Groaning, she shifted in the bed, failing to restrain a yawn that only seemed to jar the last ebb of the magical hangover. Squinting her eyes shut, she brought her hands up to rub her temples, only daring to open her eyes after several long moments and slowly made her way to the other hut he was in, pausing to lean against the door frame.

"Anything.... yet...?" she dared to ask him. She knew not if he stayed awake the entire night trying to read the tiny fairy print or if he had fallen asleep. Whatever the case was, all she knew was that her head still hurt, but thankfully not as bad as before.

"Never again.... " she grumbled to herself. He should count his lucky stars she felt for him the way she did... of course... she would have done it anyways. What with all the things he had done for her on this little 'trip', how could she not? He had been more than generous.... and that was her thing after all. She would have done it for anyone really...

But part of her was extremely glad it was him... extremely.

His ears twitched to her approach and he sighed a bit. He still blamed himself for her getting hurt, even if he didn't dwell much on the topic himself... but...

But, at least she was feeling better. He could tell as he looked up to her in the doorframe that she was still battling the effects of magic overdose, but she was coping far better than she had been. He was thankful the effects were temporary, at least.

He set the gem down and rubbed his muzzle a bit. "Nnnnope..." he answered then stood straight, stretching his back a bit before crossing the room to stand in front of her. He lifted her chin, looking her eyes over. Pain was still etched in them, but not cripplingly so.

"Yeh feelin' better?" he asked, completely concerned and brushed his wrist over her forehead. She wasn't feverish. So that was good...

Blushing, Rarity took his hand from her chin with both of her own, nuzzling it before patting it gently and putting it back down at his side. "Nothing I can't live with." she smiled before glancing over at the map.

"Still too small.... how do they even tell what they wrote then... Blast where is Twilight here with a fairy writing reading spell or something...." she sighed and pressed a hand to her forehead again, shaking her head side to side. All that for nothing... but at least.. they tried...? "Looks like we just have to keep going forward I suppose." she said and groaned.

That meant more walking... and she didn't feel up to that in the slightest. She also didn't feel up to being out here much longer and just wanted to scream at the top of her lungs. She had resisted thus far... but the jungle was probably just lucky on that front.

He smiled softly, thankful that there wasn't any continual issue with this magic overdose stuff...

He then sighed deeply and looked down at the map in defeat. He was silent a few moments before tossing the gem up a bit and catching it in his palm again. Guess they'd make for the lake tomorrow morning..

But they'd already slept! So Big Mac was wide awake now as he was sure Rarity was. And it was too late to go traipsing through the woods. Whatever critters there were out there, they apparently hunted at night. He wasn't about to put either of them at risk like that.

Then the dim bulb brightened. He set the gem down and took Rarity by the hand. "Follow me..." he half whispered and began leading her towards the tallest tree hut. Once there, he climbed the small step ladder up then leaned over the opening and offered his hand to help her up.

Once at the top, Rarity could look up. The sky above them littered with billions of glittering stars - much like they did back in Equestria. It was the same sky, in a way, but it was still just as beautiful a sight to behold.

Unsure what his plan was, she put her hand in his and allowed herself to be led off to... well wherever he led them off too.

Confused at him suddenly taking her back to the tallest hut, she allowed him to help her up the ladder, her head still pulsating with an annoying continuous drone. "Big Mac... I think if were not going anywhere I'd like to g-..." she paused as she blinked her big baby blue eyes up at the sky.

Stars speckled the horizon as far as the eye could see and began twinkling in what was left of the day. Apparently they had slept more than she realized... which she wasn't complaining about.

But this.. this was truly beautiful and she found her breath catching in her throat from awe. Her mouth was open slightly and she reached over to wrap her arms around his. "Stunning.... magnificent...almost like... home." she said breathlessly. Home meaning their real home, not their new home.

She smiled and leaned her head on his arm, gazing up at the stars. "Would also make a beautiful dress...."

Big Mac chuckled and sat back on the roof of the hut. He gently gave a tug to Rarity's hand for her to follow his lead then laid back, crossing his arms under his head and looking at the stars.

One of his favorite past-times would be to lay back in the fields and stare at the stars. He found it a good way to wind down, relax and plan out the next day's activities.

"I never did thank yeh..." he started in a half-whisper. "Yeh didn't have to make that gem. But I still thank yeh for trying, none-the-less."

Taking this chance to summon all the ungodly courage within her bones, she snuggled closer to Big Mac, smiling. "You've helped me plenty Big Macintosh.... I think getting a little headache for a clear gem for you to use was nothing a gal like me couldn't handle." she lied. Well not fully. Most of it was true.. except it was a BIG headache... and still was quite irritating as the dull throb continued relentlessly in the back of her mind.

She was glad she had spent most of the day sleeping, she couldn't imagine being even more useless to him than she already was. She was also glad for a small chance to relax without fear or something coming to eat her brains. "So don't mention it." she laughed and reached over to gently pinch his cheek.

Big Mac gave a chuckle and blushed faintly as she 'pinched his cheek'. He sighed contently and looked back up at the stars, moving an arm down to wrap around Rarity and gently hug a bit before resting his hand on her arm.

