Because it's fairly prerequisite that all dorks at least know how to play an RPG, which do you guys play? I'm curious. You can reply with tabletop or videogames... and MMORPG's (*shudder*) for the sake of discussion, though I myself am more interested in the tabletop/ pen and paper variety.

Which brings me to my ulterior motive. I've skimmed through the guilds here on Gaia, and all of the D&D based guilds blow. I mean not only do they blow, they SUPER blow, okay? They blow so hard, you could sit them all next to the leaning tower of Piza, and the force would push it upright, okay? Every guild is either run by a twerp, or has a ridiculous plot. Let's not forget all those guilds where not even the owner can spell more than a five letter word. stare After seeing that, I do not even want to know what the White Wolf and anime based role playing guilds look like. Probably a bunch of angsty 12 year old wampires, acting as if they could even have the slightest smidgen of a clue as to what it's like to be 14398439847 years old, sitting there arguing about who's powers are bigger. I have a feeling finding a decent guild would be like swimming through a sea of tar, trying to find my left shoe, when I have a pair of fresh sneakers in the other hand.

Translation: It'd be easier to start a guild myself. I have been looking for a forum based role play, but be damned if I can find something that's run by someone who's finished puberty yet, or something that attracts members who have a collective IQ higher than that of my household pets. Anyway, I'd need to start questing for the gold, but I have to find at least a handful of people who are both intellegent and interested in a fairly casual forum RPG, in a midieval, D&D-like setting. I mean, you're all dorks, and you've all proven that you can write a sentence. O_o What more could I want? n__n Feel free to inquire for details.

Haha.. LARP'ers amuse me. Not that I'm against it, I just couldn't look at my buddy and imagine him as a gnome without laughing my butt off, you know? I can imagine, that he's imagining someone like that... but acting as the character would? Well... I dunno. I can't imagine how many skinny little gamer guys are playing paladins with like STR 40, level... 4897438. o__o I could never look at them without laughing. n__n Maybe if there was a rule about, I'unno, "Please be slightly suited to what you're playing", maybe I'd dig that. Skoo could be the halfling, and I could be... o_O Hm. Prolly the dwarf or the half orc, or some other big mamajamma like that. *ish... rotund* n__n

I lie Fable and Dark Alliance for X-Box.

Your right. A lot of RPs suck. I would love to join yours. I had a D&D character made and everything, but my mom think's its evil, so I couldn't use him. He was a half elf.

I suppose the main staple of my RPG diet would be basically all the Final Fantasy console games leading up to and including number 10. The Golden Sun games for Gameboy are really cool. The 4 Mario RPGs were all pretty good. I also really enjoyed Tales of Symphonia for the Gamecube. Ragnarok Online is a pretty cool MMORPG too.

Never really played any games such as D&D. As for RPing, well, yeah. Let's just say thats not for me.

And I agree with you, Fur. Often times you find a guild you're interested in, but the idiots in there run the whole idea into the ground. If you want something done right, you gotta do it yourself! ninja

Mwuhahahahahahaha, I did not read the rules! wait...were there any rules? o.o' ANYWAY, I like those really dramatic role-plays, their really really FUN! Don't mind me...I had a secret dose of sugar, HEY! I HAD SUGAR?! WHEN DID THAT HAPPEN!? scream I also like role-plays where you can just pick your character's eye color, hair color, personality, etc. I like those where you level up, and fight, and equip. You have an inventory, spells, money, stores, towns...etc etc. oO' Am I making any sense here? I have no clue........=o

Most of my time nowadays is spent playing World of Warcraft. It's why my dork modding self hasnt been around all that much sweatdrop

I've also played FF 4 and up as well as chrono trigger. every so often i'll pick up a title like Star Ocean: Till the ends of time or Arc the Lad. Xenogears is an old favorite. Dragon warrior VII is the only title from that series i've played.

D and D has been the staple food of my tapletop diet. I played A bit o Mage with my brother when i visted him at his cologe, but thats the only exsperiance i have with White Wolf.

Suikoden! how could i forget that!

oh, and Legends of legia. I still cry at night when i think of it's sequal *shudder*

I've got Dragon Warrior I&II. The first one is pretty sweet. I hate Dragon Warrior VII though. Hours upon tens of hours, all wiped out thanks yet another playstation memory card crapping out.

Yep! Pretty much, pretty much. I'm still in the pondering stages at the moment. S'cool. MMORPG... THAT is definately not for -me-, sounds like in the same way RPing isn't for you. stare I think MMORPG's are bad for you. Like smoking. Or drinking too often. Or... crack. It's like one of those things you just shouldn't start. Because if you don't START you don't have to QUIT. I'm really burned by them, because a long-time friend of mine got sucked into one. I find it highly suspicious that he could be my buddy all that time, and could talk to me at least three or four times a week, and then just suddenly, when he gets his hands on an MMORPG, stop talking to me, isn't even online, and when he does get in touch, just says things like, "I can't handle talking to people right now. [Drama drama, bullshit bullshit.]". ... Crack. Pure, unadulterated crack. For some people, anyway. I think you should have to be tested for addictive tendancies before you can play an MMORPG. stare
