Davyne's world had been moved, shaken and changed. The winds had howled, the stars aligned and finally, she had found the reason for her existance.

Davyne had found out about DETH.

Okay, so it was less of a 'reason for her existance' and more of a 'finally finding a hobby she was passionate about'. But nonetheless!

Finding and reading through the materials of the DETH Scout starter kit had been an eye-opening experience. It was true, her family had always quietly been of the opinion that killing humans for their FEAR was wrong (and mighty short-sighted, besides), but she'd never before seen it written down like this, so concise and rational, making such perfect sense!

Davyne was hooked. She needed to share this revelation of epic proportions with someone equally enthusiastic - and this was why she'd meticulously gone about making a handful of small posters advertising for a partner for DETH activities. A time and a date for meeting up had been noted, as well as the location ('the library'), the first activity ('Human Explorer') and a small description of herself ('blonde female Reaper'), just in case anyone had trouble pointing out who the writer was when they arrived at their destination. And now she sat patiently waiting at one of the library's tables, atlas of the Human World and a notebook ready.

Human Explorer: Borrow from your school library a Human World Atlas. Take a look at the places listed, and their highlighted attractions. Now, imagine yourself in that location.

- What would you eat if you were there?
- How would you interact with the local humans there?
- Write a small summary about your day in the life there.

A flier! Tomoko liked fliers sometimes. This one had been particularly interesting as the ghoul read about a DETH meet up to work on one of their little projects! Ooooohhh! She hadn't found anybody to do any of those with yet, thus it had been very exciting to the kitsune to take one off the wall and cautiously head up to the library.

Looking between the paper she held and those who were in the room, Tomoko quickly located the individual she was looking for and made her way over to the table in question, setting down the flier first, before her ball of stars.

"Hi, I'm Tomoko." she introduced with a small bow, "and I saw your flier, Still looking for someone?"

"Indeed I am." One hand moved in a welcoming gesture as Davyne nodded to the newcomer, "you are the first to arrive. Have you arranged with anyone else to join us?" A quick glance the way that Tomoko had arrived failed to reveal anyone else making their way towards the duo.

Tomoko shook her head, realizing she could have asked Jack or Thackeray to come with her. Shoot.

"No, just me." she replied, taking a seat as her ears drooped awkwardly. "Nice to meet you..um..." a pause and Tomoko looked back at the flier to check for a name.

"Davyne," the Reaper supplied. "And it is pleasant to make your acquaintance, as well." How could it not be? Someone who shared her enthusiasm for DETH was bound to be a good, practical person of sound mind.

"Are you experienced in the ways of DETH activities? I must admit that this is to be my first. I am still quite, well, new to all of this. I hope you will not hold it against me and bear with my ignorance, for now." Nodding slightly and knotting her hands together, Davyne waited. It was a galling thing to admit her own inexperience, but surely Tomoko would not be frightened away by something so trivial. Surely.

Tomoko's cheeks turned pink for a moment as she touched the crack in her face anxiously. "Well, I haven't had much experience in them due to family reasons as of late...but I did go with DETH to a haunted house in the human world where humans actually go just to be scared!" she sounded so excited all of a sudden, perking up.

"It was actually kind of nice knowing humans make a conscious effort towards being afraid every now and then - kinda like they like it sometimes?" she sunk down a bit, embarrassed by her inability to string a proper thought together.

"Amazing!" And Davyne really was amazed, unknotting her hands and forgetting her former trepidation at the revealing of new information. "What an extraordinary experience!" There was a slight hint of envy in her voice, but also a fair bit of admiration. "I had no idea humans did something like that - and they even enjoy it, you say? Amazing," noticing that she was starting to repeat herself, the Reaper cleared her throat and daintily folded her hands. "And I agree, that is a most pleasant thought - that the humans are not entirely against the creation of FEAR is an auspicious thing for DETH, indeed!"

Tomoko's voice got quiet as she took a glace at the other students in the library. "There was even a woman who could see us and she had actually set up the haunted house to help us out."

She sounded really excited.

"Truly?" Davyne's eyes went wide, unable to maintain her expression of disinterest completely. "That is, that's - remarkable! How utterly remarkable..." her voice was hushed, but there was a fervent tone of excitement in it that was matching Tomoko's; indeed, it had been a long time since she'd shown this much emotion all at once. Her hands were fluttering over the notebook and atlas, although the Reaper herself barely even noticed her own actions, "that is rather the sort of thing to make one want to support DETH and their goals, is it not? Solid proof that humans are not merely the unthinking cattle that some would claim they are - but rather, even capable of showing empathy!

"Indeed, I must confess that I am rather envious of your trip to the human world. It sounds like a once in a lifetime experience." Clasping her hands together, Davyne nodded to the other ghoul, "thank you, truly, for sharing it with me. It has only added to my fervour to support DETH."

Tomoko clapsed her hands together. "That trip made me realize that DETH was my calling." In any other context it probably would have sounded like she was turning into a religious fanatic. In fact, she probably sounded like one anyways, but Davyne was in there with her, so Tomoko didn't even think about that. "A good, safe, renewable resource what even we can participate without putting any parties at risk is something that all of Halloween should see is the most reasonable course of action."

Unfortunately, she fully realized there were those who only lived for violence against one another and that would never really be easily changed. Perhaps not even in her (very long) lifetime.

"But let's put that aside for a moment, which task were you looking to do?"

"The 'Human Explorer'-one is what I had in mind." Davyne slid the atlas and notebook towards Tomoko, "I have written the specifications of the task down in the notebook and prepared a human world atlas, as asked in the text. If the choice of activity meets your approval, would you do the honour of choosing the first place?"

"Ohhhh! That one.." Tomoko glanced over the notebook briefly before perking up. "I'd love to do this one, it's not bad at all and there are a lot of places in the human world." Meaning the activity could probably be done time and time again.

Still, as Tomoko looked at the atlas, she seemed to be briefly at a loss of where to even start. "...You can pick if you want...." she said quietly, clearly overwhelmed by so much option.

"If you wish," taking a hold of the atlas and bringing it back before herself, Davyne quickly pondered how best to go about doing this. "Let us do this by random, shall we?" Closing her eyes, she started flipping back and forth between the many pages of the atlas before finally settling on one.

"Let's see what we have here..." her eyes scanned the page quickly, but t'was a place wholly unfamiliar to her. "Ireland it is, then!"

It would probably be more practical if they could both read from the book at once, so the Reaper scooted her chair closer to Tomoko and brought the atlas to sit between them. "One wonders what this place has done to deserve a name such as that; are the people there particularly ireful, perhaps?"

Tomoko looked at the atlas as well as the pictures that were in it when Davyne opened it to the 'Ireland' page, tapping her lower lip thoughtfully as she did so.

"That's a possibility. The book doesn't say anything on that?" she asked, browsing the page but not seeing anything. "So it's an island full of angry people?" She may not have actually known what the word 'Ire' was, to be honest, but it wasn't for a lack of trying.
