Mt. Ferros Intermediate Rank, Levels 1 - 20 Home to Rock, Ground, and Fire Types Forming a border around the west and south sides of Armonia is a long mountain range known as Mt. Ferros. In truth, Mt. Ferros is a dormant volcano, known for its fertile red soil. It's also a primary source of ore for Armonia. Although it's been many years since the last eruption, that doesn't mean the inside of the volcano is any less dangerous -- Mt. Ferros is full of long, intricate caverns, with a temperature so hot that only Fire, Rock, and Ground Pokemon can navigate it without help. Other Pokemon must obtain aVial of Waterto withstand the heat for more than a few minutes. In an effort to encourage treasure hunters to bring in items for the Gracidea Trading Association, Kasimira has a special promotion going on at her shop, offering Vials of Water for free.

Ridley ran into the volcano, not being able to wait to explore the location. He looked back and forth for a moment, surveying the surroundings. He mouthed the word 'wow', eyes wide. This was going to be awesome, he just knew it.
He hoped he got lots of battles too, anything to make himself stronger so he could later protect other Pokemon when he gets bigger.

In this room, there wasn't much besides a Vial of Water, but at least he didn't have to go to the store again to get another one.

Ridley moved to the next area, tail wagging. "Hmm, what's in here?" He mused to himself, searching every nook and cranny of the area. He had to be careful about touching though, letting out a yelp when he placed a paw on a hot rock. I guess it's still hot in here, though it's not active. He thought, blowing on his paws.
It was a momentary set back as he pressed on.

A Cheri Berry. Was this supposed to be funny, or was it ironic? Either way, Ridley just shrugged, stashing the berry and continuing on his way.
Ridley entered the next area. He had to wonder what sort of Pokemon resided in this volcano. He figured mostly fire type Pokemon, maybe a few rock or ground types. He wondered if anything else could take the lingering heat of the mountain. He looked at the ceiling of the cave. "Would it be too hot for Zubats?" He mused to himself yet again. He then chuckled at the image of the poor bats doing a little 'dance' on the ceiling of the cave, hopping from one foot to another because of the temperature of the rocks they were perched on.

Well, speaking of Pokemon. He blinked as he looked at a Numel in front of him. It didn't seem happy to see him as it glared at him and puffed smoke from its nose. "Um... am I intruding?" Ridley asked nervously.

Well, if the Riolu was intruding, it seemed that he wasn't going to get an answer as the Numel charged at him. "Hey!" He exclaimed as he quickly jumped out of the way, watching the other Pokemon bash into the wall behind him.
Ridley quickly moved to the next area before the Numel could regain consciousness and charge him again. He wasn't too happy on how he handled that fight, but he was caught off guard. Hopefully next time he would be better prepared and he could actually defend himself with an attack rather than just get lucky.

Well, it seems that Ridley will get that chance sooner than expected. Hearing chittering, he looked up and saw a Zubat. He pouted when it seems that what he pictured wasn't true. He braced himself when he watched the Zubat fall from its perch and fly toward him

Even being prepared, the results weren't so good. He tried using Quick Attack on the bat, but ended up missing. In return, he received a Confuse Ray and ended up walking straight into the wall.
Ridley managed to stumble to the next area when the confusion faded. He shook his head, clearing his head. "Woah, that was weird. I don't wanna be confused again." He said with a snort. Giving his head one last shake, he looked around the new location, wondering if there was anything good around.

Oh no! Another Numel! Or was it the same one? He hoped not, otherwise it would have a bigger reason to be mad at him. Though his head was still spinning slightly, he braced himself for this attack as well

This time, the Riolu had a better result. When the Numel charged for a Tackle, he was ready for it. Taking the hit, Ridley retaliated with Counter, sending the fire Pokemon flying.
Ridley jumped up and down at his victory and not feeling like a coward because he just got out of the way of the attack. Tail wagging excitedly, he ran into the next area and looked around. It was then that he remembered that he was on a quest and was supposed to be looking for Slugma. So far, it didn't seem like there were any around. Hopefully he could run into one -or three- soon.