Above them a star shot across the sky and Big Mac closed his eyes with a smile, making a wish to himself.

"Once we get back, Rarity." he started as he opened his eyes and looked down at her. "Promise me we won't go on no more Fairy hiking trips?" He only half teased. But he chuckled a bit, regardless.

"I believe I already made you make this promise." she laughed.. but agreed. No more fairy trips for either of them! "The next time I get an inkling for adventure, let's just walk around the tree...." she laughed. And then paused.

He wouldn't be at the tree anymore... he'd be at the new barn he and the Apple Family were building. She frown slightly. "Or I'll just journey to the farm.." she added as an after thought. She then yawned, shutting her eyes. Her head and body still ached... she could do with another semi early night of sleep...

PostPosted: Sun Oct 13, 2013 7:59 pm
He gave a bit of a hearty chuckle. He knew she had. He merely wanted to hear her agree to it himself. Her making him agree was obviously not enough to his own thoughts to believe this wouldn't happen again.

Though, he wouldn't mind getting stranded with Rarity again. He just didn't like the 'lost on an island they weren't entirely familiar with' part...

He opened his mouth to respond to her comment about walking with the tree, but quickly shut it as she added her after thought. The idea alone, made him frown slightly. They would be a couple of miles apart, wouldn't they...?

His gaze met the stars again as he drifted into his own thoughts. What if courting Rarity was out of the question after all? What if the two of them just didn't mesh well? What if, in trying to make up for lost time together, they forget to do their own duties? Then the farm would wither and the crops would spoil. Rarity wouldn't make enough of anything to sell and keep her shop afloat. The two of them would lose grasp of their destinies...

He turned his worried gaze down to Rarity and opened his mouth again, but this time he shut it again for a different reason. She looked so peaceful drifting off to sleep against him like that...

All worry faded in that instant. He smiled and gently brushed a thumb over her shoulder.

They'd make it work. They'd just have to. And if it didn't work for them, then it wasn't meant to be. But who was he to think such a think without giving it a proper try?!

He took a deep breath and yawned upon exhale, closing his eyes as well and welcomed sleep again.

-------------------------------------------

Big Mac yawned and fluttered his eyes open. The first small rays of morning were peeking over the horizon. Already, the birds were waking and gathering food. He stretched a bit - as much as he dared with a sleeping Rarity at his side - and continued to lay there lazily a moment or two longer. He guessed she would wake soon and relaxed in the moment. They had a lot of walking to do today so any rest who could get would be necessary..

Rarity had good dreams, to say the least. They weren't the best as they could have been... as her dreams revolved around trying to figure out the distance thing between her and Big Mac... but he was ever so sweet in her dreams.. and had made her every promise she ever dreamed of from her 'dream stallion.'

But all dreams had to come to an end, and with a soft muffled like coo, a stir and a roll over to snuggle against the warm thing next to her, Rarity slowly began to wake up.

It took her quite a few minutes to fully jog herself, having now quite effectively slept off her magical hangover. Slowly blinking open one eye, she spotted first a mass of red fur before making out ever so familiar muscles. She blushed and shrank into herself, silently giggling in embarrassment. "Good Morning... Big Macintosh..."

PostPosted: Mon Oct 14, 2013 8:11 pm
Large green eyes shifted under half-opened slits to set their focus upon Rarity's stirring figure. He smiled softly as she woke and nodded a bit as she acknowledged him.

"Mornin', Rarity." he offered then yawned, stretching out completely now that he knew he wasn't going to disturb her in doing so.

He sat up, rolling his shoulders and bending his neck about to get completely stretched. They had a lot to do to get going... well... maybe not a whole lot, but enough. In an effort to stand without falling off the roof, he rolled over - effectively throwing a leg over Rarity's legs and straddling her. He was practically pinning her down at this point. He didn't realize just what he had done until he blinked down at Rarity. A bright red glow washed over his cheeks and he quickly sprang up and rubbed the back of his neck shyly.

"My apologies, Rarity. I can assure you that I wasn't tryin' anythin'..." he gave a bit of a nervous laugh then shook his head. Clearing his throat, he offered a hand to help her to her hooves.

"D-Didja Sleep well?"

Once he had stirred and greeted her, she stretched, yawning and rolling over on to her back to stretch and squirm more, working out every kin in her body... and possibly wiggling a little bit seductively... but of course not on purpose noooooo she would never do such a thing!

And then he was on top of her....

He was...

On...

TOP of..

Her....

She stared at him, eyes half shut, a mixture of shock, curiosity and confusion on her face as all she could do was simply blink her eyes until he got off.

AND now that that was over... she took his hand and got carefully to her hooves. "Ehehehee...eehh... ahh.... " She hadn't a clue what to say... Though he looked so genuinely upset and ashamed he had managed to... -somehow- ... accidentally do such a thing..

The Idea wasn't all terrible...

No.. no.. bad Rarity...

"Yes... I slept quite well.. thank you. But... eager to get home now." she said and offered him a soft laugh before wrapping both her arms around one of his for fear of falling off the roof.
