It was a very confusing time. Eliah had...well, he wasn't sure exactly what had happened, to be perfectly honest. The last thing he knew was that he was on his way to secretly meet with with the leader of the Celts in the cover of darkness, and then there was the falling sensation. It had seemed like he had been falling for ages until finally he stopped with a short stop on hard ground. How he hadn't been killed on impact was beyond him, but he was immensely grateful that the only injury he sustained was some bruising and a major headache.

When he had looked around him it was daylight and he was in some kind of small crater. Puzzled as to how he got there he climbed out, wincing as his body complained of the movement. Where was he? How had he gotten here?

Could he go home? '...do I want to go home?' The stallion asked himself finally. This place he was in...it was quiet. The air didn't have this sort of tension and fear, anger and intimidation that he had grown so used to. He wasn't entirely comfortable with it, finding it quite a shock, but he didn't think he hated it either.

It had been quite a few hours since he had woken up here and he had traveled a bit of a ways, and so far had yet to come across anyone in this strange, peaceful land. He was beginning to think that maybe he was the only one here.

Mayura was out for a stroll, trying to get her tail feathers to dry out. It had rained hard last night, and of course she hadn't found shelter enough to keep herself dry. They'd mostly fluffed back out again, but the undermost feathers were still a bit soggy. She'd been walking for about an hour, no particular direction in mind, when she realized she could smell the scent of roses.

"There aren't any roses around here," she thought. She turned and started moving toward the source of the smell, curious what was producing it. As she got nearer, she was surprised to see a stallion wandering.

The further away from his point of origin he walked the more he noticed sign of a hard rain. It was a little humid, the ground in this area was softer from the mud beneath the grass and he sank a little more than normal in it. It was at this point when he finally looked down and saw that he no longer had feet, but hooves, and was the cause of this abnormal sinking. 'What dark magic is this?!' Eliah asked himself in a panic, finally taking a moment to look himself over. He still had his cape and he could feel the crown on his head, and he was covered in yellow roses.

Was this the work of the heathen gods?! An angry warlock?! Had his attempt to meet with the Celt leader a plot of theirs to eliminate part of the Bloodrose line and cost their army a general and a prince?! There were many questions running through his head, each either worrying him more or making him more angry. After a while of this he began to force himself to calm down, knowing that panic and anger in a strange land would get him nowhere. His head was pounding now.

Finally, in the distance, he saw something. Turning to look it was a horse, but a horse unlike any he had ever laid eyes on. She was a gorgeous mare and made him think of some never before seen exotic bird with those beautiful green tail feathers where a normal horse tail should be, with jewelry in her long mane and around her neck. Again, he was at a loss at what to think of this. This land, this realm he was in, was no ordinary place.

Was she like him, fallen or transported from some other world and changed in appearance when landing here? Was she a native that could help? His need for answers spurred him forward as he began to run towards her. "You there!" He called out, forgetting about politeness.

Mayura looked around, searching for a third Star on the scene. Who in the world was he talking to? Her eyes failed to produce the sight of anyone but him. The mysterious stranger, who seemed to be the source of the sweet, flowery scent. She trotted over to him and noticed the roses woven throughout his hair and around his neck. She began to sniff each rose systematically until all of them had been smelled. Satisfied that he was, in fact, the source of the smell in this place far from any rose bushes, she turned and began to move away. I wonder how the roses stay so fresh when they are no longer growing on a bush? she thought to herself. But she knew there was probably no answer to this mystery, so she shrugged and put it out of her mind.

His pace slowed as the mare began to walk towards him Good, he'd gotten her attention. "Do you happen to-excuse me? What are you doing?" Eliah's eyes widen in surprise and his brows furrowed as the strange bird-like equine continued to move towards him and...sniffed him? No, not him, the roses in his hair. Wait, what? Roses in his hair?!

The stallion was becoming more confused with each new discovery. "What in the-?! Excuse me, do you mind?" No, no apparently she didn't. Did this girl have no concept of personal space? Did she think him some...rosebush she could just smell and walk away from without answering him?! He was no plant! He was the prince of a powerful nation and a major general in it's army! No one treated him like a flower. He was a Bloodrose, not some ordinary vanity garden variety. Bloodrose meant power!

...but he wasn't home anymore. That name meant nothing here. Oh cruel fate! He refused to act as if this changed how he should see himself and how he should be treated by others. "You there, peasant girl! Listen to me when I speak to you!" Eliah demanded, stamping his hoof on the ground.

Mayura stopped and craned her neck back over her shoulder, one eyebrow raised. I'm still not sure who you're talking to but there are no peasants around here, whatever that is. He seemed awfully indignant for someone who was out for a walk. If he had a problem and wanted help, he should just ask for it. Or perhaps his parents had never bothered to teach him manners. Either way, it was not her business.

She began to turn back around and leave, but he seemed to want something more from her, so she walked circles around him instead. She had to keep moving and get air flowing through her feathers or they'd *never* dry.

"How can you have no idea who it is I'm speaking to when you and I are the only ones here? Do you think I speak to the ground? Do you think me daft?" Eliah couldn't believe this girl. He could walk up to literally anyone else and if he said 'Hey you' they would think he was talking to them, or at the very least ask if he was. She was just completely ignoring him, thinking he was talking to the sky. And why couldn't she just stand still?! What was with the circling?!

It was driving him mad, and in his years of the military he was not appreciating being circled like a new recruit being scolded in front of the men. There was an added tension of feeling like he was being scorned by his mother, which he was very unappreciative of. How he hated when he would get in trouble in his younger years.

With a huff he took to circling as well, making it almost look like they were sizing each other up for a fight. In his mind he kind of was. Eliah figured she would be easy to defeat, though there was no honor in besting a female in combat. "My name is Eliah Bloodrose," he began, deciding it would perhaps be for the better to just launch into it. "I am not from around here and I do not know where home is. I have...fallen, or been transported by some powerful black magic or the heathen gods to this place. Where am I and why am I in the form of a stallion?

Mayura stopped walking abruptly. "Ooooh, you're new here," she said. She nodded as she realized his strange behavior was completely due to the fact that he'd come from another time and place; from a completely different culture. Though where he could have come from that allowed such a high and mighty attitude, she could not imagine. She resumed her circles as she thought for a few moments, then headed in a straight line. "Follow me," she said, without looking back to see if he would. She knew that this Eliah Bloodrose would want answers, and as she seemed to be the first Star he had encountered, he had little choice. Unless he wanted to wander around on his own, that is. But she was betting he would want some food or water, and she'd seen a good location while she'd been wandering today.

And if she was wrong, and he *did* go off on his own, it was no matter to her. She would find something new to occupy her time.

Yes, new here. Perhaps he should have said that earlier, as it seemed the mare now knew what was going on and what to do. Eliah stopped when she did and stared after her for a moment after she bade him to follow her. The stallion looked around him, though he didn't know why, wondering if he should. Well...he didn't really have much of a choice. Follow the mare into some unknown, or go out into the unknown on his own?

He'd take his chances with the mare. Perhaps she would lead him to someone who did have some answers? Some local wizard? ...did they even have wizards in this place? Eliah followed after her, keeping an eye out for any shady activity. One couldn't be too trusting. That's how fools get killed, and he was no fool.
